How did raw fooders get mired in minutiae?

Dr. Douglas N. Graham

Interested in nutrition? Sure, that’s a huge part of why we made dietary changes. Concerned about nutrition? Yes, that’s why we are committed to improving our regimen. Would the words, “worried about nutrition” (in a healthy way, of course) describe us? Definitely, we are worried about nutrition, or so I am told, and that is where we become vulnerable.

In reality, it is our neighbors, eating their devitalized, nutrient-free foods that need to be concerned, and yes, even worried, about their nutrition and health. Their unsustainable processed, refined cooked-food diet is greatly responsible, both directly and indirectly, for not only their damaged health but for the destruction of the entire ecosystem.

Raw fooders, on the other hand, should, theoretically be able to relax in the land of simple, healthful eating. But alas, simplicity doesn’t sell. For the most part, those most publicly spreading the raw message have led us into a nutritional maze where ever-increasing doses of ever-smaller micronutrients are necessary to shore up our diets. Isn’t it time to step back from the minutiae and take in the big picture once again?

Into the Raw Rabbit Hole

Most of us have gone through worlds of dietary transitions. From junk food and java to vegetarian (with maybe a sojourn into the macrobiotic world), vegan, and a wide variety of raw diets’we have tried them all. In its time, the current diet was “it”—the be-all, end-all “best” diet. Each time, we learned a little something. Each time, we grew a little wiser. Each time, we accommodated to the new program, calling it a transition, and each time, we found that there was more—a better way.

We learned that vegetarianism wasn’t as animal friendly as we had originally thought, not really much more so than the Suicide American Diet. We learned that the common vegan diet was as nutritionally devitalized as practically any other cooked-food approach. We learned more and more about nutrition, focusing on ever-smaller aspects of the dietary picture. As we did so, the gap between food and nutrition grew wider. We started eating bananas for their potassium, vegetables for their chlorophyll, and spices for their minerals. We started consuming oils for their component parts. Food was no longer food, but a list of nutrients.

No longer was the caloronutrient (protein-fat-carb) ratio enough to evaluate our diet. No longer did the macronutrient index provide an accurate picture of our nutrition. Not even micronutrients were all that important anymore. We left this all behind for a more intriguing world, a world we do not even understand: the world of micromolecular nutrition. In this world, chemistry supposedly happens that we do not comprehend. Nutritional miracles occur that are beyond science’s ability to explain. Biologic transmutation—the alchemy of biochemistry—is given credit for magical and mystical nutritional goings-on.

Logic has apparently lost all meaning in the raw food world. Basic minerals, we are told, are formed out of thin air. If the body doesn’t have what it needs, it will create it, we are informed. This, by the very people who would sell us supplements of every description. Why take supplements if the body will simply create what it needs? Why, in fact, follow any dietary program at all?

Med School Minutiae

In medical school, the progression of study is extremely organized, and it gets very deep. From basic sciences, students progress into an increasingly microscopic world. They start with gross anatomy of the body (structures that can be seen with the naked eye): its systems, organs, tissues and finally, its cells. They then learn about organelles (the tiny structures that keep the cells functioning) and the organic chemistry that keeps the organelles functioning before finally journeying off into biochemistry. At this level, the student’s perspective is on the atomic and eventually the subatomic level.

In school, we studied subatomic particles wondering how this would actually relate to treating a real, live patient. The expression in school went “We’re learning more and more about less and less until we’ll finally know everything about nothing.” Although our actual course of study was pyramidal, it felt more like the inverse.

The sad but funny truth of the matter is that this expression “knowing everything about nothing,” almost exactly describes what happens to most med students during their five or more years of medical brainwashing. They begin med school with the finest of intentions, planning to help people when they graduate. But after years of studying things much too small to see without a microscope (and even smaller), with names much too long to pronounce without resorting to Latin, they find they have lost their ability to communicate with normal human beings on any useful level. Many students lose sight of their original reasons for going to med school, having become excellent chemists but poor doctors. Their language, medicalese, is not only indecipherable, but it includes continual references to substances and techniques unknown to the common man.

