Contrary to what you probably think, staying fit while on the road is actually super easy – as long as you’re properly organized. Of course, there are a few tricks you should know about, so be sure to keep on reading and find out how to remain in good shape while traveling. Here are five useful tips on how to make that happen, so check them out and accomplish your fitness goals no matter what!

Remember to bring your favorite gym outfits and equipment

The first and one of the most important things you shouldn’t forget is your workout equipment, including your favorite outfits, which will motivate you to work out while on the road. A jump rope, resistance bands, and slider discs are quite useful yet very compact at the same time, which means that they won’t take up too much space in your luggage. The same goes for your tank top, comfy leggings, and a pair of gym shoes that should be packed at the top of your suitcase, so that you can spot them as soon as you open it.

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: block; text-align: center;" data-ad-layout="in-article" data-ad-format="fluid" data-ad-client="ca-pub-8638196799592034" data-ad-slot="2923750893"></ins>

Try to eat as healthy as you can

Yes, we know that trying out the local dishes is an absolute must when in a foreign country, but you should definitely be careful with your calorie intake as it can easily go through the roof. This is particularly important when it comes to unhealthy snacks you’ve never tried before, so be sure to cut down on these and buy healthy organic food online instead. There are a lot of fantastic options that will keep you full throughout the day, so do your research and keep your meals and snacks fresh and nutritious – even when you’re traveling!

Prioritize your workouts

Prioritizing your workouts is another essential step you should take, no matter how tired you are. This is crucial if you’re on a short business trip and don’t want to skip your sweat sessions, so come up with a plan in advance and you’ll be more than fine. Morning workouts are always a good thing, but you should certainly tailor them according to your schedule. Besides that, you can also use different apps to keep your fitness routine on track and accomplish your daily fitness goals.

Get hydrated and don’t skip breakfast

A lot of experts claim that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and you know what? They’re absolutely right! A well-balanced breakfast will boost your metabolism and provide you with enough energy for the rest of the day, which is vital when you’re on the road. Apart from that, you should also drink enough water on a daily basis, as dehydration is quite common while traveling. It will keep you full, hydrated, and away from drinking bad things like soda, so be sure to always have a water bottle in your backpack.

Use what you already have at your disposal

When you’re far away from home, try not to overcomplicate things, and learn to work with what you already have. Business trips usually imply traveling light, which means that you won’t be able to bring your weights or other heavy equipment. This is exactly why you should be flexible and try out bodyweight exercises such as pushups or crunches that can be done in the comfort of your hotel room. Besides these, you should also take the stairs whenever possible – it’s definitely the harder way, but it’s totally worth it!

As you can see, there are a lot of ways to stay fit and healthy while traveling, so make sure to stick to our tips if you want to make that happen. All you have to do is to follow our guidelines and you’ll see that good things will start coming your way shortly!

hether you are driving from down south, or you flew in using Canada ETA visa and you decided to enjoy some sightseeing with a rewarding road trip south, you will desire to have a smooth crossing at the Canadian borders. It will always be true unless you give the officers manning the borders a reason to doubt you. However, if you are polite, law-abiding and do exactly what you are expected to do, the crossing should not come with any drama. Presented here are a few tips you can use to ensure you cross quietly and smoothly and in a manner that will leave both the officers and you smiling.

Have proper identification documents

Every visitor to Canada must have a passport or an equivalent document for the purposes of identification. Only children may be the only exception to this rule, but only under certain circumstances. Without the proper identification, don’t expect to go past the borders. You will be stopped and turned back to get the proper identification papers. And don’t try to resist or insist on going past the borders if you don’t have a passport or a passport-equivalent.

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: block; text-align: center;" data-ad-layout="in-article" data-ad-format="fluid" data-ad-client="ca-pub-8638196799592034" data-ad-slot="2923750893"></ins>

Expect to address the border officers

If you are driving on your own car, have your paper ready to give the border officers upon request. Don’t dilly dally when asked about them or pretend that it is when you are looking for them. Because of time and because there are many people behind you, the office may pull you over and let you wait as you search for your documents. Trust me, you don’t want being pulled aside by the border officers.

If you are using public transport, then be sure to pass over your identification documents to the driver so that he can have them ready when he will be requested for them. Once that is done, whether in a private car or a public bus, be sure to take off your sunglasses, switch off the radio as well as your cell phone. None of these should be done when you arrive at the booth.

