From January 1 – March 31, Witness seeks submissions that explore, enlarge, and expand the idea of ghosts, in any and all genres. We encourage submissions that are unique and innovative in their approach to the theme.  </p>
<p>From September 1 &#8211; December 1, <em>Witness</em> will accept non-thematic general submissions for future issues. Please do not submit thematic work during the general reading period and vice versa.</p>

		<description><![CDATA[Applications are now being accepted for the Diana L. Bennett Fellowships at the Black Mountain Institute at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Up to three fellowships with a stipend of $50,000 each will be awarded, and the deadline for applications is December 1, 2012.]]></description>

The application for the 2014-15 fellowship cycle will be posted on September 1, 2013, and the postmark deadline for applications will be December 1, 2013. The 2013-14 fellows will be notified on or before May 1, 2013.</em></strong></p>
<p>Applications are now being accepted for the Diana L. Bennett Fellowships at the Black Mountain Institute at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Up to three fellowships with a stipend of $50,000 each will be awarded to outstanding writers who have published at least one book in English. Postmark deadline for applications is December 1, 2012.</p>
