Also known as augmentation mammaplasty, breast augmentation involves using implants to fulfill your desire for fuller breasts or to restore breast volume lost after weight reduction or pregnancy.

Breast Augmentation is a process were in the natural breasts are enhanced to appear bigger. This is done using breast implants made of silicone. The effects are ong lasting. The implant is placed with a small incision. The site of the incison may be in the breast fold, axilla, areola or the umblicus depending on the patients choice.

What will breast augmentation do?

If you are dissatisfied with your breast size, augmentation surgery is a choice to consider. Breast augmentation can:

Increase fullness and projection of your breasts

Improve the balance of your figure

Enhance your self-image and self-confidence

Breast augmentation may be a good option for you if

You are bothered by the feeling that your breasts are too small

You are dissatisfied with your breasts losing shape and volume after pregnancy, weight loss, or with aging

Your breasts vary in size or shape

One or both breasts failed to develop normally

The surgery can be done if you are physically healthy and if your breasts are fully developed.

What it will not do

Breast augmentation does not correct severely drooping breasts. If you want your breasts to look fuller and to be lifted due to sagging, a breast lift may be required in conjunction with breast augmentation.Breast lifting can often be done at the same time as your augmentation or may require a separate operation. Your plastic surgeon will assist you in making this decision.

Blepharoplasty or eyelid surgery improves the appearance of the upper eyelids, lower eyelids, or both, and gives a rejuvenated appearance to the surrounding area of your eyes, making you look more rested and alert. This is a procedure used to eliminate the tired look or the aged look in the eyes. This primarily involves removal of the bags in the eyelids . It may be done in the upper eyelid or the lower eye lid or both.

Specifically, eyelid surgery can treat the following situations:

Loose or sagging skin that creates folds or disturbs the natural contour of the upper eyelid, sometimes impairing vision

Excess fatty deposits that appear as puffiness in the upper eyelids

Bags under the eyes

Droopiness of the lower eyelids, showing white below the iris (colored portion of the eye)

Excess skin and fine wrinkles of the lower eyelid

What happens after Blepharoplasty?

Immediately after the surgery, lubricating ointment and cold compresses may be applied, and in some cases your eyes may be loosely covered with gauze.

Your surgeon will also give you specific instructions on how to take care of your eyes, medications to apply or take orally to aid healing and reduce the potential for infection, specific concerns to look for at the surgical site or in your overall health, and when to follow-up with your plastic surgeon.

Initial healing may include some swelling, bruising, irritation or dry eyes and discomfort that can be controlled with medication, cold compresses and ointment. Irritation at the incision sites also is possible. A special note: You must practice diligent sun protection and use darkly tinted sunglasses until the healing process is fully complete.

Face lift or rhytidectomy is a surgical procedure to improve visible signs of aging in the face and neck. This is mainly done to lift the sagging of skin around the face which is one of the features of aging. This can be done by surgery, or non surgically using facelift threads. Different parts of the face can be concentrated on like the upper face , med face or the lower part.

What will a face lift do?

If you are bothered by the signs of aging in your face, a facelift may be the right option for you. Technically known as rhytidectomy, a facelift is a surgical procedure to improve visible signs of aging in the face and neck, such as:

Sagging in the midface

Deep creases below the lower eyelids

Deep creases along the nose extending to the corner of the mouth

Fat that has fallen or is displaced

Loss of muscle tone in the lower face may create jowls

Loose skin and excess fatty deposits under the chin and jaw can make even a person of normal weight appear to have a double chin

Rejuvenation procedures typically performed in conjunction with a facelift are brow lift, to correct a sagging or deeply furrowed brow, and eyelid surgery to rejuvenate aging eyes.

Also known as reduction mammaplasty, breast reduction removes excess breast fat, glandular tissue and skin to achieve a breast size in proportion with your body and to alleviate the discomfort associated with overly large breasts.

The size to which the breast is reduced depends on the choice of the patient. There will be a fine line of surgery which is from the areola to the infra mammary fold which fades away with time.

What will reduction mammapalsty do?

Overly large breasts can cause some women to have both health and emotional problems. In addition to self image issues, you may also experience physical pain and discomfort. The weight of excess breast tissue can impair your ability to lead an active life. The emotional discomfort and self-consciousness often associated with having large pendulous breasts is as important an issue to many women as the physical discomfort and pain.

Breast reduction is a good option for you if:

You are bothered by the feeling that your breasts are too large

Your breasts limit your physical activity

You experience back, neck and shoulder pain caused by the weight of your breasts

You have regular indentations from bra straps that support heavy, pendulous breasts

You have skin irritation beneath the breast crease

Your breasts hang low and have stretched skin

Your nipples rest below the breast crease when your breasts are unsupported

You have enlarged areolas caused by stretched skin
