I just wanted to show you the view from the rental house where we&#8217;re staying in Homer, Alaska.  This was taken at 10:00 tonight.  It&#8217;s now 11:15, and I&#8217;m still staring at those mountains.  They&#8217;re no longer bathed in sunlight, but it&#8217;s not anywhere close to being dark.  What a beautiful state this is!

		<description><![CDATA[The Umstead Hotel&#8217;s Herons Restaurant has a new executive chef, Paul Kellum, who comes from Vail&#8217;s Blue Moon Restaurant and Bar.  Kellum replaces Phil Evans after Evans&#8217; sudden and somewhat mysterious departure from Herons.

I hosted a small dinner party on Saturday where I planned to make a dinner that really highlighted what was fresh at the North Carolina Farmers Market.
