Professional manicures can cost a lot of money, and you may not be able to afford to get your nails cared for very often this way, however if you spend a bit of time and effort on a home manicure you can get some wonderful results, and this is a cheap and effective way to keep your nails in good shape.

Equipment

It is important you spend a little money at the beginning investing in a few pieces of quality manicure equipment, as this will last you well and help you to get the best results. Having a good selection of buffing and shaping equipment can also help to prevent you from damaging your nails, as harsh over buffing can weaken the nail causing it to become weak and split. Nail technicians use handheld nail buffers, which have three or four sides with different grades of emery and smoothing boards on them. These are ideal as they give you more control over how much you buff, smooth and shape your nails. A good quality basecoat is also essential as this can be applied on its own to provide a glossy, clear protective coat to your nails, or it can be used under nail polish to prevent the polish from staining your nails. You should also invest in an intensive cuticle cream and orange stick, which will help you to safely push back cuticles and create a better shape for your nail.

You can also buy manicure kits all in one, and these will contain everything you need to give yourself a complete home manicure.

Preparing the Hands

You will need to prepare your hands before you start your manicure by soaking them for a few minutes in warm water and then washing them thoroughly, taking care to get all of the dirt out from under the nails. Now smooth over a little cuticle cream, let it soak in for a few moments and gently push the cuticles back using an orange stick. Rub over some hand cream and leave it to settle in for a few minutes before you start the manicure.

Buffing

Buffing is an essential stage of the home manicure process, but this must be done correctly to avoid damaging the nail. Start with the roughest side of your handheld nail buffer, and gentle buff each nail all over for just a few seconds using a gentle side-to-side motion. This will help to smooth out any obvious ridges. Now turn the nail buffer over and use the smoother side to go over the nails again, gently buffing them for a bit longer this time (no more than 10-20 seconds on each). Now you can go over each nail quickly with the shiner side of the nail buffer, which will bring the nail up with a nice glossy finish.

Influenced by porn movies, many of is image that a sexual intercourse should last forever for both parties to be fully satisfied.

Seems like we are way off, say the American sexologists who bring us down to earth: pleasure can be obtain simpler and faster than we’ve ever thought.

Starting from the data collected during the researches, experts divided the sexual act into the following categories: “too short”, “too long”, “adequate/normal” and “ideal”

So, if from the moment of penetration until ejaculation only 1 or 2 minutes pass, the intercourse is obviously too short. On the other ‘hand’, if it takes between 15 and 30 minutes, it is considered too long.

According to scientists, the adequate/average sex takes between 3 and 7 minutes, and ideal means 7-14 minutes.

What do you think? Is “too long” too short or viceversa? How long does your intercourses take?

There are some great fashion bargains online, and the best thing is you can search the fashion ranges on offer from main high street stores, catalogues and action sites 24/7, so if you are too busy to get to the shops yourself you can still stock up on all of the latest hot season trends. Shopping online is very convenient, but there are a number of things you need to watch out for so here are a few tips for buying clothes and shoes over the Internet.

Postage
Don’t forget to check the postage costs and add them to the final price. If you are shopping from a main high street store website then you will often be paying a bit more than if you bought the item in store, because of postage and packing. Look out for those online stores that have offers on postage such as free delivery for orders over £50, and rather than buying clothes from lots of different websites (this will mean more postage), try and find an online store that can meet the majority of your fashion needs and combine the order into one, as then you will only have one delivery charge. If you are buying from an online auction website such as eBay, then don’t forget that if you buy a couple of different outfits from one seller, before you pay for the separate items you can email the seller and ask them if they can combine the delivery, and give you a new amended charge for the postage. Most sellers are willing to do this and you can save quite a bit of money on postage charges this way.

Sizes
Because you are buying online you will not of course be able to try the clothes on first, so make sure you know your own fitting sizes well, and look out for online stores that allow you to return items if they do not fit. If you are buying from a high street store website and see a bargain price that is only available online, you could take the time to go into the store and see if they have a similar outfit you could try on, just to check the sizing before you go ahead and buy it.

Payment Options and Website Security
You should never buy anything online unless you are sure the website has up to date encrypted SSL security software in place to protect your details, so always check this first before you go through the checkout process. Don’t forget if you are buying online you will not be able to pay by cheque or cash, so you will need a credit or debit card in order to process your payment and buy your items.

Cellulite causes unsightly ripples and dimples underneath the skin known as the ‘orange peel’ effect, and this common problem affects over 90% of women. It is very easy to get cellulite, as it only takes a very small amount of fat to cause cellulite, so you do not necessarily have to be overweight to get it, and it can be very difficult to get rid of it again. However there are a few steps you can take to lessen the appearance of cellulite and help prevent it from occurring in the future.