Still, it gives doctors power. Some wield their power well, others abuse it. They earn money by dispensing controlled substances. Over time, the Hippocratic Oath, “First, do no harm.” has been replaced by the Hypocrite’s Oath “Above all, make a buck.” and the medical mantra, “The benefits outweigh the risks.” People either love their doctors or hate them for who they have become.

Raw Fooders Follow Suit

In today’s raw food movement, we are seeing a similar phenomenon. Untrained laypeople, dedicated to helping others by sharing their miraculous health recovery stories, take to the stages. They are so enthusiastic, they write books. The number of questions they are asked encourages them to start parroting scientific-sounding information to back their stories.

In an effort to make a living, they begin creating terminology to set them apart (high raw, green diet, superfood, and detox, for example) and selling a line of product. Vitamins begot supplements, which begot superfoods, which begot whatever new moniker could be devised for the next hot product.

Cleanses, flushes, enzymes, refined oils, angstrom minerals, sea “vegetables,” algae, and rare exotic herbs, fruits and vegetables—everything salable is being sold. Elixirs, potions, pills, powders, frozen and dehydrated substances, and a wide array of bottled caplets abound in the movement now. This, from a group supposedly educated about the benefits of eating fresh raw foods, demonstrates the degree to which the salesmen have taken over. Misinformation has become the rule rather than the exception.

Raw Food Show and Tell

Just as medical science and practice keeps progressing, leaving older methods in the dust of antiquity, in its small way so does the raw food movement. Very few leaders/speakers/teachers in the raw movement have actually been following a raw diet for more than a decade. None, to my knowledge, still follow the program they were on a decade ago. Most do not follow the program they were on even one year ago. Their lectures are no longer teaching, not science, but simply show and tell. It has become nothing more than a sharing of experience, the semisighted leading the semisighted. It seems that congruity in teaching has become all but unnecessary.

It is common for self-proclaimed leaders to proudly state, “You don’t need to understand me,” while they implore their disciples to “try everything and find out what works for yourself.”

“What kind of leadership is this,” I wonder. Could it be that the power of the podium has gone to their heads? Where is the guidance in telling folks to experiment with everything and find out for themselves what works best? How does it help the initiate to encourage him or her to make all of the same mistakes we made? Sure, it works well for the salesmen, who get to sell at least one of everything on their shelves, but does it work for the initiate? Apparently not, because although more people are entering the raw arena than ever before, at the same time more are leaving than ever before.

Almost everyone in the raw movement has made some effort to get other people to join them. It is so easy to tell others to eat more fruits and vegetables, to see the raw light. Why do we find it so difficult, personally, to achieve and maintain an all-raw state? Could it be that perhaps we are not actually applying the diet in a healthful manner, and hence we find it very challenging to sustain?

Where Did We Take the Detour?

Have we lost sight of the reason we went raw? Cooked didn’t work, and raw was the healthier, more nutritious choice. If our “healthy” raw diet was working for us, would we have been tempted to allow it to deteriorate until it included almost every supplement under the sun?

Was our perspective altered by some deep letdown? Did we not lose excess weight, gain newfound energy, and experience positive health results in just about every conceivable aspect of our lifestyles, just as we had hoped? Sure, everyone wants “more,” and the way to achieve it is to refine and redefine the parameters of healthy diet and lifestyle, not to revert to the lifestyle that never worked in the first place. Is our memory so poor that we have forgotten how many times cooked foods and supplements have failed us in the past? If you are not sure of the answer, it was, “every time.”

We pride ourselves on seeing and doing things differently as raw fooders. We call ourselves vegan, and we are proud to be health enthusiasts. We talk about eliminating the contradictions between what we say and how we live our lives. We say we are raw fooders and that cooked food might as well be a drug. Yet we continue to consume pharmaceutical-quality drugs (enzymes, MSM, and many other refined mineral supplements). We embrace many nonvegan products (seaweeds and algae are classed as animals, and no bee products get the vegan seal of approval). We even turn a blind eye to the many nonraw products we consume (Bragg aminos, Nama Shoyu, miso, vinegar, maple syrup, agave, cacao, most “raw” cashews, many dehydrated herbs and spices etc.)All the while, we eat a larger percentage of our total calories as fat than those on any other diet, including even Atkin’s abomination. Then we wonder why (are disappointed when?) our health does not meet our expectations.

