Somehow this black and white kitty ended up in a lake and was in danger of drowning. Despite this, no one came forward to save the desperate cat. We can only imagine how this frantic cat must have felt as it became tired of paddling and weary with fear.

However, this lucky cat had an unlikely savior that day. Apparently this dog had enough of watching the cat suffer and jumped into the cold lake to rescue the cat!

The dog swam out to the cat and the tired kitty immediately climbed onto the dogs back. Hanging on with his claws, the kitty rode on the pup’s back, like riding on a dolphin, back to shore.

Only this was no dolphin, it was one sweet doggo. Once the two reached the water’s edge, the thankful cat splashily disembarks the pups back and makes a dash for the grass growing along the shore.

We’re sure the kitty was thankful to be saved even though we can’t hear any meows in the video. Because of the quick thinking pup, the entire rescue takes less than 15 seconds, which probably felt like 15 seconds too long to this cat.

The neighbor saw that the puppies were outside in the snow so they called an animal rescue. A team rushed out to check on the puppies, and what they found broke their hearts.

A bunch of puppies were outside in the cold with their mother. Their owner didn’t even know how many puppies there were and none of the animals looked like they were being cared for. So, the rescue team began to negotiate with the owner so they could take the dogs.

The dogs were behind a low fence that their mother could jump over, but they were too small. It was clear they were cold and hungry but the rescue team didn’t bring enough food for them all.

The owner agreed to let them go. So, the puppies and their grateful momma dog was loaded into the rescue vehicle. They went to their foster home where it was soon discovered their mother had no more milk to feed the puppies with.

The rescuers didn’t know when the puppies last ate last but they were now clean, fed, and their mother was also given special food. They looked like different dogs once they were warm and dry. They were so cute, thankfully they were helped in time to save them all.

As momma and the puppies gained weight, they transformed into beautiful dogs. They were all simply adorable and playful. They were so happy they no longer lived in hunger and fear of the unknown.

How someone could treat them so cruel was unimaginable. But thankfully, kind hearted people were lining up to adopt them. Only the tiniest puppy remained with the shelter staff, who loved and adored her.

Which was fine with the puppy because she loved her rescuers so much. She had doggy friends there and is healthy and cared for. Even their mother found a loving forever home and no longer resembled the filthy dog that she had been.

Their mother must have been terrified knowing that she couldn’t feed her puppies and that her owner didn’t care. A big shout out to the neighbor for caring enough to make the phone call that saved all the dog’s lives.

It all started one day when Susie hopped into the baggage compartment of the kayak without an invitation. It was obvious she wanted to go with David and be near him. He knew he would also enjoy her company so he decided to take her out on her first kayak adventure.

The outing went great and Susie went on to accompany David on many trips out on the water. Soon after, David and his wife decided to adopt another golden retriever named, Ginger.

There was no way that Ginger was going to be left out of the fun so David got busy working on plans to take her with him and Susie. He came up with the idea to cut a second hole into his kayak.

"When we got Ginger, I just put in another hole. It's like a triple kayak, only there isn't enough room for the paddlers to put their feet — but it's perfect for a dog,” he said.

David, Susie and Ginger enjoyed many adventures out on the water together. David said, “They are trained to get in the kayak themselves on command. They sit down, and off we go. When we come ashore, they'll stay seated until I tell them it's OK to get out. They never hopped out into the water, actually.”

Sadly, Susie and Ginger have since passed away but David continues the heartwarming tradition of adopting dogs and training them to ride in the kayak.

It’s obvious this kindhearted man has enriched the lives of many dogs and provided them with lots of love and fun adventures.

However, she had no idea that he’d engage in the most adorable antics ever before seen on a plane.

“He was sat in the seat next to me but got in a mood which he often does when I don’t pay him enough attention,” Ursula Daphne Aitchison, Huxley’s mom, told The Dodo.

According to his mom, Huxley loves to be the center of attention.  He just refuses to be ignored.  So when his mom didn’t pay him enough attention, he went and sought it out from another passenger and sat with that man instead.

The next thing you know, Huxley was sticking his cute face between the seats and began entertaining his mom by making the funniest faces. 

Ursula shared the resulting hilarious pictures on Facebook writing, “Guys I can’t breathe” followed by a bunch of laughing emojis.

Apparently Huxley enjoyed sitting next to his new seatmate because he spent thirty minutes visiting with the man while his mom and other passengers took hilarious pictures of him.

