A few days ago, I completed a post “Recruiting For Your Home Based Business, Are You Doing It All WRONG!!”… giving you my insight on how I have seen a lot of people fail because they focus on the products, the company, the compensation plan when recruiting for their home based business…… instead of focusing on their prospect’s hot buttons and reasons why they’d want to do it.

I also gave you the 7 key motivators to use when recruiting for your home based business so you can create a presentation ensuring you touch on these, to give you a MUCH better chance of recruiting on what you have.

Using these motivators you will definitely plant a seed, and when the time is right YOU’ll be the one they go to.

Today is about another BIG MOTIVATOR to get others to buy into your business opportunity, product or really any selling you do. Today’s big motivator is using an emotion that we all have and you could trace all our decisions to their root cause… I’d say with starting a home based business it really is the MAIN motivator.

It is HOPE!

To purchase any product, it is the knowledge or the HOPE that it will solve you issue, whatever the issue may be.

I dont know that people completely realise how powerful HOPE is as an emotion. The power it has over us, it is one a core emotion that really runs our lives and dictates our behaviour.

To gauge how to use this emotion successfully could be the secret to being a successful entrepreneur. Don’t forget though, it’s not the only one, but definitely one you need to incorporate into your recruiting process. Why? Because that’s really what you do. You sell HOPE.

People come looking for a promise of a bigger, brighter, more fulfilling future… one filled with the things THEY want in their lives.

You will find the moment your prospect finds some reason to believe in you and that fact that these things will happen to them as a result of joining your business or buying your product… you will start that spark of HOPE in them. It’s this hope that when sparked will immediately change their state of mind and take them to a ready buyer with money in their hands.

Hope is the product that you sell, and the better you can get at it, the more people you’ll sponsor and the more money you’ll make.

So the next question is… “How do I sell hope if I haven’t yet experienced a lot of success myself?”

The way I became a success in my home based business, and the way I tell my team to do this and the only way I know how to do it and that’s to completely immerse yourself in your business. You have to become OBSESSED with your success.

I understand that you may be part-time at your home based business and working your fulltime job, but you need to start by every waking minute of your day, you need to be focused in your business and what you can do to make it grow.

I am not saying that you avoid your family or other responsibilities… but this is NOT your job. At 5 o’clock you don’t shut off and not think about it until the next time you have your next appointment, like everyone does with their J-O-B-S.

I know that sounds a bit harsh… but really… you need to be focused to be making six and seven figures a year working from home.It takes focus and persistence in your actions, to live this kind of life and make this kind of money.

There is a very good trick to being as focused as you need to be in this industry, and that is to be around others like you. Now this can be a little more difficult when your business is entirely online. I mean there’s no physical office to go into or weekly training sessions like I used to do.

So plug yourself in on a regular basis to get your batteries charged. Have webinars, work with someone that really motivates you. Get your team together on Skype and share success and keep each other motivation moving on a weekly or bi-weekly training session. It’s hard to sell HOPE when you feel drained yourself.

See, these statements are all true and the company may be great and the products are too amazing… but these are NOT what get’s people excited about joining a home based business.

I can pretty much GUARANTEE that the reason you joined the home based business you are in was for a much different reason.

Feeling good about what you do is really important, don’t get me wrong, and I’m certain you believe 100% in the home based business opportunity…BUT these are the supporting reasons behind your decision to start the home based business you are in.

The REAL reason you started in your home based business… and this will ultimately be same reason why others will join you is…it’s to make them feel BETTER about themselves.

ALL buying decisions (and the process is the same when recruiting someone for your home based business is the same… you need to get them BUY INTO what you do)… then you need to understand it is an emotional decision.

So with this let’s show you how to think about it when talking to someone about your home based business…

Do you think that they will but in because your product is “life changing” or the “unique” compensation plan perhaps you sell saying the vision of the founder is what REALLY incredible will get someone to move?

NO!!!

Now you need to look at the reasons that they will buy because of.

Here are 7 motivators we ALL have, in no particular order:

1. Money

2. Security

3. Recognition

4. Achievement

5. Love of Family

6. Acceptance of Others

7. Self-Acceptance

These reasons are all running automatically in our heads WHEN we make buying decisions and when we do commit it’s for one or more of these reasons.

Now they all can be linked back to how it makes us feel good about ourselves.

Our motivators can be things like feeling loved by your family… accepted by your peers… having enough money… being recognized and appreciated…. all of these are things that make us feel good, right?

