Although this time is not the Nokia Lumia 900 but the HTC Trophy, it’s clear that Windows Phone devices have received the best user rating thus far and that both systems seem to converge over the same idea.

Apple has already tuned the algorithm behind the Siri so to avoid promoting Windows Phone and we bet that Samsung will soon follow on their footsteps.

Verizon’s HTC Trophy Windows Phone appears to have the best customer ratings on Best Buy and S-Voice seems to pull results based on those reports.

We all agree that Windows Phones are the pretty awesome and it’s great to see that both Apple and Samsung (though inadvertently) have admitted to that.

We don’t know exactly where Samsung’s S-Voice is heading, but we assume that they’re trying to take on Siri so that users would have a something to choose from in case they’re not all that sold on iPhones.

The latest in the long line of analysts predicts that if Facebook were to succeed in coming up with a branded device, they should acquire Nokia.

In its current state, the Finnish OEM manufacturer isn’t shining as bright as it used too especially since they’ve taken on Microsoft’s Windows Phone mobile OS platform.

Of course, saying that they’d want to sell to Facebook is a bold claim and Paul Amsellem, managing director of Mobile Network Group, is risking a lot by saying this.

“Facebook will launch the FacePhone. And whether it has a blue color and a logo with a big F on it, it will definitely be disruptive. Even at this moment, Facebook doesn’t know what it will look like, but they need to do it. Facebook needs somebody with an understanding of networking, technology, carrier relationships and logistics. They can acquire one of these two players [Nokia / RIM] for not a lot of money.”

Either he knows something that we don’t or he’s just looking for some media attention, the sheer though that Facebook could be bidding for Nokia is a bit frightening because Windows Phone will suffer a massive blow.

We doubt that Microsoft will ever allow this to happen and they’ll probably counter by making a bit of their own.

Nokia has made it clear that they’re working on releasing an entire line of colored Lumia 900, amongst which the magenta version should be the latest to the show.

So far, not a peep as to what pricing will it be available with, but we do estimate that it will be close to its white counterpart.

As far as hardware specs are concerned, the magenta Nokia Lumia 900 will not be any different from anything else that we’ve been seeing. The only difference will lie in the fact that it will be more girlish that ever.

Although Mother’s Day has long since pass and there was no sighting of the magenta-painted handset, we’re left hoping that we’ll at least see it show up within the next couple of weeks.

We are well aware of the fact that Nokia has been busy in providing all the other handsets and that they’re probably ditching the magenta for a later time, but postponing it indefinitely is not going to get them anywhere.

We really do hope that we’ll see the entire lot surface soon because a snapshot with all of them will look really cool, wouldn’t you agree?

All handsets packing 256 MB RAM are not able to sport a quarter of the available marketplace apps because not all developers have thought to update their work to the more recent standards.

While this is not exactly a huge tragedy, it does however emphasizes that it’s going to take a while before all current Windows Phone apps will be updated to the new standard.

With Microsoft constantly pushing developers to use the Windows Phone 7.1.1 SDK to test their apps for Tango compatibility, it would seem that most app developers are slacking around.

We can’t say for sure if Microsoft will figure out a way to push the app update process, but we do agree that Tango devices sales will probably be somewhat affected by this shortcoming.

The same study shows that 0.8% of all new apps don’t run on 256 MB RAM devices, meaning that a bunch of developers still prefer to code for high-end Windows Phone smartphones rather than for the low-end market.

As long as Microsoft continues to promote low-end Windows Phone handsets, we assume that future stats will reflect an increase (or at least the consistency of the currently available statistic) in Tango-compatible apps.

According to Yusuf Mehdi, Chief Marketing Officer of Interactive Entertainment Division at Microsoft, a lot of people are actually watching videos and trailers through Xbox rather than using Zune.

As such, Microsoft will completely shut down Zune and concentrate all their efforts into the Xbox entertainment service.

The guys from Phones4U have finally revealed an actual release date (June 1st) and a price tag that will be accompanying the device: £599.95 SIM free and starting £31 a month with carrier subscription.

Codenamed the Nokia Lumia Evolution, this Apollo handset features a slimmer design than we’re used to and it also comes with a glossy white casing.

As far as hardware features are concerned, there seems to be a 4.5 inch HD screen, 64 GB of internal memory, probably a dual core processor from Qualcomm. A 12 megapixel company with PureView technology might be included in the design as well as NFC, 4G LTE, Bluetooth, and other Wi-Fi technologies.

The overall design is pretty impressive and if we were to ever see this conceptual Nokia Lumia Evolution hit the assembly like we would be really excited about the prospect of owning one.

Of course, with Windows Phone 8 around the corner, Nokia might be working on something that’s probably as impressive as LokiBartleby’s design, but we’ll just have to wait and see.

Such is the case with Windows Phone and Nokia’s Lumia handsets as they seem to have been featured in a clip from Brazilian TV channel Globo, which was about red phone boxes being decommissioned.

In the video, the Nokia Lumia 800 and Windows Phone are being flashed around a couple of times and everyone can clearly see that it’s neither an ordinary device nor an everyday mobile OS.

Nokia has invested a great deal in getting as much media exposure for their handsets as possible and it seems to have finally paid off.

