Things were moderately calm for the last few days. It kind of seemed like dad had stopped the drinking, so that was good. I'm not 100% sure if he's drinking again yet, though I have a suspicion that he might be having a few tonight because he rarely gets ice in a glass unless it's for an alcoholic drink.
And here I thought something good was going to happen. :surrendr:

Anyway... My job today was simple: to tidy up and make sure the tables in the living room were clean again. So I did. I filled an entire shoebox with the things that were my parents' personal items, like unopened mail, nail files, contact storage things, a bottle of contact cleaner stuff... Just a bunch of stuff that didn't belong in the living room (or so I thought?).

In passing as I headed to the kitchen and my dad to the other end of the house I noted that "the uhh..shit on the chair is you guys' stuff that's not s'posed to be in the livingroom."

Apparently that was grounds enough to start a shit storm when I got home from picking up my brother for them. I was on my way into my bedroom when it all went down. Mostly just a flurry of how I'm not to swear (even though my brother who is 17 gets away with being a jackass and screaming wayyyy worse things throughout the house...Racial slurs, anyone?) and apparently I'm not to address my father in that manner, even though I was just talking about stuff that didn't necessarily belong in the living room... Yeah, fun stuff.

Well, I'm pretty sure they blew up at me because my brother's home now, and he was the one to call the cops on my dad. So, let off some steam at the first person who walks by, right? Sounds reasonable enough, especially if they just got done driving her ass out to the other side of town in the pouring rain where it was nearly impossible to fucking see the road because of how much water was on it. Yeahhh, makes perfect sense. Way to be over-sensitive, folks! :sarcasm:

Also, I almost hit like 3 guys walking on the road tonight because I didn't see them. Seriously, if you're going to walk on the road in the dark while it's raining cats and dogs, don't fucking wear all black you dildos. I swear, some people just amaze me with their stupidity. :banghead:

TL;DR for those who are lazy

Think dad's drinking again, got bitched at for swearing and saying that nail files and other assorted items weren't supposed to be in the living room, and I almost ran down 3 idiots wearing black at night during a rainstorm.

My mom, boyfriend, and several friends have all quit smoking because they say the cigarettes taste like shit and they're hacking up a lot of foreign materials.

Have you had any experience with these cigarettes yet? What do you think about them? My mom swears it's the government trying to get people to quit smoking, but considering how much they tax cigarettes, I'm highly doubting that.

I would actually like to write a letter thanking this company; they've caused a significant reduction in my exposure to second hand smoke, which is good because I;m allergic to cig smoke.

Lab-grown penis lets rabbits mate like bunnies

WASHINGTON - Researchers have engineered artificial penises in rabbits, using cells from the animals, who then used their new organs to father baby rabbits.

The work takes scientists closer to making other complex solid organs such as livers using a patient's own cells, the researchers reported in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences on Monday.

It provides a tailor-made transplant, said Dr. Anthony Atala of Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center's Institute for Regenerative Medicine, who led the study.

"Once the tissue is there, the body recognizes the tissue as its own," Atala said in a telephone interview.

Atala focused on the penis because he is a pediatric urologist, who has specialized for years in disorders and congenital defects of the bladder and sexual organs.

"That was the inspiration for this work. We are seeing babies born with deficient genitalia all the time. There are no good options," Atala said.

He is also a specialist in regenerative medicine, which uses the body's own cells to repair damage. In this case, Atala's team used ordinary cells, not the stem cells often used in such research.

Companies such as Geron and privately held Advanced Cell Technology have business models based on such technology.

Atala's team first created a scaffold using the penis of a rabbit, and removed all the living cells from it, leaving only cartilage. They then took a small piece of tissue from the penis of another rabbit and grew the cells in a lab dish.

Atala said the work has taken his team 18 years to complete. "We had to find the right growth factors, the right soup to grow the cells in," he said.

They made sure to have two cell types, smooth muscle cells and endothelial cells, the same type of cells that line blood vessels. The smooth muscle cells made the organ's spongy tissue and the endothelial cells grew into blood vessels -- very important in an organ like the penis, which requires good blood supply.

The cells were seeded onto the scaffold, and six weeks later the researchers had penises to graft onto rabbits that had their penises removed.

The animals seemed to realize they had working organs again � the 12 with the grafts tried to mate with female rabbits within one minute of being put into cages with them, and four of the female rabbits became pregnant.

Those with the scaffolding alone and no working tissue did not even try.

Atala is hoping the procedure will work with people, perhaps starting with adult men who have had damage to their organs.

"Patients with congenital anomalies, penile cancer, traumatic penile injury, and some types of organic erectile dysfunction could benefit from this technology in the future," the team wrote in the report.

68 year old woman passes drivers test after 950 tries!

SEOUL, South Korea - A woman in South Korea who tried to pass the written exam for a driver's license with near-daily attempts since April 2005 has finally succeeded on her 950th time.

The aspiring driver spent more than 5 million won ($4,200) in application fees, but until now had failed to score the minimum 60 out of a possible 100 points needed to get behind the wheel for a driving test.