If you are traveling with kids, not yours, have a note for them

If you are traveling over the Canadian border with children who are not your kids, be sure to have a note written by either their parents or legal guardians showing that you have been given the permission to cross the border with them. The note should contain the name as well as the contact information of the parents or the legal guardian. Even if you are with kids who are your own, but not with the other parent, you must have a note from the other parent saying that you have permission to leave the country with the kids.

Know what is allowed and what is prohibited into the country

Are you wondering if you can cross the Canadian border with alcohol, pets, tobacco, rifles, or boats? Well, just like any other country, there is stuff allowed and prohibited into Canada. Before you make it to the border’s office, be sure you are well informed of what you can carry into the carry and up to what quantities are allowed.

Carrying prohibited things may delay the process and you may even find yourself being arrested or being denied entry if you can’t give convincing reasons why you want to cross the border with those particular items. Besides, use common sense to know what you can or you may not carry into the country. If it is legal in Canada, then you can’t bring it in. if also you are bringing it in large quantities, you may be taxed for it because there are chances that you will be selling them.

Be ready with your car registration

Cross-border car theft is real and very rampant in Canada. Besides, the border officials are always on the lookout for stolen cars attempting to cross the border as well as people attempting to avoid duties for the cars purchased in the country. The only way the border officers will give you the go ahead if you have a personal car is to give them the registration documents so that they can ascertain that the car is clean. If you can’t give the registration of the car, you will give them a good ground to turn you back or impound the car and even arrest you.

Check and know what is in your trunk

You should know every item in the trunk of your car and you should avoid having useless things that make the border officials start asking unnecessary questions. Ideally, it is recommended that you should remove everything from the car’s trunk, save for your luggage and essential safety items.

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: block; text-align: center;" data-ad-layout="in-article" data-ad-format="fluid" data-ad-client="ca-pub-8638196799592034" data-ad-slot="2923750893"></ins>

Be prepared to respond correctly questions

The border officers may choose to ask you a few questions as they see necessary, and you have a duty to give truthful responses to those questions. The common questions include how long you will be staying in the country, your reason for travel, and the address of your destination. You should be very clear with your responses and not appear as if you are faltering or not sure of the answers. Any reasonable doubt on your part is enough for them to deny you entry into the country.

Have all the relevant receipts ready

If you have made some purchases on the other side and you wish to cross with them into the United States, be sure to have their receipts ready. By this time you should know what is allowed and not allowed into the country and you should also know the limits for items such as liquor, gifts, and tobacco amongst others.

Roll down both the front and the back windows of your car

When you approach the border services booth, be sure to roll down both the front and the front windows to enable the border officers to see the inside of the car. The officers are at liberty to speak with the driver and anyone else in the car, and you should facilitate this by rolling down all the windows.

The Golden Age of Europe’s royal houses may be long over, but the Old-World resorts where the continent’s aristocracy holidayed still cling to a fin de siècle grandeur. A new report from the editors at Internationalliving.com/au point to three spots where urban luxuries can still be enjoyed as fine as the enticing, sandy beaches and sophisticated culture.

Biarritz, France

Biarritz, on the southwest French coast, has attracted European royalty and jet-setters ever since Napoleon III and his Spanish-born empress, Eugénie, built a palace there in 1854. Other European royalty soon came to visit, as did jet-setting tycoons.

Biarritz is France’s chic beach playground on the Bay of Biscay, on the Atlantic coast near the border with Spain. The town itself is a mix of Belle Époque and art deco architecture, a legacy of its long-time status as holiday hot-spot for France’s rich and famous.

On average, Biarritz gets around 170 days of sunshine annually. Spring rainfall is still plentiful, but summers are more likely to be warm and dry and sunny days are usual throughout the autumn.

The seaside resort was made famous by the Empress Eugenie, who attracted fashionable clientele to the resort. Queen Victoria and Edward VII, among others, slept in Eugenie’s villa, now the Hôtel du Palais.

Napoleon’s palace was converted into the luxury Hôtel du Palais and today you can make yourself at home there. Stroll the seaside boardwalk that follows the curve of La Grande Plage, Biarritz’s largest beach or curl your toes in its golden sand. The town’s many outdoor cafés are the perfect place for an après-beach drink.