So the same is when others are considering joining your home based business and you speak to them about different things which some do not satisfy these… things that are IMPORTANT TO THEM… then you are closing the opportunity and you have NO CHANCE of getting them to join you in your home based business.

And as I found out when recruiting for your home based business… if the only thing you talk to them about is money… then your chances to get them are good temporarily as you appeal to their GREED, but it won’t last unless you can grab them emotionally by their REAL reason(s).

It is when your prospects for your home based business can see themselves what THEY want as a result of associating with you… is when you will get them.

This is why it’s important to ask questions, and pay close attention to what they tell you.

I can tell you now that people will usually tell you what they need for you to recruit them to your home based business.

I have found that a good question to ask people, and it does wonders in terms of digging DEEP to discover their REAL MOTIVATOR, and it’s….

What’s Important To You?

This is when they indicate really what is driving them to look at a home based business, and if they want to make more money, pretty much everyone says that… you have to find out WHY it’s important to them to make more money.

Think about it, we all want to make more money, but if it’s their only motivator… then why haven’t they gotten it yet?

I believe that often people really aren’t sure they know what they want… so they say they want bigger house, car, more money… but it’s really what all these things will do for them, and how they will make them feel.

I can tell you a lot of the leaders in home based business industry are driven by praise and recognition.

Sure more money is something we all want… but when you help someone feel important and appreciated, I’m telling you people will do incredible things to get recognized.

That is a human instinct.

A HUGE motivator for a lot of people, is things like being an idol in the eyes of their kids, someone they would be proud of… also having lots of security… so think of these things that drive us and when you are recruiting for your home based business… you will see it to dwarf anything else and will become the dominant reason people will flock to YOU and join YOU in your home based business.

So if you’re not sponsoring as many people as you’d like, a little change in your approach to focus on THEM… THEIR GOALS, DREAMS and MOTIVATIONS…might just do the trick.

Motivation is one of the vital key and seems to be a real challenge for a lot of people working from home.

Motivation is essential to being more productive and making more money, especially working from home on your own. In this industry, it is so easy to become lethargic while working from home. I had no idea of the importance of this step for anyone just getting started in the working from home based industry or even someone who has been in it for a long time.

Goals are our motivation, and setting these goals are the key to keeping focus and understanding why you are working from home and help you not to get distracted. Not having a boss to keep an eye on you or being held accountable for your actions, you will find that setting yourself goals such as making an extra $200 a week or obtaining 10 new customers is where you will see the effort you need to put in and don’t let yourself get distracted or lose your focus if your friends ring and want to go out for coffee when you know you should be working from home.

Set your Working From Home hours:

Just like working in the office, your need to dedicate your working from home business with structured hours with minimum and maximum hours for your working from home business. The best thing about this allows you to say how many hours per week you are going to dedicate and when those hours are.

You will discover that most people have certain times of the day when their productivity level significantly rises. These are the times you need to take advantage of and not the times to read emails, chat with friends, or perform routine work tasks. Use these times to take on the big tasks that you know you require the most of yourself to achieve.

With regulating your office hours when working from home will remind you to be professional and that work is the primary focus. This is not the time to be doing chores or watching TV, it is time to work.

In saying this, you should allow yourself a specific amount of time for your standard breaks during the day.

Just like in the office, when working from home you should Log in and out for breaks and for lunch. If you schedule your breaks and lunches you will find that this helps prevent wasting two hours on breaks and spending too much time on lunch each day.

Be organized:

When you are working from home, it is important to set yourself up with an organised office space, somewhere you can claim as your area to have your papers, computer and everything you need to work. Working from home in a well-organized office can put you in a better mood and make you feel more like a professional.

Limit the distractions:

While working from home it is easy to get distracted by your children, pets, phone calls, email, computer games, social networking sites and online shopping can take up chunks of time and you’ve easily wasted an hour of your working day.

When you are in your working from home hours only respond to personal email during your breaks and don’t create an unscheduled break just to respond to personal email! I very good hint is to use your call display to determine if you should answer the phone during your working from home working hours.

Dress for work:

This is a very interesting fact but they say when you are working from home you don’t have to wear a suit and tie but wear clothes that are appropriate to be seen in if one of your clients shows up at your home. It is a lot easier to focus as a professional if you are dressing like one, it’s difficult for a work-at-home professional to feel vibrant and motivated while wearing pyjamas.

Take time off:

As you do when working in an office, when working from home you should take short holidays every quarter or every school holidays and have some fun. Working from home all day and night can easily make work boring and motivation declines. I recommend that you take time away from the computer and spend time with friends and family. You’ll feel better for it!! Remember, you are here for a good time not a long time.

