losses when their online bets and parlays are a bust, researchers at the <a href="https://www.wvu.edu/">West Virginia University</a> <a href="https://business.wvu.edu/">John Chambers College of Business and
Economics</a> are studying
loss-chasing behavior in West
Virginia to help protect Mountain State gamblers and their families from
the associated risks.</p><p><span style="font-size: 1em;">“Some people
are placing hundreds of bets on sporting events in just one
month through online gaming operators,” </span><a href="https://business.wvu.edu/faculty-and-staff/directory/profile?pid=231" style="font-size: 1em; background-color: white;">Brad
Humphreys</a><span style="font-size: 1em;">, Chambers College economics
professor, said. “West Virginians who gamble irresponsibly need help. Our research is going to make it easier

            <![CDATA[<p>A record number of <a href="http://wvu.edu/">West Virginia University</a> students are spending the summer at Nemacolin in southwestern Pennsylvania, gaining firsthand experience at the nationally recognized luxury resort through a partnership that is preparing future hospitality leaders with immersive, real-world learning opportunities.</p><p><span style="font-size: 1em;">The 21 interns represent nearly two-thirds of Nemacolin’s 33-member summer intern class, continuing a part</span><span style="font-size: 1em;">nership that has tripled the number of WVU interns at the resort since 2022.