San Sebastián, Spain

Head south just 38 kilometres, across the border into Spain to San Sebastián. Taking a leaf from Eugénie’s book, Spain’s Queen Isabella began summering here soon after Biarritz became popular.

The Spanish nobility followed suit and built lavish summer homes here.

This jewel of the Spanish Basque Country has been a famed resort since the mid-1800s. Known as “Donostia” in Basque, San Sebastián boasts what is arguably one of the world’s most beautiful urban beachfronts. Here golden-sand beaches like Playa de la Concha, with its long promenade, deliver a feast for the eyes.

From the seaside promenade, or paseo marítimo, the beach opens out in a perfect crescent-moon curve to embrace the blue Atlantic. Scattered sail boats, moored about 30 metres out from shore, bob gently in the current. West of the beach, rolling green hills tumble to the sea. To the east lies verdant Monte Urgull, ringed by a stone sea wall and weather-beaten buildings. In the centre of the bay, the green island of Santa Clara.

Equally beautiful is the city itself. Today San Sebastián is a delight, with frothy Belle Époque buildings, enticing outdoor cafés and upscale boutiques.

But at least as famous is San Sebastián’s food. Half of Spain’s three-star Michelin restaurants are to be found in this city, the high temple of Basque cuisine. A round of tapas in its many bars, either before or after the beach, is not to be missed.

Mafra, Portugal

In Mafra, among streets planted with yellow and purple pansies, pink and white camellias and bright red geraniums, walk in the footsteps of royalty.

The cozy town of Mafra is located 33 kilometres northwest of Lisbon and 15 minutes from world-class surfing beaches in Ericeira, Portugal. It is a low-key place of white-washed houses trimmed in yellow and blue, lining narrow cobbled streets.

King João V vowed to build a small convent in Mafra if his wife, Maria Ana of Austria, gave him a child. Construction began after the birth of their first daughter in 1717. The convent would eventually hold more than 300 friars. The basilica, modelled after St. Peter’s in Rome, was fitted with six pipe organs and a palace of 1,200 rooms was built. The magnificent O Convento, as it’s referred to, is the heart of Mafra. The palace is a must for history buffs; its artefacts include over 30,000 leather-bound books in the library. Entrance is free on the first Sunday of each month.

Next to the palace, the Jardim do Cerco—expansive park grounds once strolled by members of the Portuguese court—is home to a bird sanctuary, fountain, playground and the Festival do Pão. The name means “Bread Festival,” but live entertainment, dancing and the sale of handicrafts and local wines makes this a major annual event each July.

Less than eight kilometres from town is the Tapada de Mafra. Established by King João V in 1747 on 3,000 acres, this forested area served as the royal hunting grounds for centuries. Today you can do an eight-kilometre run on all terrain or stroll (free or with a guide) through the Enchanted Forest. Through it all, owls and eagles can be seen, red and fallow deer, mongooses, wild boar and more.

Thirty minutes from Lisbon Airport by car, the town can also be reached by bus from Lisbon.

For many of us, Iceland must be nothing but a land of unending white sheets of ice and frosty cold weather. However, this is not the case. Portraying it just as a land of ice would be an unfair representation of the territory.

Iceland is a country of sharp contrasts, defined with dramatic landscapes. It is a place where summer’s midnight sun offsets the dark winters. Or should we describe it as an off-worldly place where fire and ice coexist? Whenever it comes to describing the magical aura of this enchanting country, we fall short of words. Yet we have tried our best!

Scroll down to find out the top things that make Iceland a hauntingly beautiful place on earth.

Nature displays miraculous performances

Fabricate a thought of having dinner and going to bed while the sun still shines bright right outside your window. Yes, it can happen!

Being located in the Northern Hemisphere, just below the Arctic Circle, nature demonstrates some surprisingly wonderful activities in Iceland and of those activities one is midnight Sun. During summers, i.e. from mid-May to late July, sun refuses to set and when it sets in midnight, it spreads multicoloured dancing lights – ‘The Northern Lights’.

Landscapes change at the blink of an eye

From ice to greens, from waterfalls to volcanoes and from highlands to nature baths this surreal place offers a range of diversified landscapes.