Create your To-do list:

By creating this list is an excellent way to track your tasks that need to be done and mark off when they are completed. Take Time exercise: It is recommended to go for a walk or 2 during the day. It’s important to get fresh air and get out of the office. Exercise makes people feel better.

These tips will help you with you and your business when working from home, and we hope you can make a higher income by staying motivated and focused. Remember being motivated and focused can also keep you from feeling bored during the working day. Recruiting For Your Home Based Business Do You Do It With Your Head OR Your Heart?

Recruiting for your home based business is an absolute cruncher for the growth and development of your business. It can be a winner or a deal breaker for you in terms of using your energy and momentum correctly and allowing your business to grow or to fail miserably.

Let me tell you the secret: There are 2 different approaches when it comes to recruiting for your home based business.

The first is recruiting for your home based business accepting people with your head… using facts, logic, and all the reasons your product makes sense. There are a lot of people who will fall into this category.

When recruiting for your home based business, you will know when you start talking to them, you will find that they get excited about your products and hopefully they then accept that they enjoy talking about them and grow your business by selling your products.

This is great for recruiting for your home based business for product sales. We all need to sell products, and that is a fundamental key to business profit and therefore a good start to recruiting for your home based business. And that’s how A LOT of people’s approach is to recruiting for your home based business is.

But my approach is a little different.

I would like to say that my preferred type of recruiting for your home based business is business development. The approach my team use for recruiting for your home based business is also to believe in the products and services, BUT… we don’t look at them as a product they sell. These are the company’s products.

The secret I wish to share with you regarding when recruiting for your home based business is;

Remember #1 Product is the business opportunity.

This little point is fundamental to recruiting for your home based business, it is so important to ensure that when recruiting for your home based business, to make sure they feel good about your company’s products and what they do… whether it’s health, wealth, educational… without the belief in the business they will never get started.

But when recruiting for your home based business you need people who are a driver, who has ambition, and who wants to run with you and get to the same place you are striving for.

I have found that the in recruiting for your home based business that the top people in our business are just made that little bit differently. Whether it is their ambition or yearning within them that’s just burning and they want to get started. Perhaps they know that there is no belief in the standard J-O-B security, or possibly their pay check does doesn’t cover their life’s needs.

When recruiting for your home base business I look to recruit people who are results oriented, like myself. My passion is to be with people who want to make money, build wealth, become rich… AND they aren’t afraid to say it. You will see that their ultimate motivation is to be FREE!

Unfortunately when recruiting for your home based business you will find that a lot of people just don’t get that. W

hen recruiting for your home based business I am sure you have come across people who just don’t understand… don’t share the vision or the passion you have?

When I started my first job I was the minimum age 14 years and nine months old, I started working at McDonald’s in my local town Coffs Harbour. I was so excited and couldn’t wait to start earning my own money, and even though it was only a few dollars an hour I was terribly excited.

Then the excitement wore off as I realized that working from someone is pretty hard and having a boss tell you what to do all the time, watching you like a hawk… and basically making my life a misery helped me realize I didn’t want to do this all my life.

Over the next few years I’ve had multiple jobs and WELL… I disliked most of them. Actually there was one job where I worked for a nice family in their car dealership, great people, treated me well, but hardly paid anything. Now I am pretty clever and it didn’t take me very long to realize that there’s NO SUCH THING AS A GOOD JOB.

I find it easy recruiting for your home based business as we have all been there, we have all been in the life of showing up to work at 7am, fighting traffic, living life for the weekends, hanging out to go on vacation… and do it for 40 years… yeah that’s a real dream for most people.

So talking to people and recruiting for your home based business showing them the freedom they can have is a pretty easy sell.

One of my team mates said to me when I was assisting one of my team members in recruiting for your home based business … “I’d crawl over broken glass on my hands and knees… to become financially free.”

When they said this I told my team-mate that doing this recruiting for your home based business is why when I joined this business… for me there was NO OTHER OPTION but to make it work.

I wanted to quit a million times. Everyone goes through that. But the truth be told, I wanted to be FREE a lot more than to go back to the comfort and security of an office job.

Recruiting for your home based business can be the answer to my freedom, which means more to me than slacking off and going back to a stock standard average wage JOB. In my time I have come to know a lot six-figure income earners in their JOB’s… jobs they could never walk away from because they truthfully could never afford it… they have become a SLAVE to job. I see them all so often that the job calls and they have no choice they need to … jump on an aeroplane, called to be away from their family for a week or even more. I was coming back from a family holiday, going to one of our favourite destinations and it was 6am in the morning and I couldn’t believe the line at the Starbucks in the airport that early in the morning.

