NanoJingle-o
by Shannon Cleary

Thought I had a lot to say
Was gonna write a book someday
Now it seems I’ve found a way

Nanowrimo
All the time-o

Now I lay me down to sleep
Counting words instead of sheep
Can’t stop now I’m in too deep

Nanowrimo
All the time-o

Word count’s got me on my knees
My computer wants to freeze
Won’t somebody help me please

Nanowrimo
All the time-o

Think I’m coming round the bend
50,000 words to send
But now I don’t want this to end
Nanowrimo’s my best friend … (pause)

Nanowrimo
All the time-o
Mi-oh-my-oh
Nanowrimo
Say goodbye-o Sayanar-o Hasta lueg-o
Au Revoir-o Auf Wiedersehen-o
Arrivederci-o Aloha and Mahal-o Ciao y Adios-o
Namaste-o (last word is sung a capella, with harmonies, in choir-like
head voices, pure and clear, followed by CHINESE GONG – at very end)

Sound Effects: Clacking of keyboard somewhere to illustrate furious typing, of course! Also, use different sounds to illustrate different that genres have musical cues throughout, such as adventure sounds: Tarzan yell, bugle fanfare, Western sounds, futuristic sounds, fantasy chimes, Dixieland jazz, blues riffs, etc.—you can go wild on this one! International/cultural flavors are illustrated through musical instruments and voices at the end… different languages and accents for different countries and regions worldwide.

MIMI'S NANOWRIMO PEP SONG
By Debbie Ridpath Ohi

Mimi is quite lightheaded,
hyper and so excited
She's signed up for NaNoWriMo
Mimi's novel grew and grew but
things slowed down, it's now Week Two, and
she still has 43,000 words to go.

Mimi calls her friends and cries
about her novel's sad demise,
but they say,

CHORUS:
Keep on writing, don't be a dope!
So what if your novel's under-weighted?
Keep on fighting, you can cope...
Add some footnotes! Annotate it!

Mimi says, "Okay, okay I
won't give up, at least today, and
hey I'll write about my boyfriend Tim" but
Tim he frowned and said a curse 'cuz he
hasn't seen her since November 1st
and wants to know what Mimi wrote about him?

CHORUS:
Keep on writing, don't weep or mope
Food and sleep are over-rated
Keep on fighting, don't give up hope

Show notes for the October 1 Teaser Episode
Warm WrimoRadio shout-outs to: Russ for getting it all set up, Sonali and Tanya for helping out in the WrimoRadio music library, and Chris' upstairs neighbor Michael for not practicing his violin during WrimoRadio recording sessions.
WrimoRadio is made using ProTools LE, a Digidesign Mbox, a Sure SM57 microphone, and a Radio Shack windscreen. Podcasting is easy! Give it a try!