Travel freaks find this place as a destination with the most exclusive landforms of the world. Isn’t it surprising how the land of snow and ice has a number of hot springs like Blue Lagoon and Steam Valley? And the scenic beauties of the state, while riding a jeep ride through the Lava Fields of Brennisteinsfjoll are capable of mesmerizing anyone.

Waterfalls plan your trip to fairyland

No, you can’t dare to question the charm of mesmerizing waterfalls of Iceland! The sight of each waterfall of the country is jaw-dropping.

The waterfalls here are not less than paradise on earth. Surrounded by a number of natural landforms like glaciers, basalt caves, rift valleys, lava rocks etc, each and every waterfall in Iceland, ranging from small to powerful, is unique in itself. The Svartifoss Waterfall is a major highlight amongst all other waterfalls of this area.

Mountains resemble an artist’s colour palette

All things on this planet are beautiful but, some of them are divine and of those divine things one that captivates every heart is ‘the mountains and cliffs of Iceland’.

Enjoying snow-clad peaks, walking through lush green hills or trekking in rocky mountains, whatever may be your choice, Iceland has for you. One of those hills which is the most popular tourist destination is multicoloured hills ‘Landmannalaugar’. Pink, green, yellow, purple, black, brown and white, it has nearly every colour; just add the colour of love for it!

Volcanoes make you walk through the core of Earth

This land of fire and ice has countless active volcanoes. Scared? Well, don’t! The chances of an eruption on your trip are next to zero.

For several thousands of years, volcanoes have been creating a number of artistic landforms especially Þríhnúkagígur volcano which offers an excursion under the volcano. It provides a thrilling tour by allowing visitors to descend 128 meters deep into a cold heart of the dormant volcano in order to discover the natural artwork on its stained walls.

Crystal ice caves take you to another planet

Ever dreamt of wandering on the surface of an icy planet like that of Uranus or Neptune, but seems next to impossible? Well, you can go to Iceland to make your dream come true!

Glaciers, igloos and mesmerizing ice caves do real justice to the name of Iceland. We can bet, you will fall in love with the breathtaking ice caves at first sight. Thought the land has many, yet the prominent one which attracts a number of visitors is at Solheimajokull glacier on the south coast of Iceland.

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: block; text-align: center;" data-ad-layout="in-article" data-ad-format="fluid" data-ad-client="ca-pub-8638196799592034" data-ad-slot="2923750893"></ins><ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: block; text-align: center;" data-ad-layout="in-article" data-ad-format="fluid" data-ad-client="ca-pub-8638196799592034" data-ad-slot="2923750893"></ins>

Get physical

Another thing that will make our Maldivian vacation unforgettable is the water sports. There are so many new sports to learn and perfect, that you’ll return from your adventure buff and super sexy. For instance, learn how to surf, ride a jet ski or sail! If you want something that’s less demanding, hop into a kayak and enjoy the view while gently gliding over the Indian Ocean or learn how to standup paddleboard. Those that really want to get a taste of adrenaline can opt for kitesurfing or book a private speedboat excursion that will really get your blood pumping!

Eat your heart out

People say that the best way to experience a place and get to know its culture is to munch on some local food. Well, while at the Maldives, skip your international resort lunch and try something traditional! Don’t skip on the Maldivian curry with fried spices and coconut milk – it’s really something else. Maldivians also eat a lot of fish and other seafood (well, duh!) with the most popular types being tuna and mackerel. So, if you love some fresh fish, you’ll simply adore the Maldives! Other common ingredients in the traditional cuisine are coconut, taro, breadfruit and all sorts of root veggies. There are also tasty and light deserts mostly made with coconut milk and plenty of fresh tropical fruits for snack and breakfast. You can even have a cooking class and learn to prepare traditional foods yourself!

Stay at a bungalow

Does your dream morning include waking up to an ocean view and the gentle hum of waves and chirping of seabirds? Well, your every day can start like this when you’re staying in one of the private water bungalows! Don’t hesitate to ask your trusted Maldives travel agent for accommodation like that, and you’ll truly experience what it means to live on a tropical island! These amazing bungalows also have a private deck for sunbathing, chilling with a cocktail in hand and just enjoying the moment.

