Legitimate work at home jobs seem to be the ideal solution for all types of work-related woes. You get to set your own hours, do work you enjoy, and don't have to put up with the cost or hassle of a commute. Do you telecommute with your current job?  Telecommuting is a great way to begin your legitimate work at home job experience.  Here are some things to help you find the right job to do from the comfort of your own home. The process is simple, and will reveal things about yourself, expectations, and what type of work is best for you.

1. What do you like to do? As long as you are going to be your own boss, you may as well focus on doing something you like, right? So, make a long list of everything you like to do. Don't worry about whether or not they are viable from a business standpoint (you will sort it all out later), just list as many as you can.

2. What don't you like to do? – Make a list of the things you don't like to do. Hopefully the previous list you made is longer. When it comes to business, there are some things that have to be done, but you don't like to do. That's okay, you can always get someone else to take of those tasks for you – hiring an accountant to do your taxes, for example.

3. What are your current skills? – Knowing what you like and don't like to do is only part of the bigger picture. You also need to know what you can do. Think of the skills you use on your current job, but don't forget to include other skills you have. There is no question that you will learn new things along the way, but having some skills when starting out will help immensely.

4. Put it all together. If you've done your homework well, then you can start finding jobs that are a good fit for you personally. The goal is to avoid (or outsource) what you don't like, and to find something you do like and have the skills to do. It may take some digging to find the right one, but it is out there; even if you have to create it your self.

A word of caution: don't fall into the trap of assuming you have to keep doing what you did for a boss. You are working for yourself, and have the chance to not only have a great boss (you), but to have the career of your dreams. How well of a match you make depends on how well you answered the above questions.

Finally, once you start your legitmate work at home job, you may regret not finding that job sooner, but please don't be hard on yourself. What counts is that you are doing it now, and it feels great!

An eBay PowerSeller is simply a person who has a lot of sales and excellent feedback.  For the lowest level eBay PowerSeller, this means an average of $1000 in sales each month for three months. By providing excellent customer service, you can count on customers coming back to see what you are offering. These inexpensive items can include books, craft items, clothing, or anything else that is in high demand. Some sellers also find manufacturers to buy their items in large bulk in order to sell them more profitably. Manufacturers can be found by doing online searches in the categories that you are interested in selling. For example, if you are interested in selling shoes, taking a few days to search out shoe manufacturers may yield you a few options on where to buy your items. Having a business license with a tax ID number makes this process much easier, as most manufacturers will require it before they can sell to you.

Being an eBay PowerSeller doesn’t give you any price breaks on your eBay fees, but it is something that can instill more confidence in you for prospective buyers. This leads to more customers, more sales, and ever higher eBay PowerSeller levels.

A lot of people are hurting for work in today's economy. Either they have lost their jobs, or their pay has been cut in other ways. Whatever the reason, people are looking for different ways to make money at home. But, because money is tight, they need ideas that won't cost a lot of money, or are free to start. If there isn't a lot of knowledge required, then that's a plus, too. Before starting any business, be sure you know your local ordinances about home-based businesses. Here are five simple ways to make money at home legitimately.

1. Tutoring – Were you good at certain subjects in school? If you still have an interest in them, have good organizational skills and patient when explaining things, then being a tutor is a good way to pick up some extra money. And you can tutor all year long. During the school year, students will want to keep their grades up. During the summer, parents will want to keep their kids from getting rusty. Get the word out that you are offering tutoring; mention what subjects and what grade levels you can help. You can charge by the hour or by the session, whichever you prefer.

2. Laundry service – This is one of those services that people really enjoy having. The usual alternative is sending everything to the dry cleaners, and that can get expensive. Of course, if your customers have dry clean only clothes you can take them to the cleaners and add a service fee for doing so. Other than that, you should read and follow any fabric care instructions printed on the labels. Yes, this can be a bit labor intensive for some people, but it's up to you how many people you want to service at any given time. You can charge a flat fee for washing and drying, and extra for ironing and folding (which most customers will take).

3. Detailing automobiles. If you have an eye for "detail" and like cars, then this is a good choice. You simply clean every nook and cranny of the vehicle's interior, and wash the outside. You can add on different services, such as waxing, buffing out small scratches and paint touch up for extra income. Remember, you are dealing with people's cars, so be sure you know what you're doing first. Oh, and you will have to make sure your vehicles are always spotless, as people will look at them to see how good you are at what you do.

4. Child care – If you like kids and can put up with their shenanigans, then child care can add a nice chunk of change to your bank account. Again, make sure you know the laws in your area. Many jurisdictions have a limit as to how many kids you can watch before you need a license. You can get a license if you want, but be aware that you will have to follow a lot of rules. Of course, having that license means you will be able to charge more, too.

5. Computer help – You don't have to know everything about computers to be able to help people with basic computer problems. If you can do relatively simple things like back-up files, transfer photos, install software or defragment a hard drive, then you will have plenty of customers looking to use your services. When you run up against a problem that is beyond your ability you can refer your customers to a local computer shop. Be sure to set up an arrangement with the computer shop for any referrals you send their way.

The above ways to make money at home are only a few of the options available to you. Whatever your reasons are for wanting to earn extra money, you can do it. The best part is that you don't need a lot of money or skill to get started.