Keep Well Hydrated
Fluid retention can be a key trigger in the build up of cellulite, and this can be caused by poor bodily hydration so make sure you drink at least six to eight glasses of water every day, and this can be made up of a mixture of straight water, herbal teas, fruit juice and squash. Try to avoid drinking too much caffeine as this can actually cause dehydration.

Reduce Smoking and Drinking
Research has revealed that smoking can negatively affect the elasticity of the skin, which can increase the chances of developing cellulite and also make it much more difficult to get rid of it as well. Smoking is also bad for the overall condition of the skin as it floods your body with toxins and free radicals and causes premature aging and wrinkles.

Improve Circulation
Your skin is actually a part of your body’s waste disposal system, and when your liver and digestive tract are stressed your body can use the skin to help eliminate unwanted toxins. Therefore it is important that you take time to brush your skin with a soft body brush, as not only will this help to remove dead skin and give your skin a healthy glow, but it will also help improve overall circulation and boost lymphatic flow, which can help prevent fat deposits from building up and causing cellulite.

Moisturise
Dry, undernourished skin can make cellulite look worse than ever, so make sure you moisturise your whole body at least once a day with a light body moisturisers, and if you have any very dry areas such as on your legs or the tops or your arms then keep them protected with a special intensive moisturiser.

Exercise and Diet
One key way in which you can help to prevent cellulite from forming is to eat a healthy balanced diet that is low in heavy saturated fats, and high in fresh fruit and vegetables and fibre. This will boost your overall health and give you plenty of energy, and this combined with regular cardiovascular exercise will help to control your weight and prevent fat deposits from forming.

Many people find it difficult to discuss their personal relationship issues with other people, and so may find the thought of attending counselling sessions very daunting, but this can be a very beneficial and productive way for couples to work through difficult and complex issues.

Professional counsellors can help bring a new and objective perspective to situations that you and your partner are finding difficult to resolve, and can help you both to take a step back from the problem, see each others viewpoints and work towards resolving the problem and moving forward. Counselling can take a number of forms, from one on one sessions through to family unit sessions and many counselling services also provide group couples workshops, which deal with more generalised issues such as starting a family or making a commitment (marriage, civil partnerships, buying a house together etc). Group workshops are ideal for those couples who are want to learn more about the benefits and drawbacks of different relationship structures, and those who want to understand potential sources of conflict and how to deal with them. One to one sessions are more useful for those couples who have serious personal or conflict issues in their relationship which need to be focused on, and the counsellor will most likely want to see you both together, to understand how you interact as a couple and also so that they can aid communication between the two of you, and in some cases may also find it beneficial to set up a few individual sessions with each person as well.

The Right Time to Seek Counselling
It is important that you do not leave counselling until it is too late, and that you do not consider it as a ‘last resort’ option. Even counselling will not be able to help your relationship if you have allowed years of bitterness and resentment to build up, and the time to consider counselling is when you are experiencing situations such as:

You have tried to communicate to your partner about a serious relationship problem, but they are unable or unwilling to consider or talk about it with you and you feel as if you have ‘hit a brick wall’.

You both try to talk about problems, but you just go round in circles never achieving any solutions.

Whenever you and your partner try to talk about serious issues it always turns into a shouting match.

You are afraid to bring up a subject with your partner, because it will make things worse and so problems are left unresolved.

You should select a quiet time to broach the subject of counselling with your partner, and try to discuss this calmly and understand if they have any problems or concerns with this route. If your partner refuses to attend counselling with you, then you could try and give it a go yourself, and they may be more willing to join you at a later date. It is difficult to resolve a relationship problem if only one person is willing to attend the counselling sessions, but they can be beneficial to help the individual work out their own feelings, which can have a positive effect on the relationship as a whole.

The first thing to remember about G-Spots is that they are just one of the many erogenous zones on the female body, and the second is that not everyone has one, or finds it sensitive enough to cause any significant sexual benefits. There are a lot of myths surrounding the G-spot, and practitioners of tantric sex have claimed for years that this ’sacred’ spot is highly erotic and can provide hours or pleasure, but in reality no one really knows what the G-spot is, or why some women have them and others do not.

Where is the G-Spot?
If you have a G-Spot it should be around 2-5cm inside the vagina on the front wall, and you should be able to feel it with your finger. When you are not aroused it will be quite small, no bigger than a pea, but once you are aroused it increases in size and can be as large as a 2 pence piece. The G-Spot is a slightly more textured area than the rest of the vagina wall, which is smooth and will feel slightly knobbly, some women explain it as feeling a bit like the surface of a walnut shell.