The minutiae somehow seem more important to us than the big picture. We wonder about getting enough B-12 but not about getting enough sleep. We make sure we have friendly bacteria in our diet, but we don’t pay enough attention to our friends. We worry about world war when our food combinations result in an ongoing internal war. There can be no peace of mind when the body is at war.

Is it the glamour and excitement of potions that gives them such an appeal? Could it really be the packaging? Is it that we get to “play doctor” with ourselves? Would we still use them if we simply called them “drugs,” a reform that the medical profession is calling for? Is all the fuss about supplements simply another aspect of the “everything about nothing” mindset?

Getting Back on Track

Health is a linear, cumulative experience. If you pay the price of health—correct living—health is the reward. If you do not, you’ll experience symptoms. It is up to you whether you wish to supplement your diet or correct it, but only the latter produces true health.

Making the raw diet work for you as nature intended is so simple that it just won’t sell—at least not anything other than cases of produce. It’s so simple, in fact, that people just don’t believe those of us for whom Natural Hygiene has worked like a charm for decades. Although lectures and workshops and books can be devoted to the subject, I’ll lay it out here in nine short words:

“Fruits and vegetables are food. The rest are condiments.”

When we live according to this mantra, all the complication falls away—and no pill, powder, or supplement of any kind is necessary.

How do I inspire people to be healthy?

Some of you already have in mind the question:

“Why on earth should I do that?” – This question arises not necessarily because of selfishness, but rather because of knowing how hard it is to change a human habit.

A habit which have been long rooted in our mind, for 10, 20 … 80 years.

And you know what? When we try to change a habit we are fighting with ourselves!!!

Therefore the motivation and the arguments would better be stronger than our belief.

Ok. Firstly, I think that the best way to make someone aware about the food they are eating is to be an actual example.

Fiends are coming to me and ask different questions. From “Are you worried about dead animals?” up to “Isn’t it disgusting to eat a raw carrot?”

Sometimes we laugh a lot while I reply to them, other times there is pure anger, and other times people are tired of being where they are and desperately looking for a change.

This is the trick! – Be an example, not smart (with complex theories about sulfates from vegetables that make you younger) not loud (over shouting the people who eat fast food) but, as Dr. Graham told me, SHINE – be an example.

And the more I interact with people the more I see how their perception changes.

I have a friend, who is a mother of a 12 year old, and she used to tell me:

“You are so skinny, you should eat some stake, at least boiled, but you should put some fat on you. “

In these cases I never argue, I just smile, and I always say “Thank you, But I feel great, and that matters to me”.

Without shouting, without showing myself as being smarter. After saying those words, I leave the scene, thinking that I am right and the other person thinking that s/he is right. No bad feelings. And next time we meet we laugh and joke, and if s/he mentions again the idea about gaining fat, I repeat the same answer.

BUT, in about 5 months, my friend started asking me how come I run throughout all the building all the day and feel so fresh without drinking coffee / eating meat – the things which are supposed to make you more energetic – and in the end they are the ones tired, sleepy and exhausted.

In these cases I always say to people “Because I eat the right food”. That’s it!!! No more information, not that I’m raw, or vegan or fruitarian … jut the right food.

With experience I noticed, that when you tell to people that you’re raw, or vegan or fruitarian or eating living foods … people take you as a joke. Not necessarily because it is a joke, but due to the strong internal food habits and shaggy knowledge background about food. It does not matter how many, and the strength of the arguments you will bring, in most of the cases there will be an internal resistance of the comfort zone they’ve been into about food for the last 10, 20 … years.

If you want to inspire a person, you have to tell them step by step the information that they are ready to hear. What their mind will be ready to perceive, and why not try!!!

Nothing revolutionary – totally against their belief – just a small modification of the belief that is well rooted in their mind.

And believe me, when the advice will work, they will change their belief themselves.

The easies and most effective way to inspire a person, is when they inspire themselves from inside.

So what do I do?

I tell them about food combining. And it is ALWAYS perceived very well.

That’s the secret!!!

I explain them that when we mix foods we feel so exhausted and swollen and ….

I give them a chart of food combining and an important advice, to never mix Fruits with any food and the fact that it’s the best and quickest way to get energy.

