To start off the 2013 conference season is Louie Giglio's Passion 2013. Held at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, it will run from 14 January. Giglio aims this gathering specifically at young people, and according to the event's website, last year saw "more than 40,000 students and leaders from around the world" at the US event. Today The Christian Post reports that 60,000 students are scheduled to attend this week's event.

Mostly with Democratic votes, the Republican-controlled House of Representatives on Tuesday voted for what the Obama Administration said [1] was "the most progressive income tax code in decades." It was Karl Marx who called for a "heavy progressive or graduated income tax" system in order to redistribute the wealth and establish a socialist state.

Hobby Lobby and the Beginning of the End

The fight between Hobby Lobby and the U.S. Government portends difficult days ahead for people of faith. If you are not aware, Hobby Lobby has chosen to defy the new U.S. Government mandate that requires companies like Hobby Lobby to provide "emergency contraceptives" to their employees through their company-provided health insurance. The owners of Hobby Lobby, operating out of Christian convictions, refuse to provide "the morning-after pill" and other "contraceptives" that abort unborn children medically. By defying the Obama-inspired government mandate, the company is in danger of being fined over $1 million every day.

As I write this article, politicians on both sides of the aisle are deadlocked in debate over how to fix the so-called ¡°Fiscal Cliff,¡± which they themselves created. The cliff, in short, is a combination of higher taxes and lower government spending set to automatically kick in beginning January 1, 2013.

Why does it seem like America is getting crazier with each passing year? It has become glaringly apparent that very deep corruption has taken root in our society from the lowest levels of society all the way up to the highest levels of society. In fact, some of the worst behavior of all is being exhibited by those that are supposed to be "examples" for our young people politicians, bankers, lawyers, CEOs, etc. As we enter 2013, the American people are greedy, selfish, boastful, proud, arrogant, disrespectful, ungrateful, materialistic, unforgiving, without self-control and they are completely and totally addicted to entertainment. They believe that America will always be "the greatest nation on earth" just because of who we are, and they believe that the rest of the world should look up to us as a bright, shining example of everything that is good in the world. Meanwhile, we lead the world in a large number of negative categories and our society is decaying right in front of our eyes. It reminds me of what happened during the waning days of the Roman Empire. The Romans just assumed that Rome would always be dominant forever, and they became extremely complacent and extraordinarily decadent. We all know how that turned out, and at this point things are not looking good for America either

A Massive Electromagnetic Pulse Could Collapse The Economy In A Single Moment

What would you do if all the lights went out and they never came back on? That is a question that the new NBC series "Revolution" asks, but most people have no idea that a similar thing could happen in real life at any moment. A single gigantic electromagnetic pulse over the central United States could potentially fry most of the electronics from coast to coast if it was powerful enough. This could occur in a couple of different ways. If a powerful nuclear weapon was exploded at a high enough altitude, it could produce an electromagnetic pulse powerful enough to knock out electronics all over the country. Alternatively, a massive solar storm could potentially cause a similar phenomenon to happen just about anywhere on the planet without much warning. Of course not all EMP events are created equal. An electromagnetic pulse can range from a minor inconvenience to a civilization-killing event. It just depends on how powerful it is. But in the worst case scenario, we could be facing a situation where our electrical grids have been fried, there is no heat for our homes, our computers don't work, the Internet does not work, our cell phones do not work, there are no more banking records, nobody can use credit cards anymore, hospitals are unable to function, nobody can pump gas, and supermarkets cannot operate because there is no power and no refrigeration. Basically, we would witness the complete and total collapse of the economy. According to a government commission that looked into these things, approximately two-thirds of the U.S. population would die from starvation, disease and societal chaos within one year of a massive EMP attack. It would be a disaster unlike anything we have ever seen before in U.S. history.

BioLogos and a Shocking Perversion of Scripture

As we start the new year and consider what the ministry of AiG can do (as God blesses) to reclaim biblical authority in America (and other nations), I think of the biblical compromise that still runs rampant in the church. Here is another example:

We are living in very uncertain times but we have the certainty of God's Word, His promises, His love, His Grace and His sacrificial death, burial and resurrection. I rejoice and take comfort in Him who is our Blessed Hope. Because of these things which I know to be true; I pray that in 2013 the ministry of the Worldview Weekend Foundation will serve to strengthen you and encourage you as together we labor in the defense of the faith and proclamation of the Biblical gospel.

Post 2012 Election Reflections

With President Obama's re-election, over the next 4 years he will face a national and global economy that will be collapsing. That takes care of what will happen in our future. But, you may ask, what will happen next under President Obama? Concerning foreign affairs, in the near future, watch for an important secretly launched military action with specially trained American personnel, who will have a lot of help (including from Israel). It will occur somewhere in the general region from South Asia (Pakistan and Afghanistan) to Iran and the Middle or Near East (including Yemen) over to North Africa (Libya). It may involve the revolution in Syria where the Assad government is backed by the Shiites in Iran and Shiite leaders in Iraq. They are opposed by the Sunnis in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey And if Syria attacks Turkey, a member of NATO, that could bring direct military action by the U.S., also a member of NATO. The Obama administration will call the operation successful, but it will result in some (manageable) international criticism. Obama's Muslim background will help temper/ease the criticism.