For the price of 299.99 Europ, the Tango handset will become available to all those in Italy first and then a full European campaign will shortly follow.

Packing a 1 GHz processor, 4 GB of storage, 384 RAM, the Samsung Omnia M is a pretty decent Windows Phone handset considering that price tag.

The FCC also reports that if the device were to ship to the US, it will have full support for GSM on the AT&T 850 and 1900 bands but also AT&T HSDPA.

Clearly Samsung is trying to ship the device on a worldwide basis and the fact that it packs the hardware to accommodate all carriers is an indication of their plan.

Although no official launch date has been revealed nor has the name of the first carrier been made public, we estimate that within the next couple of weeks we’ll have our hands on it.

The only think that’s of significance now is whether or not the Windows Phone community will embrace the handset and if it will be a success in Europe.

With big time manufacturers like Samsung, Nokia and HTC being mentioned as currently beta testing Apollo devices, one might think that at least a photo could have leaked to the press.

Apparently, OEMs are doing a great job at keeping their devices secret and the same source claims that Windows Phone 8 smartphones will be revealed this June 20^th.

The only description that seems to have appeared concerning a Windows Phone 8 handset features a device that’s similar to the already available Nokia Lumia 800 and Nokia Lumia 900.

Although this could be the case for Nokia’s Apollo handsets, we can’t wait to see how the other devices will look like.

Samsung and HTC both have some interesting Android designs that will probably be implemented on their upcoming Windows Phone 8 smartphones.

The guys from Nokia seem to be preparing to show off a Batman edition of their latest Lumia Windows Phone device, making it the second collector’s item from their range of Windows Phone handsets.

A custom box and a glossy Batman logo will be included in this limited edition pack, although no availability date or price range have been mentioned thus far.

Of course, you can expect the device to be in limited supply and for those that are willing to spend a bit more than the usual price.

We’ll probably be seeing some unboxing videos as soon as the device hits shelves so we assume we’ll get a better look at it then.

Until then, we’re as excited as you are about the prospect of having a custom made Batman Nokia Lumia 900 out in the wild, because (like ourselves) fans will go nuts over the device.

The guys from Pocket-lint have tested the Lumia 900 alongside the Samsung Galaxy 2, Samsung Galaxy 3, iPhone 4S, HTC One X and Sony Xperia S, and they discovered something interesting.

Taking all the phones for a day at the beach, it seems that the Nokia Lumia 900 was the only one that behaved great under extreme light conditions.

In part because of the simplistic user interface (as the guys call it) and in part because of the ClearBlack Display, the Lumia 900 has proved yet again that it has something that other devices don’t.

Not even the Samsung Galaxy S3 seems to have lived up to its name nor has the HTC One X. With The Lumia 900 once again proven as a top notch Windows Phone handset, it’s obvious that we have to congratulate Nokia as well as Microsoft for pulling off this endeavor.

If future Nokia Lumia Windows Phone device manage to impress much in the same way, then we might even see some increased market share numbers for Windows Phone by the end of 2012.

Although everyone else is selling the handset packed with 16 GB of storage, we can’t say why O2 Germany is selling the device with this small upgrade.

This hardware limitation for other regions doesn’t really make sense if you think about it, because we thought that everyone will be having the same device everyone (apart from the US LTE feature).

These hardware specs seem to have already been confirmed by a O2 representative, turning this into an official 32 GB white Nokia Lumia 900 device.

It will be interesting to see if the same device will be showing up in other regions and with other carriers, but until then we’ll just have to envy the guys in Germany.

Even a photo from a catalogue reveals that the specs are real and that it might be showing up on the O2 official website sometime soon.

When that happens, we’ll keep an eye on the price tag as well because we might see the device being sold for a slightly higher price than usual.

Although we’re not sure how Orange did manage to grab such a huge deal, we pretty convinced that this will significantly boost its sales on the long run.

It’s clear that the guys from Orange Poland are huge fans of Windows Phone and that they’ll continue to support the platform and the devices for as long as they can.

This could be in part because the carrier has registered quite a large number of sales and that their revenue went up significantly after Microsoft launched their new mobile OS.

Orange Poland was among the first that ever implemented the “try before you buy” routine with the HTC Mozard and to the best of our knowledge, the campaign was a smashing hit.

For now long will the exclusivity with Orange will remain for the Lumia 900 we can’t say for now, but we’re sure that a date will surely arise soon.

Those of you in Poland reading this should start saving now because it’s highly probable that the device will become available pretty soon.

Also, if you’re an Orange fan, you’re in luck because they might even have some enticing data plans lined up for the pitch.

All of these games have been featured in the marketplace for quite a while and assume that the reason behind this price drop has something to do with Microsoft’s intent to continuously publicize Windows Phone.

Encouraging the community to start purchasing apps is not a bad idea, and making apps cheaper is definitely the right approach. However, we think that third party developers might not be too excited about the idea that some well-known apps sell for much less than their own apps.

Those of you that failed to purchase the games until now, still have the chance to do so and even get the entire lot while you’re at it.

Some of them have been part of Xbox Live Deals of the Week before and this price drop can be considered your second chance of taking a stab at them.

Microsoft will probably keep up this trend with discounted games and we’ll be right here letting you know about it.
