We have tried several baby washes and even the original Johnson’s baby shampoo was too harsh for his skin. I like the smell too.   It is a refreshing fruity smell.   We have used Johnson’s baby products with all of our children and I am happy they are evolving into organics and natural products.   I definitely recommend the new line, especially for sensitive skin. The vitamin comes in a liquid cherry flavored liquid. My six year old told me he liked the taste and didn’t complain when I gave it to him. I thought it had a good taste too. It is Labor Day Weekend and time to get out the grill and side dishes. I wanted to share my favorite taco dip that we have been making for years. I like it because it is quick, easy and tastes fantastic! Frito Lay Tostitos, especially the scoops, taste best with the dip in my opinion.

SOUR CREAM TACO DIP

Ingredients

• 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
• 1 (16 ounce) container nonfat sour cream
• 1 (1.25 ounce) package taco seasoning mix
• 1/4 head iceberg lettuce – rinsed, dried, and shredded
• 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
• 3 chopped tomatoes
• 1 green bell pepper, chopped
• 1 (2.25 ounce) can black olives, drained

In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream and taco seasoning. Spread this mixture in a 9-inch (or a little larger) round serving dish. Top the mixture with lettuce, Cheddar cheese, tomatoes, bell pepper and black olives.You can substitute other ingredients that you like too. This serves about 24 and only takes 10 minutes!

I have a few friends who are earning their college degrees online and they like the flexiblity it offers. They are busy moms and wanted to go back to school.    I think online colleges will  be the way adults will choose to earn their degrees in the future. There can be many benefits to online college for busy moms.   It seems like there are a ton of colleges and it can be difficult to know which one is legitimate and worth spending the money. American Public University is one option to look into to earn a degree. Most important, Public University System (APUS) is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) of the North Central Association and nationally accredited by the Accrediting Commission, Distance Education and Training Council.

After looking over the website and watching a couple of the parent students stories on video, it seems APU is very flexible with working with busy parents. You can take your classes on your own schedule, basically anytime day or night. Classes start every month and are 8 and 16 weeks schedules. APU offers over one hundred degree options and every class is 100 percent online. The cost is $750 for a 3 credit course. I would recommend checking to see if any online college degree is accredited and the degree you are interested in would gain employment. APU does have accrediting that I mentioned above. I was impressed with all of the degrees, both associates and masters, they offer. They also offer certificates for career development. Let’s talk fashion for a minute. Gossip Girl fashion. First of all, I am not a fashionista. I am far from it. I am comfy in my jeans and sweats, mostly because of messy children. Gossip Girl is fun to watch just to see what new outfits they come up with every week. Of course they are very expensive outfits, but in TV land they have to be trendy. The clothes are so popular that gossip tabloids will photograph the actors when they are out in New York to get a sneak peek.  There are websites devoted to just the fashion.

My favorite outfits are what Blair wears. If I were to ever be wealthy and had a nanny, I would copy her style. The best dresser isn’t even one of the girls in my opinion. Chuck is the best dressed and his accessories are crazy stylin. Is that the right word? Anyway, I think the clothes get better and more outrageous every season. Season 3 of Gossip Girl, out on DVD, was a memorable year for fashion. If you don’t watch Gossip Girl, I posted some pictures below of a couple of outfits that I liked from Season 3.  I love the jackets Blair wears.  The picture of Blair and Chuck is from the Thanksgiving episode on season 3.
