The first thing that stood out to me when I unboxed my CSB Legacy Notetaking Bible was the quality.  This is a huge Bible but it didn’t weigh a ton.  It was average weight but the texture of the covers was truly amazing.  I received the genuine tan leather to review.  The leather is like none other that I have experienced.  It is like butter.  So soft.  Believe me when I tell you I could not stop running my hands over the cover.  The first thought that came to mind was wow I would love to have a travelers notebook that felt like this.  What a blessing to have a Bible like this.  The fact that it is a legacy Bible and is crafted the way it is ensures that it will last for a life time.  You can hand this Bible down from generation to generation and not worry about it falling apart. 

As you can see from the above photo I am reviewing the CSB Legacy Notetaking Bible with the slide in and out clasp. This was definitely an added plus for me.  I loved the fact that this clasp will keep my Bible closed when not in use and it will also keep all my important papers from falling out.  The CSB Legacy Notetaking Bible is a Bible that you’ll want to fill up with your Bible journaling notes or just artwork.  The paper is super thick so there is no danger of bleed through.  The reason this Bible is called a legacy Bible is it has special sections for family tree information, memories, important events and so much more.  There are even blank note pages so you don’t run out of room. The wide margins allow you to journal in this Bible to leave a legacy to whom ever it is passed down too.  You can write your thoughts, prayers or any insight that you want to keep a record of for years to come. 

Another feature is the special notetaking concordance to record any legacy notes that you may want to preserve.  This Bible comes with instructions too.  To help you use it to gain the most from it.  I also loved the font as it is easy to read and provides the right amount of text per page, yet leaves space for journaling. 

As you can see from the photos above this Bible comes with two ribbon book marks.  I love this as I am always running out of bookmarks to mark my spot.  But with two I can use one for what we are learning in church or from sermons and the other one for Sunday school. 

There is so much more contained within the pages of this Bible, but I don’t want to share too much as I want you to check it out for yourself.  I know once you hold this Bible in your hands you will be blown away just as I was.  One thing I do want to caution you about though.  When I first opened the CSB Legacy Notetaking Bible I was worried about writing in it.  It was so pretty and pristine what if I messed it up.  But I tell you this so you won’t let fear win.  Who cares.  I am sure the people in generations to come won’t care that you made a mistake.  They are going to be so over joyed that you left them a legacy that they will overlook any of the things that might stop you from writing in this Bible.  So grab your journaling supplies and don’t look back get started today.

I was sent the Thompson Chain-Reference Bible published by Zondervan by the Bible Gateway Blogger program.  I received this Bible free of charge in exchange for my honest review.  So all the thoughts below are my own after using this Bible for 30 days to study and read Scripture.

Lifeway and Lev3l sent me three KJV Bibles to review.  So you can image that three items took a little longer than just one.  I am only writing a review on one of the Bibles I received but still I used all three in order to determine which one I wanted to share with you.  So without further ado.

Let me introduce you to the Holman KJV Study Bible.  This Bible is a fully illustrated study Bible.  It is designed to help you know and apply God’s Word to your life.  Personally, I love the KJV (King James Version) Bible.  I like to read other translations but I keep returning to the poetic language of the KJV. 

The Holman KJV Study Bible includes a wide array of study resources including over 16,000 study notes.  This Bible features the authorized version of the King James translation which captures the majesty of God’s Word.  Full Color photos, illustrations, maps and so much more.  Honestly, I could of used the Homan KJV Study Bible for another month and still would not of discovered all the amazing features it has to offer.  

For over 400 years, the King James Version has been the trusted translation for millions of believers, capturing the majesty of God’s Word and shaping the worship of generations.  Since 1611, Christians have turned to the King James Version of the Bible for a faithful and beautiful rendering of God’s Word. Its rich tradition has guided generations of pastors, authors, and scholars, while its reverent language continues to shape our words today.  The KJV was translated in the beginning of the 1600s. The scholars translating it were among the top scholars of their day, and most were deeply familiar with literature and poetry as well as with theology and ancient languages. They were also intent on creating a translation that would last for generations, so they avoided recent changes to the language, often using words and phrases that sounded formal even then to ensure the dignity and longevity of the translation.

As I shared above, I sometimes stray from the KJV Bible and try other translations, but I always return to it.  I love the original KJV language it is so beautiful.  It is like reading God’s Word in the original language at the feet of Jesus.  Or it is how I would image Jesus talking to His disciples as they reclined at the table with Him.  The Psalms is the place that this really stands out to me.  It makes the Psalms have a musical rhythm to them.  Since they were songs that were song when you read the Psalms in the KJV you almost want to sing along.  I know a lot of people do not like the KJV Bible version but let me share a little side story with you that just may change your mind.   In the KJV Bible the word “thou” is used, which sounds Shakespearian to us.  But in the original language “thou” was used a sign of closeness.  So you can see it is a way to convey intimacy.  I don’t know about you but I want to be intimate with God.

After using this Bible for a week, I can not believe I Verse Mapped without it. It makes it so much easier. Everything you need all in one place. The only addition I use is my James Method Journal as I didn’t want to write within the pages of the Bible the first year I used it. The only thing I did not like about the Verse Mapping Bible is the version. I am NOT a NIV girl. I do not recommend the NIV either. So I use my own favorite Bible translation in addition to the Verse Mapping Bible only because I do not like the translation I received.