G-Spot Theories
The gynaecologist Ernst Gräfenberg first described the G-Spot in scientific terms in 1944, and this was named after him as the Gräfenberg Spot, shortened to G-Spot, but doctors still don’t really know what is really is. One theory is that it is an area of tissue related to the prostate gland in male bodies, because it has a similar sort of sensitivity to this gland, but that it did not develop in the womb because of the lack of the male Y chromosome. Other experts believe that there is no such thing as a G-spot, but rather that the whole of the front wall of the vagina is an erogenous zone, as it is closely link to other pleasure zones of the clitoris and the urethra. One more theory tells us that the G-Spot is actually a powerful natural pain killing aid for childbirth, as test have discovered that stimulation of this area can increase the pain threshold by up to as much as 84%, even over 100% upon the point of orgasm.

Benefits of the G-Spot
If you do have a sensitive G-Spot then it really is very simple to take advantage of this additional erogenous zone to create intense pleasure. You will need to practice touching the G-spot first yourself, to understand how it gives you pleasure, so gently insert you finger into your vagina and just practise stroking or tapping the G-Spot to see how it feels. This can be a bit strange at first, and some women report that when the G-Spot is not fully aroused touching it can make you feel like you need a wee, but this is simply because the spot is close to the urethra. During sex intercourse penetration can be utilised to apply pressure to the G-spot and create intense sensations, and you may have to try a few different positions to get this right, and many women find that penetration from behind when on all fours or bending over can have the best effects on the G-spot.

It doesn’t matter how much you spend on expensive skin care lotions and make up, if you don’t have a healthy, balanced diet then your skin will never look its best. Diets that are too rich in saturated fats and sugar can cause tired, lifeless looking skin prone to spots and blemishes, so if you do care about how your skin looks, then swapping your afternoon tea and biscuits with some fresh fruit and unsweetened low fat yogurt can be just what you need to restore a healthy, glowing complexion.

There are many vitamins and minerals vital to healthy skin, and most of these can be found from eating a balanced diet that includes a good range of fresh fruits and vegetables, proteins, essential fatty acids and fibre. Overloading the body with rich, heavy foods can make the skin to look blotchy and can also cause other health problems, so make sure you keep processed meats, ready made meals and fried snacks and sweets to a minimum.

Vitamin A
This is one of the essential vitamins for healthy skin, as it supports skin strength and cell repair and can also help to prevent wrinkles and acne. Vitamin A can be found in foods like eggs, whole milk, liver, spinach and carrots, and is also present in many whole grain breakfast cereals which are also good sources of fibre. It is not advised that you take vitamin A supplements as it can build up in your body, and can actually be harmful in larger amounts, but you can use topical creams safely if you have conditions such as acne.

Vitamin E
This well known antioxidant that can help boost protection against free radicals that can cause ageing, and can be found in many nuts and seeds such as almonds, sunflower seeds and hazelnuts, as well as spinach, broccoli and mangos.

Vitamin B
This vitamin is essential for healthy skin tone and can also help to prevent skin conditions such as eczema that are brought on by stress. There are a number of different types of vitamin B, and each have a beneficial effect on the skin. Vitamin B1 for example helps the skin to flush out toxins more efficiently and can improve circulation. You can find vitamin B in whole grains such as whole wheat, wheat germ, bran and oatmeal and also dairy products, fish, offal and eggs.

Vitamin C
Vitamin C helps the skin to rejuvenate and heal wounds, and is also beneficial to the immune system and is one of the essential vitamins for overall health. You can find vitamin C in a whole range of fruits and vegetables including oranges, lemons, grapefruits, lettuce, spinach, green peppers and tomatoes, and it is also present in high concentration in fresh chilies.

Communication is the foundation to any successful relationship, whether it is between husband and wife or parent and child, but communication is a skill, which in some cases will need to be improved on and practiced in order to make it successful and so you should never just assume that you are communicating effectively.

Communicating well can also help you to spot common patterns in your relationship, which can help you to understand why things sometimes go wrong. Money worries, work pressures and childcare issues can all bring a lot of pressure to bear on a relationship, and by talking to each other you can understand how external and emotional pressures can affect your feelings and attitudes towards each other, so that you can work towards building a stronger relationship for the future. Don’t forget that men and women can have different ways of communicating, and that some people find it easier to talk about how they are feeling than others, so don’t pressure your partner into having a heart to heart if they are uncomfortable, and give them time and space to come to you when they feel ready to talk about their problems.

Every Day Communication
Communication does not just have to be about important issues either, but is a vital tool in getting to know someone and feeling valued and understood in a relationship. You should be both talking and listening to your partner, so if it is quite natural for you to tell them about your busy day, you must not forget to ask them how their day went as well, and listen to any problems or successes they may have had. Don’t just talk about mundane issues either, but remember to share your ambitions and dreams, even if they seem a little impractical and far away at the time. A close relationship should be filled with sharing, both in terms of day to day matters also hopes for the future, and by talking to each other you can understand what you both expect from life and how your relationship could be affected by this.