Therefore: “You should try eating in the morning till noon energetic fruits, then lunch and dinner using the food combining rules”. – It works like miracle!!!

Friends come back happy to me, that they’ve lost weight, they are running all around with energy like ME, that they feel great, AND (here comes the drums) they always ask – “What else am I supposed to know” – now they are prepared and here come the next parts.

I feel great – but what makes me feel greater – is when people come to me saying how great they feel.

Write your stories bellow and what do you do to make people happy?

(NaturalNews) Vegetables are storehouses of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and phytonutrients that help the body ward off and prevent disease. A recent study out of the University of East Anglia (UEA) has revealed that one such vegetable compound, known as sulforaphane, actually inhibits the function of the destructive enzymes that cause arthritis.

Several recent studies have linked cruciferous vegetables like broccoli and cauliflower with cancer prevention, but it appears these vegetables provide other useful benefits as well (PS:you must be kidding). Eating them, say scientists, causes blood levels of sulforaphane to increase, which may enter joint tissue and prevent its destruction.

Osteoarthritis is an arthritic condition where joint cartilage slowly degrades over time causing severe pain. If left to run its course, the condition is debilitating. But in the presence of sulforaphane, the condition can be prevented and even reversed.

“Laboratory studies show that sulforaphane may…block an enzyme that triggers inflammation and joint pain,” explains Elaine Magee in her book Food Synergy: Unleash Hundreds of Powerful Healing Food Combinations to Fight Disease and Live Well. “Broccoli is rich in sulforaphane (a member of the isothiocyanate family of phytochemicals), which stimulates enzymes in the body that detoxify carcinogens before they have a chance to damage cells.”

The preliminary trial is part of a long-term investigation into the methods by which sulforaphane benefits the body. Researchers hope to determine how easily the compound gets into joints and how much of the compound is needed to have a significant therapeutic effect.

Many retailers already carry sulforaphane supplements because the compound has multiple known therapeutic effects. And since it is a natural food supplement, it can be safely taken as part of a healthy diet to prevent or treat disease.

One of the side effects of chemotherapy is, ironically, cancer. The cancer doctors don’t say much about it, but it’s printed right on the chemo drug warning labels (in small print, of course). If you go into a cancer treatment clinic with one type of cancer, and you allow yourself to be injected with chemotherapy chemicals, you will often develop a second type of cancer as a result. Your oncologist will often claim to have successfully treated your first cancer even while you develop a second or third cancer directly caused by the chemo used to treat the original cancer.

There’s nothing like cancer-causing chemotherapy to boost repeat business, huh?

During all this, the pharmacists are peddling these toxic chemotherapy chemicals to their customers as if they were medicine (which they aren’t). While preparing these toxic chemical prescriptions, it turns out that pharmacists are exposing themselves to cancer-causing chemotherapy agents in the process. And because of that, pharmacists are giving themselves cancer… and they’re dying from it.

Why pharmacists are dying of cancer

People who live in glass houses should never throw stones, they say. And you might similarly say that pharmacists who deal in poison shouldn’t be surprised to one day discover they are killing themselves with it.

Chemotherapy drugs are extremely toxic to the human body, and they are readily absorbed through the skin. The very idea that they are even used in modern medicine is almost laughable if it weren’t so downright disturbing and sad that hundreds of thousands of people are killed each year around the world by chemotherapy drugs.

Now you can add pharmacists to that statistic. For decades, they simply looked the other way, pretending they were playing a valuable role in our system of “modern” medicine, not admitting they were actually doling out chemicals that killed people. Now, the sobering truth has struck them hard:

They are in the business of death, and it is killing them off, one by one.

The Seattle Times now reports the story of Sue Crump, a veteran pharmacist of two decades who spent much of her time dispensing chemotherapy drugs. Sue died last September of pancreatic cancer, and one of her dying wishes was that the truth would be told about how her on-the-job exposure to chemotherapy chemicals contributed to her own cancer.

Secondhand chemo

The Occupational Safety and Health Association (OSHA), it turns out, does not regulate workplace exposure to toxic, cancer-causing chemotherapy chemicals. At first glance, that seems surprising, since OSHA regulates workplace exposure to far less harmful chemicals. Why not chemo?

