Those are the words of Tracey Beale, and her words couldn’t be more true. If you haven’t heard of her before now then you’ve been missing out. I first heard of and actually had the pleasure of meeting her a few years back while visiting Houston. She had a table set up inside the now defunct Club Visions where she was making complimentary jewelry on the spot for everyone. Of course, being the jewelry whore that I am, I had to get a piece made for myself - and yes, I still have it.

While browsing her website earlier today, I came across this necklace, made of leather, brass and gold and I love it. It’s definitely screams Victoria, although I’d wear it a little lower on the neck. But that’s just me.

80’s Prom Dress

Okay, so maybe I’m about 7 years past prom age, but this dress definitely caught my eye. If I was about one clothes size smaller, I would be snatching this dress up and wearing it out next weekend. BUT… since I’m not, I guess I can let one of you other girls have it. Or maybe you are prom age and you do need a hot dress to wear to that dance in May. I mean, I know it’s only August, but it’s never to early to start looking. Shrinkle even has one available in the plus size, so go on and get it before someone else does.

Now, let me preface this by saying Ebates is not going to make you rich, not at all. But what does it hurt to get a few dollars cash back for the purchases you make online. And if you’re like me and do most of your shopping online then those dollars will add up. I recently took a trip to L.A for a few days. Normally I just grab one of my pieces of rolling luggage. You know the one… an unsightly shade of green, comes in a set of 3, causes mass confusion at baggage claim because everyone and their cousin has that same unnattractive set of luggage, yeah, that one. Well, this trip I decided to venture out and buy myself a nice weekender bag to take along instead. And not just because I had happened to spy this great Betseyville bag a few days prior while walking through the mall and needed a reason to purchase it, but I needed a nice bag that I could carry onto the plane now that the airlines are charging those ridiculous checked in luggage fees now. Plus, it’ll save me about 30 minutes of my time that was previously spent watching identical luggage go round and round on a conveyer belt while saying to myself “Is that it? No…. Is that it? No.” only to find out that that was it but it’s too late to grab now so I have to wait another 10 minutes while it makes it way around again.

Oh, and there happens to be a 3 pc Cosmetic Set available too. Just a little FYI.