The line was like 40 minutes and every single person there was in a suit with a laptop.

I looked at my husband and said… “See this, it makes me realise that we pay the price we do… we are a little bit different… and a lot of people don’t understand why we do what we do… it proves to me that all these people here, make a reasonable living by most people’s standards… but the standard lifeless expression on their faces… I see these people have no drive, their ambition has been crushed and they are corporate slaves.”

So whether you are recruiting for your home based business or you are wanting to be recruited for a home based business, ask yourself a few questions.

Do you believe in JOB SECURITY?

Are you a believer that ACTIONS speak louder than words?

Are you results driven individual… and do you believe that results are MORE important than degrees, positions, and all that B.S.?

Does just the thought of being in a rat race for 40+ years make you physically sick?

Perhaps you have a deep burning desire to make LOTS and LOTS of money.

Anytime I am talking to someone and recruiting for your home based business I ask these same questions that I just put to you now, as these questions strike a button in true entrepreneurs… and it is the same deep burning desire that drives them to do what they do IN SPITE of anything that gets thrown their way.

This is the way I would say to start recruiting for your home based business.

The secret for recruiting for your home based business to set you on the road to Freedom and Independence.

I know it is easy to talk about a 90 day action plan, but it is totally different to actually do one.

A 90 Day action plan are a method of developing new people or team members that may be stuck where they are and just need to get the next step up.

I did a 90 day action plan when I first made a decision to build my business and within 14 months of starting my 90 day action plan (that lasted 18 months lol) I was earning well over $100,000 per year.
Our 90 day action plan has started and has taken us from earning $500, sometimes $1000 per week to over $3000 per week and climbing. Who is with us?

We started our 90 day action plan which is creating so much momentum for our business.

In my 90 action plan I am spending 90 days totally dedicated to the growth of our business because I have a dream to achieve and I am going to get there. Do you want to achieve your dreams to?

My teams were excited when they got to create their own 90 day action plan and the drive that it has created has been amazing and the results we are seeing is amazing.

Things in our business have been good for a quote some time now, and my family’s life has been comfortable, however this 90 day action plan is causing amazing momentum and showing me how truly terrific our lives can be.

I know that a lot of us and I am one of them, can get caught up in doing just enough to get by, we get so comfortable and a little bit lazy that just enough is all I could be bothered in doing (it works so why work too hard).

I know as I have completed a 90 day action plan before several times actually and know that I am getting out of my comfort zone is this is truly the only way for me to achieve my dream, and I would love for you to join me and do the same. We all have a comfort zone, a place where everything is nice and cosy, where we feel warm and safe. The issue is, we have all been living here for most of our lives and this is the reason we are getting the results we are getting. It is unfortunate the when a lot of people are advised by their mentors that they should start and complete a 90 Day Massive Action Plan they put all this information, energy and time into the beginning and they never finish.  Yet the finish that is the important component.

Local Teams are essential for any network marketer that wants to become successful in their arena.

So we want to help you understand the fundamentals on how to build yourself your local teams. It is my goal for today to provide you a lesson for you to understand today how important your local teams are going to be to your ongoing success and the momentum it creates for mostly yourself and other parts of your team who may not be near you.

A lot of us are currently getting stuck behind the computer and doing webinars, and not really thinking about the importance of building local teams and the relationship that comes from the “belly to belly, face to face contact”.

I have been in this industry for many years and know that something truly amazing happens when you start to connect with your local teams and their prospects, something totally powerful that does not happen over a webinar or Skype call.

However all of you that only wish to sit behind your computer screen will never experience it, if don’t apply and understand the fundamentals of this important component of building your local teams. So let’s look at building local teams and how to go about it.

It is seen so often when people get started in their new home based business, they get their first person started, and both of them are so excited about their new venture, then without realising the most silly thing happens, they stop!!! They don’t go any further. We don’t realise that it was the building a relationship like building our local teams and what I wish to show you today that could keep that excitement going for us.

Local teams will be growing together and having people around you to show you what they are doing. When you are in your local teams doing this you all change and do something similar or even together will help with the momentum and continuance of the excitement.

There will be many times you will have to remind yourself and your local teams of the reason you all got started so they can then instil that belief into the people they are talking to. Developing your local teams is fun and rewarding. Making new friends, building relationships and also working with like-minded people can do many things for your business.