Boost romance

One of the best ways to experience the Maldives is to bring your significant other and share your adventure. The Maldives are a well-known couples destination thanks to their seclusion, luxury, spas, romantic dinners and breathtaking scenery. Couples who vacation in the Maldives, stay together forever!

Experience the hustle and bustle of the capital

Sure, staying at your heavenly resort is enough to have an amazing Maldivian vacation, but if you really want to experience the Maldives, don’t miss a chance to visit Malé—the capital of the country. This urban city is full of different and interesting things to see and explore. Make sure to see the fish market and the beautiful Friday Mosque from the early 18th century.

What? You’re still not on your way to the Maldives? Book a ticket and travel to this tropical paradise today, and you’ll have the time of your life!

An increasing number of Aussies are calling Thailand home. The low cost of living, first class healthcare, great food and rich culture are luring expats in droves. If a move is on the cards but you’re thinking of test-driving a retirement overseas first, Thailand’s Chiang Mai is a great spot to do so.

Numerous festivals and events run throughout the year. Whether it’s the over-the-top Songkran water festival, the beautiful February Flower festival or Chinese New Year, the Thai people certainly know how to party and celebrate.

Here are five times to visit Chiang Mai and one to avoid…

1. Loy Krathong and Yee Ping

Things swing into gear in November with Loy Krathong and Yee Ping. These two important celebrations coincide with the full moon of the twelfth Thai month. Yee Ping is celebrated throughout northern Thailand and everywhere in Chiang Mai you will see colourful lanterns decorating homes, businesses, temples and public spaces.

As part of the festival there are activities including traditional Thai dance shows and the official Yee Ping parade with the beauty pageant for the crowning of Miss Yee Ping. However, the highlight is the one night when the sky is filled with khom loi (sky lanterns). These are released into the skies and symbolise letting go of all ills and misfortunes of the previous year and to bring good luck.

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: block; text-align: center;" data-ad-layout="in-article" data-ad-format="fluid" data-ad-client="ca-pub-8638196799592034" data-ad-slot="2923750893"></ins>

2. Chiang Mai University Graduation

In the middle of January, the Chiang Mai University (CMU) students graduate. CMU is huge and is nestled between the trendy Nimman area and the base of the nearby mountain, Doi Suthep.

CMU’s large campus has its own fleet of electric buses that ferry the students around the campus and compete with the myriad of scooter riding undergraduates. The graduation celebrations are accompanied by areas specially planted out with flowers in full bloom. The graduates and their families happily pose together amongst the tall hollyhocks, sun flowers and cosmos.

3. The Chiang Mai Flower Festival

Not long after graduation, on the first weekend in February, the Chiang Mai Flower Festival swings into gear. Non Buak Hard Public Park inside the old city is transformed with fantastic floral displays, orchid houses, bonsai and all manner of floral arrangements and displays.

The highlight is the parade on the Saturday morning when multitudes of motorised floats make their way around the town. Interspersed between the colourful floats are bands and community groups, many dressed in traditional costumes. The floats are something to behold and represent many facets of Thai life and culture.

4. Chinese New Year

Later in February China Town becomes the focus of attention with Chinese New Year festivities. It is transformed with traditional red lanterns stretching across all the streets surrounding Warorot Market next to the Mae Ping River. Food features heavily during this festival with crowded street markets selling all manner of Thai and Chinese specialities.

A number of stages are also erected throughout the festival area where you can be entertained, day and night, with various performances.

Of course, Chinese New Year would not be complete without crackers and fireworks which all add to the celebratory atmosphere.

5. Songkran

April marks one of the most important events on the Buddhist calendar. April 13th is Thai New Year’s Day, known locally as ‘Songkran’. There are deep religious roots associated with this festival including making merit and visiting local temples with food offerings for the Buddhist monks.

Pouring water on Buddha statues, the young and elderly, represents purification and the washing away of one’s sins and bad luck. Whilst these traditions are still observed it has morphed into an ongoing party through all the streets with locals and tourists alike drenching each other in water. Whether it be via water pistol, super soaker or a plain old bucket, you are not safe from a drenching anywhere during this period. Happily, as it’s one of the hottest times of the year nobody seems to mind and it’s all done in good spirit.

Whereas Hua Hin may celebrate for one day and Bangkok for three days, Chiang Mai is the epicentre for Songkran celebrations that continue for five days. It really is a fun time of the year.