“He spent 30 minutes in that seat; the man next to him said he was a very good passenger and the man across the aisle was taking selfies with him,” Aitchison said.

“Huxley kept giving him his paw to hold. He was making lots of people laugh and the man next to me asked to take his photo to send to his daughter.”

We think this attention seeking pup is simply adorable and the pictures couldn’t be any cuter.  How lucky those passengers to have Huxley brighten their day.

This small pupper was wandering the streets of Los Angeles when he saw two police officers walking down the sidewalk.

Apparently, the pup knew he needed immediate assistance because he ran on his four tiny legs up to the officer’s feet.

Officer Taverna and Officer Mercado looked down at the pup and immediately took pity on him. Knowing there was no way such a young dog would survive for long on his own, they scooped him up and took him back to the station.

Well, that ride in the car set the course for the pup’s little life because as they rode along, he started bonding with Officer Mercado by snuggling into his legs, surely knowing he was finally safe.

Once at the station, the officers named the puppy Hobart, after the street they found him on. They also made him an honorary K-9. All the officers loved Hobart but it was Officer Mercado that Hobart had eyes for.

Granting him his wish, Officer Mercado adopted Hobart and gave him his forever home. The two are now very happy together and their story that was shared by the LAPD on Twitter as gotten a lot of happy attention.

The employees of Barreirinha bus terminal in Curitiba, Brazil took matters into their own hands as winter arrived and temperatures began to fall. 

Not wanting the abandoned dogs living in the bus station to freeze, they made them dog beds and opened the terminal doors so they could be protected from the weather.

They knew of at least three dogs living in the bus station and had named them, Pitoco, Zoinho, and Max.  They took pity on the dogs. 

The employees gathered old tires and blankets then made the dog’s beds so they would be warm and cozy during the winter.

A politician named Fabiane Rosa took notice of the bus station employee’s kindness and took pictures of the dogs nesting in the safety of their new beds. She shared the images on Facebook, where they quickly went viral.  She wrote:

“Employees of Barreirinha bus terminal in Curitiba, Brazil, prove that good samaritans still exist.  They went beyond their usual job routines to welcome stray dogs in the premises and they customized beds out of tires and lined them with blankets to keep the dogs warm and cozy during the cold winter nights.”

“So many companies in Curitiba could follow this example, adopting a pet.  Of course it is not the ideal, but at least here are those who are looking after them,” Rosa stated on Facebook.

The images of the dog’s grateful expressions touched many people and we hope that it inspires people all over the world to reach out and help homeless dogs.

• Get an old tire and wash with soap and water with bristle brush. You can probably get a tire shop to donate an old one to your cause.
• Let dry.
• Put an old pillow in the bottom of the tire and top with a blanket or a towel.
• If you want to get fancy, you can spray paint the tire and put felt on the bottom to protect flooring.

Guy’s story began in a kill shelter in Kentucky, where he was given only a few days to live. In 2015, Meghan adopted the frail and small beagle through a Canadian rescue organization. “They referred to him as ‘the little guy’ because he was so small and frail, so I named him ‘Guy.’ And he was the best guy any girl could have asked for,” Meghan wrote.

Guy’s life took a tragic turn shortly before Meghan’s move to the UK. He suffered a severe accident that left him unable to walk. Despite the grim prognosis from doctors, Meghan and Prince Harry refused to give up on him. “Doctors said he would never walk again, but Dr. Noel Fitzpatrick said he could do it,” Meghan revealed.

The couple would drive late at night to visit Guy as he underwent months of surgeries and rehabilitation in Surrey. Thanks to the dedication of Dr. Fitzpatrick and his team, Guy defied the odds and walked again. Meghan expressed her gratitude to the veterinary teams who cared for him, saying, “I will always be grateful to Noel and his team, the team at Queen West Animal Hospital in Toronto, our vets now, and my friends and community: Thank you for loving him so.”

A Devastating Loss

Meghan’s post also conveyed the depth of her grief over Guy’s passing. “I have cried too many tears to count—the type of tears that make you get in the shower with the absurd hope that the running water on your face will somehow make you not feel them, or pretend they’re not there. But they are. And that’s okay too,” she wrote.

The Duchess hopes that those who see Guy in her upcoming series will understand the profound bond they shared. “Because many of you will now see Guy in this new series, I hope you’ll come to understand why I am so devastated by his loss. I think you may fall a little bit in love too.”

