So today we’ve all turned one!

A year ago today we were simply a dream, an idea, a belief that regular people coming together could truly change the world… and we have! In the past 365 days we have helped build 28 new homes for flood victims in Pakistan. We have also responded to tragedy at home by sending nearly $6,000 to the tornado victims in Joplin, MO!

We are pretty darn proud of ya’ll, but we know that there are still ENORMOUS needs in this world and we’re committed to doing all we can to make a difference!

So THANK YOU for one amazing year, and let’s carry this momentum into the next 365 days!

With your help, World Aid Now has sent 1,200 tarps, and is funding 23 new homes for the victims of the Pakistani floods. For this amazing achievement, World Aid Now and I wanted to sincerely thank each and every one of you who has supported us through donating, following us on social media sites, and helping spread the news of World Aid Now to family and friends. Looking into the future, we see our efforts continually directed towards the recovering victims in Pakistan, that is not to say however, that we are not aware of and making efforts to provide relief to all the unfortunate victims affected by the catastrophic earthquake and resulting tsunami.

One of the attributes that makes World Aid Now so effective in ensuring 100% of public donations go towards relief efforts, is also one of the reasons we have yet to organize a plan of action to support the relief efforts in Japan. Being a smaller organization, which has allowed us to streamline operations for maximum financial impact, has also limited us in our ability to interact with vital relief leaders in the affected areas. In order to provide a more comprehensive picture of our efforts, World Aid Now has abstained from commenting prematurely on our efforts, but we are now proud to say that we are currently in contact with supporters of disaster relief in Japan to find ways in which we can provide aid. In the meantime, we encourage you to please visit redcross.org to help alleviate any immediate vital needs of the disaster victims.

As World Aid Now progresses, our focus will remain on the Pakistani flood victims, as we have made direct and tangible contributions thus far, but efforts will continually be made to develop a relationship with relief workers in Japan towards the establishment of projects which will provide the necessary support for expedited recovery. Again, World Aid Now and I would like to thank all of you for your current and continued support of our present and future projects in Pakistan and beyond.

Thank you,

Raymond Cheung
President, World Aid Now

Last week we launched a 5 Day, 5 Home Push to try to raise enough money to help 5 families that lost everything in the Pakistan flood rebuild their homes. It was an ambitious goal, but as we expected, YOU came though in a BIG WAY! As of Sunday night we raised enough funds to not only help 5 families, but we surpassed our goal and will be able to help a 6th!

On behalf of all of us here at World Aid Now and more importantly the families that will be given a fresh start and regain some of what they lost, THANK YOU!

Remember…

Every dollar of public donations goes DIRECTLY towards relief efforts. This allows for the greatest amount of possible good to be done with every donation. Our current project of helping families rebuild their homes also has a secondary benefit to the local economies, as all of the materials are sourced directly in the immediate communities!

We believe that together we can change that world; thank you for proving us right this past week! May we continue to push forward for the hurting people of Pakistan that just about the whole world has forgotten!

This week we are making a push to raise enough money to help build 5 homes for families made homeless by the floods in Pakistan! To do this we need to raise $510, and we are really going to need your help to make this happen! There are 2 major things we need from YOU. First, we need you to tell your friends! This means helping promote on Facebook, Twitter and even in person (what a concept!). Next, the obvious, we need donations! Every little bit helps! Even if you can only give $5 it will help us build a new home for a family that has lost everything!

This campaign is going to launch TOMORROW (although we’re always accepting donations!) and go until Sunday night!

Change 5 families’ lives
