Holiday Craft Bazaar

On November 13-14 Margaret attended a Holiday Craft Bazaar at FUUSA, the First Unitarian Universalist Society of Albany, with Wolftree Farm honey, beeswax candles, beeswax ornaments and her handquilted knitting baskets. This was her successful entree into the craft fair world. Next year she hopes to expand the fiber offerings to include felted Icelandic wool mittens.

We successfully raised and processed nearly 300 broiler chickens this year. We learned a lot in the process and are really pleased with their quality.

Mangels!

We’ve been digging mangel beets and forage turnips to supplement the sheep’s diets over the winter. Our dear friends Lou and Robin of Blue Heron farm worked with us to plant these crops in some spare beds at their farm. We were all floored by how large they grew.

We chop the roots with an antique root cutter borrowed from our friends at Northland Sheep Dairy.