The answer is because the toxicity of chemotherapy has long been ignored by virtually everyone in medicine and the federal government. It has always been assumed harmless or even “safe” just because it’s used as a kind of far-fetched “medicine” to treat cancer. This, despite the fact that chemotherapy is a derivative of the mustard gas used against enemy soldiers in World War I. Truthfully, chemotherapy has more in common with chemicals weapons than any legitimate medicine.

So today, while workers are protected from secondhand smoke in offices across the country, pharmacists are still being exposed every single day to toxic, cancer-causing chemicals that OSHA seems to just ignore. The agency has only issued one citation in the last decade to a hospital for inadequate safety handling of toxic chemotherapy drugs.

As the Seattle Times reports, “A just-completed study from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) — 10 years in the making and the largest to date — confirms that chemo continues to contaminate the work spaces where it’s used and in some cases is still being found in the urine of those who handle it…”

That same article goes on to report more pharmacists, veterinarians and nurses who are dead or dying from chemotherapy exposure:

• Bruce Harrison of St. Louis (cancer in his 50’s, now dead)

• Karen Lewis of Baltimore (cancer in her 50’s, still living)

• Brett Cordes of Scottsdale, Arizona (cancer at age 35, still living)

• Sally Giles of Vancouver, B.C. (cancer in her 40’s, now dead)

The great contradiction in cancer treatments

As the Seattle Times reports:

“Danish epidemiologists used cancer-registry data from the 1940s through the late 1980s to first report a significantly increased risk of leukemia among oncology nurses and, later, physicians. Last year, another Danish study of more than 92,000 nurses found an elevated risk for breast, thyroid, nervous-system and brain cancers.”

The story goes on to report how new safety rules are being put in place across the industry to protect pharmacists, veterinarians, nurses and doctors from toxic chemotherapy chemicals. But even the Seattle Times, which deserves credit for running this story, misses the bigger point:

If these chemicals are so dangerous to the doctors, nurses and pharmacists dispensing them, how can they be considered “safe enough” to inject into patients who are already dying from cancer?

It’s a serious question. After all, if nurses can become violently ill after merely spilling chemotherapy chemicals on themselves (it’s true), then what effect do you suppose these chemicals have when injected into patients?

The cancer industry, though, has never stopped injecting patients long enough to ask the commonsense question: Why are we in the business of dispensing poison in the first place? Poison, after all, isn’t medicine. Not when dispensed in its full potency, anyway.

The whole idea of “safety” in the cancer industry is to find new ways to protect the health care workers from the extremely dangerous chemicals they’re still injecting into the bodies of patients. Something is clearly wrong with this picture… if health care workers need to be protected from this stuff, why not protect the patients from it, too?

Nobody ever died from handling herbs

In contrast to all this, consider the truthful observation that no naturopath ever died from handling medicinal herb, homeopathy remedies or nutritional supplements. These natural therapies are good for patients, and as a bonus, you don’t have to wear a chemical suit to handle them.

Furthermore, medicinal herbs, supplements and natural remedies don’t cause cancer. They support and protect the immune system rather than destroying it. So they make patients healthier and more resilient rather than weaker and fragile.

But herbs, supplements and natural remedies don’t earn much money for the cancer industry. Only the highly-toxic patented chemotherapy drugs bring in the big bucks. So that’s what they deal in — poison for the patients. And when you deal in poison, some of it always splashes back onto you.

Chemotherapy doesn’t work

Beyond this whole issue of pharmacists and health care workers dying from exposure to secondhand chemotherapy, there’s the issue of whether chemotherapy actually works in the first place. Scientifically speaking, if you take a good, hard look at what the published studies actually say, chemotherapy is only effective at treating less than two percent of the cancers that exist. And that two percent does not include breast cancer or prostate cancer.

Yet chemotherapy is routinely used to “treat” breast cancer even though it offers no benefit to breast cancer patients. In effect, the cancer industry is engaged in a criminal treatment hoax that promises to make you healthier but actually gives you even more cancer — which is great for repeat business, but terrible for the cancer patients who suffer under it.