And One to Avoid…

The one time of the year that expats opt for a temporary change of location from Chiang Mai is from late February. This coincides with the start of what is known locally as the “burning / smoky” season. Farmers commence the traditional practice of burning the rice stubble from the previous harvest in preparation for the next growing season where the ash provides excellent fertiliser for the rice paddies. The downside is the smoke impacts upon the air quality and a dingy haze falls, obscuring the city’s views. As a result, many expats choose this time of year to take advantage of the host of low cost travel options in Thailand and jet off to explore pastures new.

Key West is one of the most beautiful and exciting vacation spots in the world. First of all, the weather is pleasant and sunny year round. Next, it presents an amazing variety of diverse attractions. As a result, you’ll never truly exhaust the vacation spots in Key West. Some of the most noteworthy attractions involve the waters surrounding Key West, but you can experience many of them on dry land as well.

By keeping an open mind, taking risks, and exploring the city’s many possibilities, you’ll have a wonderful time vacationing in Key West. Consider these four can’t miss vacations ideas and you’re practically guaranteed to have the trip of a lifetime.

1. Fishing the waters of Key West

The fishing available in Key West is diverse, thrilling, and highly rewarding. The diversity of fishing opportunities means you’ll never experience the same thing twice. It also allows you to target an almost endless variety of exotic species. The available choices depend on location, fishing methods, and the time of year.

You’ll build marvelous memories no matter what type of fishing you do in Key West. In fact, its waters will deliver whatever kind of angling experience you’ve ever desired. First, you’ll enjoy the tranquility of traveling to just the right spots. Then come the hunt and the thrill of the chase. And most importantly of all, you’ll have the time of your life landing some of the fiercest fighting fish in the world, as well as delicious table fish that you can use to make a freshly caught dinner.

With so many possibilities, it can seem like choosing one is a daunting proposition. That’s why it’s best to hire a guide. There are excellent guides all over the city of Key West, but some are better than others. In terms of fishing locations, fishing the many historic wrecks that dot the waters around Key West comes highly recommended.

2. The Key West Bed and Breakfast

In addition to the great fishing, Key West also offers a number of romantic getaways. One of the best of these is the Key West Bed and Breakfast.
3. The Dry Tortugas National Park

Another great Key West vacation spot is The Dry Tortugas National Park. Located 70 miles off the coast of Key West, the Dry Tortugas are a cluster of seven beautiful islands. These islands offer incredible natural beauty, including coral reefs, bird watching, and a dizzying array of marine life. They also contain exquisite white sand beaches that will simultaneously relax and stimulate you. The Dry Tortugas also features a number of fascinating historical landmarks. The most significant is probably Fort Jefferson, which is one of the country’s largest and most important walled forts.

Along with the beautiful shoals and waters that surround them, these islands comprise the Dry Tortugas National Park. Within the park, you’ll find a pair of fascinating Visitor’s Centers, both of which contain wondrous artifacts and an abundance of important information. First, there’s the Garden Key Visitor’s Center. Located within the walls of Fort Jefferson, the Garden Key Visitor’s Center features an in-depth informational movie, provocative exhibits, and souvenir reminders.

Additionally, Dry Tortugas National Park is home to the Florida Keys Eco-Discover Center. This wondrous site offers a peek into the natural habitat of the Florida Keys, including a cross-section of its native plants and animal life. Pay a visit to this lush outdoor center and you’ll take home a heightened awareness of the fragile beauty that’s constantly around you.

4. The Southernmost Beach Resort

With all the exciting nightlife you can experience in Key West, it’s easy to forget the family fun the city has to offer. Fortunately, Key West does offer plenty of child-friendly activities. One of the most appealing spots for this type of experience is the Southernmost Beach Resort. A self-contained paradise, the Southernmost Beach Resort features a number of family attractions.

In addition to the lovely beach that lies at the heart of the resort, there’s also a high-end restaurant, a trio of private pools, and live entertainment. The rooms are spacious, varied, and equipped with all the modern amenities you’ll need. And for those times when you need a break from the children, there are several adults only attractions nearby as well. As you can see, the Southernmost Beach Resort has something for everyone and is suitable for the entire family.