Cha Sa-soon, 68, finally passed the written exam with a score of 60 on Wednesday, said Choi Young-chul, a police official at the drivers' license agency in Jeonju, 130 miles (210 kilometers) south of Seoul.

Police said Cha took the test hundreds of times, but had no specific total. Local media said she took the test 950 times.

Now she must pass a driving test before getting her license, Choi said.

The night CRAZY passed me by

A couple nights ago I was in the lobby of the hotel and I was hanging out with my friend B, and a call came to the hotel.

The voice was a mixture of crack and hate, her tone sent chills down my spine, my friend looked at me and stopped what she was doing because I had my Oh Fuck face on. She said "Hello, is John Doe staying there?" It was worse than the text conveys.

I hoped he wasn't. It was that point I decided to lie.

You see I have some personal experience dealing with Crazy Fucking Bitch stalking down her man and then coming to the hotel, it was not fun any of those times.

I said in a clear and calm voice "I'm sorry, I don't have anyone by that name staying here."

I checked the computer and hoped it was true. I can lie, but if it's true I can make it ring even better. Though if it had said his name, well, I would have tried hard.

"Well is Danny Fuckwad staying there?"

I pause long enough to look, and answer "I'm sorry I do not see that person checked in either."

YES! I blew a sigh of relief and filled my friend B on the situation, and we laughed. We laughed because crazy had passed me by. We both felt sorry for the poor bastard she finally landed into. Oh fuck. I mean seriously.

Like drive 4 hours to come and fucking scream like a banshee and throw things, nuts.

I know some of you would have the natural instinct to point out to crazy that you cannot give that kind of information out. If they know a room number, sure. Not just some fucking yahoo calling in with random names.

Pointing that out would ruin your night at the least, your life at the worst.

I could go on forever about why I hate bras, but this is a specific rant about the use of latex in bras.

I have a latex sensativity. This means that any prolonged exposure to latex leads to hives, rashes, itching, and sometimes pain. Not only do I only have about 3 choices for condoms, I cannot get vaccines at clinics. I have to go to the hospital where they have the equipment to handle any severe reaction.

As if that all wasn't bad enough, nearly all bras (and panties) contain some level of latex. Because my sensativity seems to be getting worse lately, I have started to look into latex free options. Here is what I get.

That is about as sexy as I've found. Someone should make a sexy non-latex option.

Also, they are not usually sold in regular stores. So I would have to order them online. I'm sure you all can see at least one problem with that. (Not being able to try them on prior to purchase for one.) I'm just tired of paying a premium and having to search for latex-free products.

Alas, it's either pay a permium or have itchy welts. FUCK ALLERGIES! And FUCK BRAS for being made with latex.

I think that her coaches should be held responsible too. They allowed her to get away with dirty moves to the point that she felt she could do this much damage. They also did not pull her out of the game the first two times she pulled a stunt.

I was just wondering in your opinion what type of government is best. Post your reasons why you support or don't support the particular government style(s). Just so we are clear:

Dictatorship: Rule by a single leader who has not been elected and may use force to keep control. In a military dictatorship, the army is in control. Usually, there is little or no attention to public opinion or individual rights.

Totalitarian: Rule by a single political party.
People are forced to do what the government tells them and may also be prevented from leaving the country.

Theocracy: A form of government where the rulers claim to be ruling on behalf of a set of religious ideas, or as direct agents of a deity.

Monarchy: A monarchy has a king or queen, who sometimes has absolute power. Power is passed along through the family

So you know how the U.S. is billions in debt? Have you ever wondered where this money has been going? The media and the government tell you it is largely because of the military budget. BULLSHIT! The money is going towards research for technology to reanimate people after death. The reason our government needs this technology is to bring Hitler back.

"Shooterman, why the fuck would we want to bring back Hitler? What the hell have you been smoking?" Nothing at all. You see, the reason we want Hitler back is so can we fulfill a pact with the country of Jamaica. Jamaica wanted Hitler alive for unknown reasons but was willing to pay us a shitload of money to get him. This is why we also went to war with Germany in WWII. Only certain members of the government, and myself, know of this pact. They originally was never going to mess with us and we were not going to mess with them until Jamaica made this offer. After all, it was the Japanese who attacked us.

Now notice that I said Jamaica wanted Hitler for "unknown reasons". However, I know what these reasons were. Hitler had invented a super mind control ray, capable of taking control of the entire world all at once! Jamaica wanted (and still wants to) turn all of the world into dreadlocked, Patois speaking pot farmers. Just like themselves. Only Hitler knew the location of the device. However, Jamaicans make very poor soldiers for obvious reasons. So they turned to us with an offer of money we could not refuse.

Why would we need this money? Because even before this research began, we were already far into debt. However, the sum of money Jamaica offered us would secure the U.S.A.'s place as the leading world superpower for many many many many many many many many years to come. Of course this was offset by Hitler's suicide. Hitler knew why we were after him. This at first destroyed our hopes until Jamaica told our leaders that the offer was still on the table. If we can somehow find a way to reanimate dead bodies with all original intelligence and memories intact, then we will be able to deliver on our pact. Of course, none of this will matter once Jamaica gets what it wants. Like I said though, those U.S. officials involved have no idea what Jamaica wants with Hitler.
