Check out the feature- The Local News on WYEP with Cindy Howes each Monday Through Thursday evening at 9pm on 91.3fm. It’s a one song feature spotlight new local music.

This month new local tracks from

Satin Gum- “Run For Cover” (LP)

Fun indie-pop. This is an upbeat song with a great driving drum line. The vocals slightly resemble Billie Joe of Green Day. The music is well mixed, so it blends together very nicely.

Chet Vincent and The Big Bend- “The Last Night With Marie” (Desert Gold)

Reminiscent of some kind of country swing. The song is slower but moves right along. This band features the unique drawling voice of Chet Vincent with interesting, dark lyrics.

Emily Rodgers- “Hurricane” (Bright Day)

Dark and haunting vocals. This heavily shoe-gaze influenced track will resonate with fans of Mazzy Star, My Bloody Valentine and The Innocence Mission.

Joe Grushecky and The Houserockers- “Carried Away” (East Carson Street)

A Fun and breezy American rock and roll song. This is bar music for the bar on the beach…. with a touch of gospel.
