"No Greater Love" - New Hope Novel

WMU's New Hope Publishers is launching a new fiction category. They are initiating an Amazon blast on April 27, 2010 (next Tuesday) to raise awareness of New Hope Publishers and the authors in a way that enhances visibility and sales for all of New Hope's books and authors. Like every new title New Hope releases, they want to make an impact on both the market place and readers’ lives. Please help make this campaign successful by joining in this effort! Your investment is also an investment in ongoing sales of all New Hope titles.

*Facebook this – “New – Fiction with a Mission – get it today at Amazon - http:/ASIN.cc/~CKC_c

*Newsletter – Put a note in your newsletter subscribers promoting this new fiction series from New Hope

*Blog about it

About the book:

Forbidden romance, an unlikely martyr and an even more unlikely hero. Orphaned four years earlier when their parents, active in the African National Congress (ANC) movement against apartheid, were murdered—16-year-old Chioma and her 15-year-old brother Masozi now live and work on an Afrikaner family’s farm.

When Chioma and Andrew, the farm owner’s son, find themselves attracted to one another, tragedy revisits their lives. Chioma escapes to join an ANC rebel band in her effort to survive and gain revenge for her family and culture. When cultures clash in life-or-death struggles, Chioma must choose between violence and revenge—or forgiveness and selfless love.

Loosely based on historical events and set near Pretoria, South Africa, in the violent upheaval prior to ANC leader Nelson Mandela’s release from prison in 1990 and his ascendance to the presidency of South Africa, this story of forbidden romance produces an unlikely martyr who is replaced by one even more unlikely.
CALL TO PRAYER FOR CHILE, March 7-14

The following message comes from Clara Huff, former IMB missionary to Chile and a current WMU NC Executive Board member. Please join us in praying for Chile.

The Baptist Convention of Chile, through the prayer chair person, has called for a week of prayer for Chile, March 7-14. Especially, they are asking that each family have a time of prayer together at 10 PM each evening for the country and the people who are affected. They also request all churches have a special half-hour prayer service this coming Sunday at 11:30 AM in every church, to be united in prayer for Chile. The young people specifically ask that everyone have a moment of prayer for Chile every 30 minutes. Also, the President-elect of Chile will take office in the next few days, and he needs our prayers.

The prayer chair person for the Convention is a former student of mine, Haydee Fonseca. Pray for the President of the Baptist Convention of Chile, Raquel Contreras (featured in Missions Mosaic, August 2009) as well. Her mother was Rebecca Eddinger, a missionary to Chile from Winston Salem, NC. Raquel needs our prayers.

Blessings,

Clara Huff