The level of quackery at work right now in the cancer industry is simply astonishing. You would think that if doctors and pharmacists were dishing out these chemicals to patients, they would make sure there was some sort of legitimate science to back them up. But they haven’t. The science doesn’t exist. Chemotherapy doesn’t work at anything other than causing cancer — and it accomplishes that indiscriminately, damaging any person it comes into contact with. Merely touching chemotherapy chemicals is dangerous for your health.

So if you’re considering chemotherapy for yourself, think about this long and hard: If chemotherapy is so dangerous that it’s giving the pharmacists cancer just from touching it, why on earth would you want to inject it into your body?

This is not an idle question. It is perhaps the most important question of all for someone considering conventional cancer treatment using chemotherapy. The question is essentially this: If chemotherapy causes cancer, how can it treat cancer?

Treating cancer with chemotherapy is like treating alcoholism with vodka. It’s like treating heart disease with cheese, or like treating diabetes with high-fructose corn syrup. Cancer cannot be cured by the very thing that causes it.

And to those who deal in poison, watch out for the cause-and-effect laws of biology. If you deal in chemotherapy chemicals, don’t be surprised if you get cancer one day. If you deal in chemical pesticides, don’t be surprised if you get Alzheimer’s. If you’re a dentist installing mercury fillings in the mouths of clients, don’t be surprised if one day you just go stark raving mad (because mercury causes insanity, and dentists breathe in mercury vapor thrown into the air from their drills).

If you work around chemicals, they will eventually impact your health, and never in a good way. There’s a karmic element in all this, too: If you spend your life dishing out chemotherapy drugs as a pharmacist, you have a lot to answer for. You have been an enabler of a very realchemical holocaust against the people. Don’t be surprised if that holocaust turns against you one day. Karma tends to work that way. Cause and effect is a universal law that cannot be escaped.

And if you’re a cancer patient, I urge you to think twice about the toxicity of anything you might allow in your body. If you are trying to HEAL your body, why would you allow yourself to be poisoned with a chemical that causes cancer?

Don’t let some cancer doctor talk you into chemotherapy using his fear tactics. They’re good at that. So next time he insists that you take some chemotherapy, ask him to drink some first. If your oncologist isn’t willing to drink chemotherapy in front of you to prove it’s safe, why on earth would you agree to have it injected in your body?

The event (Schedule) was supposed to start at 9 o’clock but we arrived at 12:20 right for the lunch.

I met a lot of extraordinary people, from 19 years old fruitarians to 70 year old men who felt amazing and full of life. There were about 50 people, and most of them were from Denmark, Sweden and Germany.

After the lunch we had the first speech. The good thing was that we were having all the speeches during the day in the garden under the trees and we could just lay on the grass after the marvelous fruit meals.

Actually I did no go for the health information over there, I’m well documented about it (I read everything possible about health and nutrition and moreover I hold a nutrition therapy diploma).

I went there for inspiration.

I had the chance to personally speak with Dr. Graham and talk to him about the issues that concern me, and also the opportunity to talk to people who have been raw-fooders for 25 years. This is what I went for and I found it in ABUNDANCE.

PS: I think I had to explain for 8 times the history of Moldova (my birthplace), but they were glad to hear about Moldova and Romania – really, even being surprised that I went all the way to Denmark just to attend the event.

When the passion for something is so strong I think the boundaries just fall apart and you have the world open to you.

Just make the first step (my favorite quote is: Do just once what others say you cant do, and you will never pay attention to their limitations again).

Breackfast:

I had a very nice flight there, with 2 connections, One in Rome and Second in Katowice.

Katowice

Katowice, is a very nice city; small and quiet.

When I was 10 we moved with my family to the Capital (Chisinau) and ever since I lived in capitals (Budapest, Vienna, Bucharest) and whenever I go to small cities I am delighted by them, just the quiet atmosphere makes me happy.

Although all my polish fiends said I would be disappointed by Katowice since it’s a mining city and there is nothing to see, I loved it. Went to the fruits market and bought cherries, cucumbers, bananas – very cheap.

I even spoke with a local, when I set on a chair in the park some guy asked me something in polish and when he found out I’m leaving in Romania he said “Popescu” (once a famous football player).

And I arrived in Malmo (Sweden).

