STORY TIME @ OUR GREEN HOUSE

so today was the first story time here at our green house. We had planned a yummy and nutritious snack, a great activity and a fun book to share with the kids.. but it turned out to be a rainy, dreary, dark day and noone stopped by.. Although a little upset by this set back I am sure when the weather gets nicer there will be an abundance of kids to read to! the next story time is scheduled for Friday April 18.I hope the weather is nicer and people can make it out because it is a great place for mothers to meet and kids to play!!!!

spring is in the air

We were so excited to host the green cleaning lecture on all the products we carry in the store and it was so much fun to talk to people and get their opinions on how products really work for them! the night went great and we are so happy with the turnout and to have been able to educate people on helping to perserve their health and the enviroment.
We are focused on the kids this month! I am planning a bi monthly story time. We will read a different story each time about the earth or vegetables to help kids think of ways they can make a difference..There will be an activity and healthy organic homemade snacks! It will be a great place for moms to meet others with similar interests. Kids can meet new friends and play with new toys! its an exciting time at Our Green House!
We are also planning a kids earth fair in early May.. This is where we are going to be donating to local shelters and people in need. There will be education as well as lots of fun activites for all ages.... I will have so much more to tell you as the sun stays up a little longer and the the warm air starts to come through to the east coast!

first blog ever!

Hi,
This is officially the first blog that Our Green House has ever written and we are so excited!
Let me take this time to introduce what Our Green House is and what we are all about..
We have a store that you can visit on the east coast, we are located at 4 Washington Ave. Sandy Hook, CT 06482. It is a small part of town located within Newtown CT. We have been at our current location for a little over a year and love the small town feel and wonderful community that surrounds us. This year one of our goals is to give back to this community and help raise money and be active for causes we feel are important!
In our store we carry a variety of organic clothing and bedding as well as all products for babies,mothers to be and all of the aspects of healthy natural living for families. We have a very easy online registry for new parents. We also have an online store where we ship items all over the country. In the next few blogs we will be discussing natural cleaners for our upcoming spring event!