Effective Communication
It is difficult to talk and listen to someone with lots of distractions, so set aside some quiet time with your partner. You could go for a walk together in the evening, just the two of you, which will give you chance to be alone and concentrate on each others company, or you could simply settle down on the sofa when the kids have gone to bed and share some thoughts over a glass of wine. It is important to sit close and look at each other when you are talking, as then you can ensure you are both paying attention to what is being said, and turn the TV and radio off so that there are no distractions.

Infidelity in any relationship is a difficult issue, as this is one of the main problems facing couples which is serious enough to cause a break up. It is important when you start a new relationship that you make sure the other person understands how you feel about this issue, as you may have been hurt in the past by infidelity and know it is not something you are willing to forgive or move on from again.

Coping With Infidelity
People can cheat on their partners for a number of reasons, and the circumstances can differ from a one night stand through to a whole relationship being carried out on the side, so it is important that if you discover that your partner has been unfaithful that you take some time to stop and think, and don’t make any hasty decisions whilst you are still in the grip of hurt and shock. Think very carefully about how your relationship has been working, and whether there have been any other cracks appearing recently that may have led your partner to seek intimacy with another person. Consider whether there have been any particular stresses or pressures on your relationship, and if you have in fact been gradually drifting apart. Basically you need to reassess your whole relationship and work out whether infidelity is the only problem, and whether or not the foundations of your relationship are strong enough to work through all of the problems your future together may be facing.

If you have found out that your partner has been cheating on you, then you need to let them know how you feel as soon as soon as you have calmed down a bit. Choose a quiet, private environment for this confrontation and try and keep your cool, as if you get angry and start shouting straight away you will not give your partner a chance to explain themselves. Keep this confrontation short, and don’t slug it out until you are both mentally and emotional exhausted, and spend some time on your own afterwards so that you can have a really careful think about what has been said for at least a few hours. It is only natural that you will be angry and hurt, but don’t keep bringing the subject up every time you speak to your partner and constantly blaming and picking at them, as this will not be helpful and will make them defensive and angry too – they may well feel that their infidelity had something to do with the way the relationship had been working, and are looking for you to understand them at least, even if you cannot forgive them.

Move Forward
If you do find you are able to work through infidelity and give your relationship another shot then it is important that you move on from your place of anger and hurt. You may need to see a counsellor to help you to do this, especially if you find yourself becoming fixated on the infidelity and thinking about it constantly. If you decide you cannot forgive the infidelity, or realise that your relationship is not strong enough to work through it, then it is also important that you both make a decision to move on, so that you can start building yourselves new lives separately, away from the pain and hurt of these experiences.

Tanned skin has been popular for many years now, but it has only been recently that people have begun to understand the risks associated with some forms of tanning, such as increased chance of getting certain forms of skin cancer and premature aging.

There are now many simple ways in which you can get a gorgeous tan which do not have the same risks as more traditional methods such as sun beds and lying in the sun for hours, and many of these are affordable and widely available.

Bronzers
These sunless products come in the form of powders, creams or tanning lotions and if applied correctly create a smooth, even tanof almost any tint you want. When using bronzers at home you should make sure you exfoliate your skin and apply a light moisturiser all over a couple of hours before you use the bronzer. This will help to prevent any dry or rough skin patches that could affect how smoothly the bronzer is applied and will also prepare the skin to receive the bronzer more effectively. You should avoid applying the bronzer directly after a shower or bath, and you should wear plastic gloves to avoid your hands from getting stained by the tint.

Spray Tans
Spray tanning booths are a popular way to get a tan as they will apply a bronzing product smoothly and evenly all over your body, and you will be less likely to get any streaking or patching. Spray tans are applied with an air gun or brush and are widely available from most beauty salons theses days, and there are a number of different qualities of products used, so you should make sure you choose the best one you can afford. Cheaper spray tans may be more difficult to match to individual skin tones, and you could end up with a very orange, fake looking tan, or they may go on slightly less evenly. As with other bronzing products you should make sure you exfoliate and moisturise your skin before you go and get your spray tan applied, and wear loose fitting clothes so that when you leave the salon the tan is not rubbed off by tight clothing whilst it is still settling in.

Tanning accelerators
These accelerators are not suitable for everyone, but are thought to provide an effective tan to certain skin types. Tan accelerators come in lotion or pills forms and contain and ingredient called tyrosine, which works by increasing melanin, the skins darker pigment, and accelerates the tanning process. Some tanning pills also contain cathanxanthin, which also works by changing the colour of the skin. Tanning accelerating lotions and pills have not yet been scientifically proven to work, and the effects of increasing melanin and cathanxanthin in the body are not really known, but a lot of experts already believe that this form of tanning has some potentially dangerous side effects, especially for those people who have certain medical conditions and are taking other medicines, so it is important that you check with your medical advisor before using a tanning accelerator product.