The funny part was that I flew with the low-cost airline Wizz-Air and when I arrived in Malmo there was a Wizz-air transfer bus waiting for some people who signed up for it (all the airplane was with polish people, and the bus was also reserved by the polish passengers).

I arrived in Malmo at about 23:30 and the only way I would get to Copenhagen was to take the bus to Malmo central station and then the train to Copenhagen, and then to take the train to the Copenhagen airport (where a person would pick me up and drive together to the festival). So it would probably take me about 4 hours to get to the airport. But when the driver of the wizz-air bus saw me trying to buy a ticket for malmo downtown, he said he had one more place left and for 20 eur would leave me in Copenhagen central station.

It was very nice.

PS: When we got to the wizz-air mini-bus, there were two 14 year boys to whom he said “Boys you’ll sit in de back on one chair”. But not for so long since Malmo was close and the first passenger went out there.

Copenhagen Central Station

Well, I guess no place is nice at 1 in the morning, but it seemed OK. The only issue was that I did not have any Danish Krone and something seemed wrong with the ATM machine, so I went outside and found a 24 hour shop where I bought a juice with 20 EUR and got the change in Danish Krone (thanks god).

When entering the train to the Copenhagen airport I asked the train attendant if the train was heading to the airport and a man heard me speaking English. He sat near me and we made a conversation. He asked e what am I going there and I told him the entire story.

PS: On his shirt was written HARD ROCK, but he seemed a nice guy, and he told me he was at a festival in Copenhagen and was heading home.

When he heard I’m from the eastern part of Europe and that I understand Russian, he asked 2 of mine business cards and wrote on the second his phone number, he had a Russian wife and if I would have any problems while being in Denmark to give them a call (he wrote the numbers several time since he was a bit drunk – but however spoke very well and clear).

One of my other surprises was that everybody speaks perfect English in Denmark, from the bus driver to the old granny – that made me feel comfortable there.

From the 2nd till the 6th of July I was in Scandinavia, more precisely in Denmark.

A beautiful place to visit in summer, not so cold neither hot, just perfect.

The aim of my visit was the “Fresh Food Festival” organized on Lolland Island, lower Denmark (about 2 hours by car from Copenhagen).

Why did I go there?

Well I was amazed by the teachings and presentations of Dr. Douglas Graham and I wanted to attend his presentations which he has all year round, but in USA.

And when I saw him coming to Denmark, I said “I have to be there” – so I went.

I tried to separate the story in several pages for the comfort of reading:

Are you Serious?

(NaturalNews) In its never-ending attempt to fabricate “mental disorders” out of every human activity, the psychiatric industry is now pushing the most ridiculous disease they’ve invented yet: Healthy eating disorder.

This is no joke: If you focus on eating healthy foods, you’re “mentally diseased” and probably need some sort of chemical treatment involving powerful psychotropic drugs. The Guardian newspaper reports, “Fixation with healthy eating can be sign of serious psychological disorder” and goes on to claim this “disease” is called orthorexia nervosa — which is basically just Latin for “nervous about correct eating.”

But they can’t just called it “nervous healthy eating disorder” because that doesn’t sound like they know what they’re talking about. So they translate it into Latin where it sounds smart (even though it isn’t). That’s where most disease names come from: Doctors just describe the symptoms they see with a name like osteoporosis (which means “bones with holes in them”).

Getting back to this fabricated “orthorexia” disease, the Guardian goes on to report, “Orthorexics commonly have rigid rules around eating. Refusing to touch sugar, salt, caffeine, alcohol, wheat, gluten, yeast, soya, corn and dairy foods is just the start of their diet restrictions. Any foods that have come into contact with pesticides, herbicides or contain artificial additives are also out.”

Wait a second!!!

So attempting to avoid chemicals, dairy, soy and sugar now makes you a mental health patient? Yep. According to these experts. If you actually take special care to avoid pesticides, herbicides and genetically modified ingredients like soy and sugar, there’s something wrong with you.

But did you notice that eating junk food is assumed to be “normal?” If you eat processed junk foods laced with synthetic chemicals, that’s okay with them. The mental patients are the ones who choose organic, natural foods, apparently.

What is “normal” when it comes to foods?

