For those of you following our every move via RSS, we felt it was important to provide you with an update and some form of flimsy excuse as to why we have still not launched yet…

We have been recommended by many to make sure we do not rush things, and ensure that everything is fully-tested prior to an official launch, which is kind of fortunate, for we’re pretty damn busy to tell you the truth…

In addition to the continued development of our top-secret Wordpress MU audio plug-in that we are developing, we have also taken on several other client jobs, which as always, tends to slow down development on our own things, such as…

Suddenly realizing that we needed to add another theme to our list of things to do before launching due to needing a Gallery to use for the showcasing of our themes, which is when we decided to start developing WPMU Gallery.

For more information on the development of our themes, please check-in at the forum.

For all those already supporting the cause, thanks again!

Do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions…

For those that ask about the top-secret plug-in, who knows, we may even let you know what it is or possibly even send you a screen-shot, just to prove it’s real, but don’t hold us to it, for it was far from a promise…

If you experienced some slight technical difficulties today, please note that it was due to upgrading WPMU to 2.7 and also uploading an updated version of gMaps, which now features the Geo-Locator - used to pick-out coordinates for posts.

For another example of what can be achieved from the gMaps theme, Mark set-up a personal geo-blog on the WPMU Premium network here to show you what’s possible with the accounts that you have all registered for…

http://wpmupremium.com/mark/

We are working on the documentation for gMaps and will soon be publishing it.

If anyone has any questions about any of the themes they are presently experimenting with, please drop us at line via our online contact form and we will answer any and all questions…

The majority of these updates have now taken place and should be safe to start playing again, but we must once again stress that this is a work in progress, so please bear with us as we iron out all the kinks - we do not want to start supporting you guys until we are entirely happy with the set-up we will have in place to handle everything!

Thanks again for all you support up to this point and good luck with your respective passions.

A recent turn in events has led to the development of a truly unique Wordpress MU theme. The turn of events was a paying client who specifically requested a Google Map based Wordpress MU theme and who was willing to pay a reduced cost for developing this customised theme in order for us to release it here at a special-rate to our community.

The theme can be seen here - http://klews.net/maps/ - and here - http://wpmupremium.com/mark/ - in all its glory…

Check-out the “more options” and “deep zoom” functionality that’s present within the header of each post and page throughout the site. Just for kicks, look how smooth the roll-over effects are when moving your mouse from “ABOUT” to “HOME” – it’s these kinds of added features that act as the icing on the proverbial cake, for the true power comes from an auto-resizing full-screen map that can be customised in every way imaginable for each post and page used throughout the entire network of blogs that this beast can conjure-up!

WPMU gMaps comes with the following cool features:

Automatically Re-Sized Full-Screen Google Maps

Individually Assigned Map Types (Map, Satellite and Hybrid)

Ability to Assign Different Types for Each Post & Page

Individually Assigned Zoom Levels for Each Post & Page

Geo-Tagged Content with Integrated geoRSS Functionality

Tabulated Information Windows for Single Posts

Drag & Drop Resizable Cookie-Powered Windows for Pages

Deep Zoom Drag & Drop with Customised Controllers

Integrated Administration of Geo-Location Search

Ability to Use Different geoRSS Feeds for Each Page Background

AJAX Powered Drop Down Menu with Widget-Friendly Sidebars

Integrated Popular Posts & Detailed Network Statistic Plug-Ins

Animated Roll-Over Hover-States for Main Navigation

And many more added features…

This theme is only available via an exclusive offer that was suggested to us by those behind the KL News Network (http://klews.net/). the guys are also running a customised version (with hand-crafted mapping and video widgets) of our up-coming WPMU Portlet theme on their homepage, so their feedback regarding our themes and development work in general is very important to us…

They suggested to us that we exclusively provide Unlimited Developer Licenses for a one-time fee of US$ 99, with 25% of the return going back to KLews to help towards the costs for reaching their goals of creating an online portal as good as Yahoo’s, but specifically for Kuala Lumpur…

That’s right…
For only US$ 99; you can use this theme on as many projects as you like,
pull it apart and do whatever you like with the source files and footers!

On top of that, we also thought it would be good for us to be as equally giving and throw-in a 3 month subscription package to our up-coming VIP club for all those who buy this exclusive theme, which is made exclusive by not being available from within the up-coming VIP club or available to anyone once the club opens, as per the suggestions of those that commissioned us to develop the theme in the first place…

We are presently working behind the scenes not only to put the finishing touches on the theme, but to also get our own e-Commerce services set-up. We will be sending out another update very shortly, once our online payment features are completed. If you want to be the first to get your hands on this exclusive theme and cannot handle anticipation very well, you could always send the PayPal payment direct (rather than via a pretty online front-end version of the same thing) and we’ll email you the ZIP files, but for those of a more cautious nature, watch this space for more information…

Or contact us via our online form in order to let us know what you think about the theme or life in general if you’re that desperate to talk to a team of creative Wordpress developers with a somewhat cherry outlook on life…

Thanks again to everyone who wrote back to us after the last post titled “The Status of WPMU Premium” with your support and business, it’s much appreciated and we only hope that we can continue to serve you with future long-term partnerships in the same way we are with KLews – thanks again guys and girls!

For those who are not already subscribed to our RSS feed, we strongly recommend you jump on board and get yourself a feed reader, for life without them really is hard-work…

With curiosity stirring within the WPMU Forums, and subscription to our RSS feeds already in motion, we felt it was only fair to give you all an update as to what’s happening with WPMU Premium and how long you can expect to wait until we officially launch this thing we like to call home…

As pointed-out originally in the forums, we are a group of developers all working day-time jobs, which limits the amount of time we have to develop our own site whilst also supporting our existing group of WPMU Premium Clients, who have hired us to develop several side projects using high-end customisations of our up-coming WPMU Portlet theme, which is already in its beta-testing stages as a live example used for our Wordpress News & Updates site…

The customisations we are doing based upon this theme include a User-Generated Online Radio Broadcasting System (with Integrated Widgetised Players) and a City-Centric News Portal, with integrated Google Maps and inline Audio and Video Playback, so with that and our day-time jobs, it’s taking us a little longer than we expected to develop the customised plug-ins that we need to run our Premium Subscription Services…

As for the FREE theme we are developing, WPMU Coda, the one that is being used for the main WPMU Premium website at the moment, we want to integrate the AJAX powered Theme Switcher that is being used with WPMU Portlet and optimise the code, so please bear with us as we get this work completed. In the meantime, if you have any questions, requests, or simply cannot wait for our Premium Subscription Services to go live, please drop us a line here as a comment or by filling-out our online contact form - either way, it would be a pleasure to hear from you…

It would seem we have somehow avoided the question of when exactly will we launch, but without wanting to build up false hope or break promises, we are hoping to have everything in place and ready to launch by March, at which point, several of us will be working with WPMU Premium full-time, kicking arse and having fun doing so - so please, keep your eyes fixated on this feed for more information as and when we have something interesting enough to share with you…
