On our tenth and final episode before a Christmas hiatus, Spenny and Sav selected a special guest panel to send us off into the new year. We were lucky and thankful to have Alanna Smith, Jen Doerksen, James Doroshuk, Taylor Isham, and Avery (who chose not to join the conversation but wanted to sit in).

Each guest chose a track that meant something to them. As usual, we break it down and give our expert opinion. We had a great mix of music and an even better conversation.

Stay tuned for more fuzz in the new year.

Today’s Halloween themed episode of The Fuzz Factory Podcast is all about the Prince of Darkness (Ozzy Osbourne) and a … More

Today’s Halloween themed episode of The Fuzz Factory Podcast is all about the Prince of Darkness (Ozzy Osbourne) and a modern band called Wight. Both bring a heavy and classic rock feel, which was perfect for this episode.

On this episode: We talk about Black Sabbath and the political feel to some of their tracks. We also discuss some of Ozzy’s lyrics and the haunting feel of Black Sabbath’s self-titled song “Black Sabbath”

We switch things up halfway through and Sav talks about Wight, some funky and bluesy rockers from Germany. You can buy their newest album on iTunes or BandCamp at Wight – BandCamp.

A special treat: You’ll also get to hear a short audio drama produced by your hosts Spenny and Sav. The thrilling tale of a haircut-gone-wrong is may or may not cause you to seek professional counselling. (Note: The Fuzz Factory is not responsible for any hair-related nightmares or triggers)

Today’s tracks played in The Fuzz Factory Podcast were hand-picked by our first official guest, the one, the only, Alanna Smith. (Applause Here)

She’s a classmate of hosts Spenny and Sav, and decided that The Fuzz Factory needed a few more bands to check out. Alanna gave Spenny and Sav some great songs and we had a great conversation about sweaters, man buns, and some music stuff too.

*Disclaimer: This episode is 100% guaranteed to make you laugh and time travel back to the 60’s at the same time.

Bands featured in today’s episode are Quick Silver Messenger Service and Electric Prunes. Check out their albums, “Happy Trails” (by Quick Silver Messenger Service) and “Release of an Oath” (by Electric Prunes) for even more psychedelic sound perfection.

Highlighting one of the most prominent and most psychedelic bands from the 1960’s, today’s episode of The Fuzz Factory is all about The Doors.

They rose to fame in the late 1960’s and took over America with hits like “Light My Fire”, “L.A. Woman” and many more before lead singer Jim Morrison’s sudden death in 1971.

All the songs in today’s episode are from The Doors albums “The Doors” (1967) and “L.A. Woman” (1971).

***Correction on the episode. I (Spenny) said that the album “L.A. Woman” by the doors was their third album. It was NOT their third, it was their sixth studio album, and the last Doors album to feature Jim Morrison on lead vocals.

Episode 4 of The Fuzz Factory Podcast is very…fuzzy.

In this episode Spenny and Sav talk about two bands with albums that came out this year (2016). The music is a little heavier than previous episodes but that doesn’t mean that it’s any less amazing. Bands discussed in this episode are Fuzzcrafter and Buffalo Fuzz, both from the U.S.A.