I told you this was coming. Years ago, I warned NaturalNews readers that an attempt might soon be under way to outlaw broccoli because of its anti-cancer phytonutrients. This mental health assault on health-conscious consumers is part of that agenda. It’s an effort to marginalize healthy eaters by declaring them to be mentally unstable and therefore justify carting them off to mental institutions where they will be injected with psychiatric drugs and fed institutional food that’s all processed, dead and full of toxic chemicals.

The Guardian even goes to the ridiculous extreme of saying, “The obsession about which foods are “good” and which are “bad” means orthorexics can end up malnourished.”

Follow the non-logic on this, if you can: Eating “good” foods will cause malnutrition! Eating bad foods, I suppose, is assumed to provide all the nutrients you need. That’s about as crazy a statement on nutrition as I’ve ever read. No wonder people are so diseased today: The mainstream media is telling them that eating health food is a mental disorder that will cause malnutrition!

Shut up and swallow your Soylent Green

It’s just like I reported years ago: You’re not supposed to question your food, folks. Sit down, shut up, dig in and chow down. Stop thinking about what you’re eating and just do what you’re told by the mainstream media and its processed food advertisers. Questioning the health properties of your junk food is a mental disorder, didn’t you know? And if you “obsess” over foods (by doing such things as reading the ingredients labels, for example), then you’re weird. Maybe even sick.

That’s the message they’re broadcasting now. Junk food eaters are “normal” and “sane” and “nourished.” But health food eaters are diseased, abnormal and malnourished.

But why, you ask, would they attack healthy eaters? People like Dr. Gabriel Cousens can tell you why: Because increased mental and spiritual awareness is only possible while on a diet of living, natural foods.

Eating junk foods keeps you dumbed down and easy to control, you see. It literally messes with your mind, numbing your senses with MSG, aspartame and yeast extract. People who subsist on junk foods are docile and quickly lose the ability to think for themselves. They go along with whatever they’re told by the TV or those in apparent positions of authority, never questioning their actions or what’s really happening in the world around them.

In contrast to that, people who eat health-enhancing natural foods — with all the medicinal nutrients still intact — begin to awaken their minds and spirits. Over time, they begin to question the reality around them and they pursue more enlightened explorations of topics like community, nature, ethics, philosophy and the big picture of things that are happening in the world. They become “aware” and can start to see the very fabric of the Matrix, so to speak.

This, of course, is a huge danger to those who run our consumption-based society because consumption depends on ignorance combined with suggestibility. For people to keep blindly buying foods, medicines, health insurance and consumer goods, they need to have their higher brain functions switched off. Processed junk foods laced with toxic chemicals just happens to achieve that rather nicely. Why do you think dead, processed foods remain the default meals in public schools, hospitals and prisons? It’s because dead foods turn off higher levels of awareness and keep people focused on whatever distractions you can feed their brains: Television, violence, fear, sports, sex and so on.

But living as a zombie is, in one way quite “normal” in society today because so many people are doing it. But that doesn’t make it normal in my book: The real “normal” is an empowered, healthy, awakened person nourished with living foods and operating as a sovereign citizen in a free world. Eating living foods is like taking the red pill because over time it opens up a whole new perspective on the fabric of reality. It sets you free to think for yourself.

But eating processed junk foods is like taking the blue pill because it keeps you trapped in a fabricated reality where your life experiences are fabricated by consumer product companies who hijack your senses with designer chemicals (like MSG) that fool your brain into thinking you’re eating real food.

If you want to be alive, aware and in control of your own life, eat more healthy living foods. But don’t expect to be popular with mainstream mental health “experts” or dieticians — they’re all being programmed to consider you to be “crazy” because you don’t follow their mainstream diets of dead foods laced with synthetic chemicals.

But you and I know the truth here: We are the normal ones. The junk food eaters are the real mental patients, and the only way to wake them up to the real world is to start feeding them living foods.

Some people are ready to take the red pill, and others aren’t. All you can do is show them the door. They must open it themselves.

In the mean time, try to avoid the mental health agents who are trying to label you as having a mental disorder just because you pay attention to what you put in your body. There’s nothing wrong with avoiding sugar, soy, MSG, aspartame, HFCS and other toxic chemicals in the food supply. In fact, your very life depends on it.