Everything You Need for an Unforgettable Vacation

These four spots are excellent starting points, but they represent only a fraction of the vacation opportunities in Key West. A few hours in this stunning city is all it takes to discover the wonders of this laid-back tropical paradise. This is what makes Key West such a popular vacation destination and why you should consider it for your next refreshing getaway.

A thirst for exploration and an open mind are the only things you’ll really need to have an unforgettable vacation in Key West. Do yourself a favor and take a trip down to this southern paradise. You’ll definitely be glad you did.

If you are the kind of person who has to do work while traveling, then you are aware of the fact that your product can take a dip south and this may affect your overall work. Traveling can actually slow you down on your tasks, but this doesn’t always have to be the case. It is possible to get the most out of your travel, while also you give your work your maximum. It calls for striking a good balance between the two and treating both of them as important aspects of your life. If you are intending to go for a trip and you know very well that you will have to continue with your work during the trip, here are a few tips you can use to stay productive while you globe trot-:

Travel slow

The first tip to stay focused and productive as you travel is to slow down your pace. As you move from one destination to another, exhaustion is bound to set in and when you are tired and fatigued, there is no meaningful work you can do. Make it a habit of spending as much time as you possibly can in each destination so that you can rest, recharge and regain the focus you need to stay productive. Don’t behave like a typical backpacker who would like to explore entire towns in just a matter of hours.

Get your internet right from the start

You will require internet if you are to work while traveling. While it is a great thing to be able to travel and work at the same time, poor internet connection can be real turn off most of the times. Not all countries may enjoy the kinds of internet speeds you enjoy at home, and for you to enjoy uninterrupted workflows, you should plan on getting a very good plan in the destinations you are headed. The best approach is to use your smartphone for setting up the internet connection and so what you will need will just be a SIM card for the network in that country. Take time to research the best internet service providers with good speeds as well as wider coverage in that country.

Take advantage of co-working spaces

If you are in a major city and you have a couple of days to spare, you can always take advantage of co-working spaces to catch up on your work. The good news with such facilities is that they are always available and all you need to do is do a little search on the internet and you will have a number of options. They provide you with some kind of office environment, with good internet connections. They are never that strict and you can always work in a relaxed, but very productive manner. Besides, they are affordable and will always be cheaper than renting your own office.

Be wise with your choice of workplace

In as much as you may have access to great co-workspaces in the cities you will be visiting, it is not guaranteed that all of them will be suitable for your needs and will give you the joy to remain focused and productive at work. You have to do due diligence and book the spaces after surveying and determining that they are indeed the right place for you. For example, you wouldn’t remain productive if you have to work from some dingy place downtown with lots of noise coming from the outside. Again, if you need a reliable internet connection, you won’t find it pleasing to work from a place with speeds akin to the deprecated dial-up connections. It may mean that you may pay slightly higher for space, but if it will allow you to tap into your full productivity, then you have every reason to consider them.

Work early in the morning

Whether or not you are a morning person, you should strive to work early in the morning if you want to maintain your focus and remain productive during your trip. The reason for this is because you will always have a myriad of activities lined up during the day, and you don’t want to go through your exploration while thinking about the work you will have to do when you come back. Doing your work early in the morning will grant you the peace of mind to go out without feeling the guilt of not having done much or worrying that you may not be able to do your job effectively when you get back after exploration.

Eat well and stay hydrated

This sounds obvious, but it is something that most people ignore when they are traveling and they have to work. Some of them usually get engrossed with work in a bid to clear as much ground as they possibly can so that they can have ample time to tour around and in the process, they forget to eat and stay hydrated. When you fail to eat well and stay hydrated, exhaustion and fatigue might creep in and these will without a doubt hamper your effectiveness. Therefore, strive to eat healthily and drink lots of water to avoid the hunger and maintain the focus you desire.

Learn to say NO, especially to yourself

Travelling will expose to lots of wonderful people and opportunities you will desire to explore to the fullest. However, when you went for renew my passport and you know very well that you will be working during the trip, you must learn to say NO, not just to others, but beginning with yourself. There are times you may travel with a group and the temptation to go out partying till dawn may be very strong, but since you have some work to do, don’t shy away from turning away such offers. The same is also the case with any offers that might be thrown your way by some of the friends you will make during the trip. If you have to give in to their demands, then work out your work schedule in a way that you will do what you need to do before you let others take away your valuable work time.
