Narotam Sekhsaria Scholarships for Higher Studies

The Narotam Sekhsaria Foundation under its Scholarship Programme awards interest-free loan scholarships to Indian students with a consistently good academic record. The scholarship amount (upto a maximum of INR 20 lakhs) is decided as per the assessment of the Foundation.

Eligibility Criteria

Indian national, residing in India
Students below 30 years of age as on January 31, 2016
Students planning to pursue post graduate studies from Fall 2016
Graduates of a recognized university (or in the final year of the degree course or awaiting results)
Students awaiting a decision from the university are eligible to apply but the award of scholarship is subject to securing admission

Prime Minister’s Fellowship Scheme for Doctoral Research

The Prime Minister’s Fellowship Scheme for Doctoral Research is a public-private partnership (PPP) between Science & Engineering Research Board (SERB), which is an autonomous body under the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).

This scheme is aimed at encouraging young, talented, enthusiastic and result-oriented scholars to take up industry-relevant research.

Up to 100 new Fellowships are provided every year.
Duration of the Fellowship is four years.

JPF 21 to JPF 25: Consolidated Remuneration per month: INR 20000/-
SPF 14 to SPF 16: Consolidated Remuneration per month: INR 22000/-

Age limit: 35 years as on 09/03/2016 (Age relaxation as per Government of India rules).

The tenure of Project Fellow is for a period of ONE YEAR and extendable on performance and need basis.
Duly filled application form along with attested copies of documents proving educational qualification, age, caste, experience etc., should be sent to “The Senior Administrative Officer, Recruitment and Review Section, IIST, Valiamala PO, Thiruvananthapuram – 695547” on or before 09/03/2016 by post, in a cover with superscription “Application for Project Fellow”.
