So here is the next chapter in the ISMISM Mix series, the same team that have brought you, “SummerStepp Vol.1 & Vol.2”, “Some Like It Hot”, “The Best Of 2010 & 2011”, and last summer’s “Dude, Where’s My Droid?”. 2012 sees a new sub-genre of Bass Culture, I’ve heard it called Drum & Bass, Dubstep, Electro, Breakbeat, 100BPM, Hip-Hop, Trip-Hop and even Glitch-Hop (We always wondered if that was a real genre). Whatever people are calling it we think it’s a fresh new sound and this mix sums up the direction of that genre. It features artists such as KOAN Sound, Statix, Eddie K, Culprate and more. All tracks are released and are available to purchase from various stores and a few were even “Free” downloads from the artists Facebook page. At the end of 2010 we gave ourselves a project to try and summarise the year in electronic music, we tried and tried to put together a playlist but in the end argued so much that we decided to use all of them all, this became an incredibly stressful process but the end project made us very happy. 109 of the best track that 2010 had to offer, spread across two and half hours.

This Mix was done in the summer of 2010, We decided to do a mix of really nice euphoric and yet chilled Drum & Bass, Sunshine through your speakers stylee, after making it we decided it was really boring and to ditch the Project, and that is where the project title comes from, we decided that Some Like It Hot, but when it comes to Beats, Some Like It Cold, and so we made a Mix of the Dirtiest tunes in the crate and so this mix was borne.

So this is an old Mix, which got a lot of love just as Dubstep was discovering what it was as a Genre, it shows of the many sides of it that we all love from tune that are so funky you can’t help but shimmy those shoulders, to tunes that will leave you screwfacing without even knowing it.