A Legacy of Love

Meghan ended her tribute with a heartfelt message to Guy: “Thank you for so many years of unconditional love, my sweet Guy. You filled my life in ways you’ll never know.”

Dogs are not just pets; they are family. Guy’s story reminds us of the joy and love that rescue animals bring into our lives, and the responsibility we have to give them the care and devotion they deserve.

Shiloh, the 7-year-old Australian shepherd mix, is certainly one of those dogs.

It was just a normal night and the Holloways were sitting on their porch watching their eighteen-month-old son playing in the yard and enjoying himself.

Suddenly, their dog Shiloh leaped up and ran toward the toddler getting between him and a flower bed.

Stunned for an instant, Mr. Holloway said his first thought was that Shiloh was going after his son. The thought that crossed his mind was, “oh my gosh, he’s going after the baby,” because of the way the dog charged toward him.

Mr. Holloway didn’t know it at the time but far from “going after the baby,” Shiloh was protecting the baby from a small copperhead snake hiding in the grass. Then, he saw the dog grab something and jump up in the air, and yelp.

It was then he walked over and realized that a snake had crept through the grass and was at the feet of his son. Certainly, had Shiloh not seen and reacted to the danger, the little boy could have been bit, and being so small, may not have survived.

Shiloh was injured by the snake and had so much throat swelling that his collar had to be removed. His family did take him to the vet where he was treated and later released doing well according to Knox News.

Mrs. Holloway believes that God sent Shiloh to protect her son that day and said:

"After everything had calmed down, the kids came out to check on the dog, and the baby just started running back and forth on the porch and laughing and talking ... and just smiling, and it just hit me like a ton of bricks because the Lord said 'I saved that child.”

This pit bull puppy was sold when he was only 4 weeks old. He had a congenital deformity that prevented him from walking so his owner gave him to Pibbles Plantation Rescue with the instructions that if they could make him “meaner,” he’d one day take him back.

When the puppy arrived at the rescue, he acted as if he’d never been touched with loving hands. He was scared and in pain and would scream when they tried to bandage him. The puppy had swimmer syndrome.

They already had two swimmer syndrome puppies at the rescue, so they agreed to take Gabe. When they did, they realized that all three of the puppies were from the same litter, but Gabe was terrified of people.

It took two weeks before Gabe started to trust his rescuers. They worked with the puppies to help them walk and soon all three puppies were able to stand on their own and eventually walk on their own.

It was a lot of work but worth it. But then, Gabe had a setback and could no longer walk His x-rays showed he had an elbow subluxation and suggested that they amputate his leg since he would be a big, heavy dog when he grew up.

It broke the heart of the rescue, but they dropped him off for his surgery. To their surprise, he was up and walking the next day and seemed to be in less pain after his surgery than before.

Gabe was a special puppy and would need to go to a special home. They found a home for one of his sisters, but the rescue decided to keep one sister forever since she would always have special needs.

Terri and Ann adopted Gabe and gave him a loving forever home to the delight of Pibbles Plantation. They understood Gabe’s special needs and provided him with a pool and physical therapy.

They loved Gabe so much, they said they hit the jackpot when they got to adopt him. From an unloved puppy to adored, we think Gabe hit the jackpot when he found his forever home and the rescue to save him.

Colonel had an important role in his owner’s wedding. He was an honorary groomsman and ring bearer. He attended the wedding rehearsals and even had special training, but at the end of the day, his excitement got the best of him.

The plan was for him to slowly walk down the center of the aisle with the wedding rings attached to his collar. Because it was a wedding, surely, he’d pick up on the formal vibes and deliver just as he practiced.

But when his big moment finally came, the adorable Labrador retriever couldn’t wait to see his humans get married. So, despite all his training, his exuberance took over and he showed the entire wedding party and all the guests just how happy he was.

His trainer said that Colonel was supposed to gracefully walk down the aisle and deliver the rings to the groom. But instead, all his training flew right out the window and Colonel happily loped down the aisle while everyone looking on laughed.

The only thing flying faster than Colonel was his wagging tail. Once he reached the front, he gleefully jumped around, clearly overexcited, and even knocked down the microphone stand while the bride and groom laughed.

Despite failing his mission, his mom says she wouldn’t have it any other way. She said that Colonel was acting totally like himself. And even though she thought he’d calmly walk down the aisle, he was perfect.

Colonel surely helped make the wedding memorable for all who attended as well as the bride and groom. He gave everyone a smile and some funny pictures to share with the world. Colonel was more than adorable.
