We are all looking forward to the first signs of spring. The grass is brown, the trees are bare and there is still a chill in the air. But when we see buds beginning to appear on the limbs of the trees and the little purple and lavender blooms of the crocus, pushing up, sometimes through the snow, we are encouraged that the earth will live again and sing praises to the Creator of Heaven and earth.

This cycle repeats itself every year and every year we are grateful that winter is ending and spring is about to explode on the scene with all it’s brilliant colors of greens, pinks, yellows, purples and reds.

Our lives sometimes have similar cycles. We endure seasons of time when there seems to be no hope, no future, but in a moment of time we see a glimmer of light when we remember that God loves us and has our best interest at heart. When we draw in a deep breath and release the season into His hands, rely upon Him and allow Him to lift the burden, spring begins in our soul.

Are you experiencing a bleak, winter-like season today? So many are in this economy, this culture, but you can take comfort in the knowledge that today is not forever.

The Word teaches us that what we suffer now does not compare to the glory we will enjoy some day.

Jesus tells us to come to Him and cast our cares upon Him and He will give us rest. Our hope is in Him alone and our confidence is He will never leave us or forsake us but will be with us through the darkest hours. We must, however, give Him the burden, the heartache, and trust at the conclusion of it all, it will be okay.

Even in the darkest of seasons, there is no turning back for, what lies behind is what brought us to this hour.

Just as spring follows the cold, chilly weeks of winter, God will bring relief into our life again, if we will only trust Him with it all.

Here is our promise: Jesus said, “Whosoever drinks of the Water I give him, shall never thirst. For the Water I give him shall be in him a well of water springing up to everlasting life.” (John 4:14)

Be raised up today….. God will deliver you.