Here are some key points below on what to do to build your local teams and continue to make them grow:

1. Be excited: This is one of the things I love to do!!

When I move into a new arena, like building our local teams, I cast a vision and I show how excited I actually am. People are usually looking for vision, particularly when part of your local teams. They are looking for something or someone they can get behind, something that will help THEM achieve their dreams and desires. Something that makes them feel valued and wanted. Let’s just think about that for a moment. People want to feel valued and wanted. So by doing this in your local teams, by helping someone feel this, you are half way there.

This can bring upon you one issue in your local teams, the problem is you shouldn’t want them to feel as though YOU need them. As soon as people feel like this, they lose faith in your leadership and that they are in the seat of power. When building your local teams you need to keep the control and to feel as though THEY need you and whatever you are doing and teaching. You do this simply by making sure they see your vision and what you are going to do, and make it clear that you are doing this with them or without them, but it would just be a lot more fun with them.

If then they decide not to go with you and come on board, that is just fine, just make sure you show them that you are going to move on without them.

This takes us on to our next point:

2. Be Aggressive: Now I do not mean being arrogant, egotistical or rude.

I am simply saying about talking with “intent” in your decision that you are going to build. When building your local teams your intention must follow through everything you do. It will flow through your words, your actions, your posture…it must flow through everything. Just now that as a human being, people don’t like to miss out, people don’t want to be left behind, and when using “intent” will have to be the most important decision you could make.

3. Start and when you start…DON’T STOP!!!

When developing your local teams, you must stay focused as when you start building is so very important and a hard thing to do. There are plenty of distractions out there to steal your focus, attention and energy. Make your own list of the things that are your “Stealers” and then beware of them and don’t let them steal your attention.

4. Start aggressive marketing.

Start by NOT being afraid to talk to everyone you know and everyone that you come into contact with. This is why I love to build in my local teams as this is where I find my personal strength is “situational prospecting.” Situational prospecting is prospecting people I may not know or I may when I meet them down the street or on the phone.

It comes quite easily when you know how to do this and it is also really nice as I really enjoy building the relationships and then setting an appointment. I notice that one of the things I do when I am speaking to someone, when I have found someone a situational prospecting situation is I truly am interested in how I can help THEM…and this is key for the industry we are in, in a nut shell.

The person who takes charge and who genuinely thinks about other people and their needs will be the person that generates the biggest interest and biggest checks/cheques. This is definitely something you need to do every day in your local teams.

I have become over indulged in doing more and more online stuff and somehow forgot that it is my real passion is growing my local teams. I love the people meeting and talking with others when growing my local teams, so now as part of my 90 day massive action plan, I am totally focused on taking all the opportunities that come my way and growing my local teams.

5. Take the opportunities that come your way in growing your local teams…

As a business owner we somehow forget to realise that there are so many opportunities coming our way every single day, we just don’t see them… It is a real shame as we all need and are hungry for ideas and opportunities, and when the answers start coming, we either don’t see them or we do but are too scared to approach them, and decide not to do anything about them. If you believe that you can decide that today you want to start marketing on Facebook and Twitter and you will earn tens of thousands of dollars in your first month is an absolute unreality.

This is the first step that many people make the mistake when starting their marketing on Facebook and Twitter.

Take a look at big marketers online and you will see that they are all looking for ways to build trust and relationships. There are many way for different companies of doing it, but they do. These companies know that if they want to be successful when they are marketing on Facebook and Twitter, they have to build relationships.

Quite often businesses not knowing how to be successful marketing on Facebook and Twitter do it through other people’s recommendations, getting other people to promote their products as recommendations are always better received as a form of promoting, also that persons contacts trust what is being said. I suggest that you think about this for your business.

It may seem difficult but from my experience essential. To build your twitter list I suggest that you connect with other people through similar company contacts follow them and comment on their posts.

When marketing on Facebook and Twitter find companies and people with the same interests as you look for ones that may have a problem that you can fix. By being a person with a solution to a problem in respect of your product and or service shows your experience and knowledge and assists you in being the higher authority and you are 99% there to getting a new client/partner.

The next step is to bring them over to Facebook.

Suggest them to connect with you through your Facebook page. On your Facebook profile or page is where they get to see whether you are a person and company they can trust and get along with. They will do this by through looking at your photos and videos and reading your wall, so make sure your page is professional and don’t put anything up that may be offensive or you don’t want others to read.

Marketing on Facebook and Twitter and being successful doing this does not come overnight, but it will come when you have a path to follow and other people who can show you through their success, especially if they are in the same business or industry you are in.
