Guide on how to setup ProFTPD just went up. That’s an easy one and should only take a few minutes to get running. PureFTPD guide on it’s way as well in case you would rather like to run that one.

Posted a few more guides last night. All virtualization guides though. This may not be of interest to all, as this is already quite easy to understand. And I doubt most people will need a guide for this.

Finished the “Manual Disk Partitioning” Of the FreeBSD install guide. Also replaced the placeholder link with a propper link to the actual guide.

Well some clever readers pointed out that I had linked the wrong page to the qmail-scanner menu. Sorry for that, I guess it’s like Murphy’s law predicts. “A bug will go unnoticed until the product reaches the end user.”

Well some are. I managed to get quite a few guides online. These are updated guides for FreeBSD 10.3 and above. I have no plans of doing guides for older FreeBSD versions. And in the near future I will probably discontinue FreeBSD 10.3 and focus on FreeBSD 11.

Sorry for the headline pun. Managed to get some content on the new site. Not everything is on place yet, but I’m working on it as fast as I can. As mentioned in an earlier post, the old site was terrible outdated, and instead of just updating the guides on the old site, I figured I’d go an extra mile and do a whole new site as well. Now there are going to be at least 2 major changes to this site versus the old one.

In time Linux guides will show up here as well. I’m not fanatic regarding operating systems FreeBSD just happens to be my favourite.

And second I no longer have the time to maintain 2 sites i.e. a “private” as well as a “tech” site. So non tech stuff will show up here as well. Sorry you will have cope with this or look for guides elsewhere again I’m sorry.

I’m having a hard time figuring out what blog layout to go with. Nothing I try seems to hit the spot. I decided to keep 3 different layouts track whichever layout is beeing used most over time and stick with that one.

The old page was terrible outdated, I’m terrible sorry about that, but work and family needs my attention too. This said however with the amount of e-mails I receive because of either this or that is no longer working left me with 2 options. Either reply to quite a few e-mails, or update the guides. I decided the latter, and while I was add it, I decided to clean up as well. Now this implies the something like this. New “revamped” site and content, a lot of obsolete content will be removed. Support for older operating systems as well as applications will be removed as well as 32 bit OS guides (it’s 2017) no one should run FreeBSD 32 bit or some other OS in 32 bit for that matter. And since I don’t have as much time as I used to I decided to merge my personal blog with this one. Don’t worry though I don’t do much “personal” blogging.

All of this will probably take some time, so please don’t expect everything to work right out of the box. And before you reach out to me, “Yes I am working on it as fast as I can”.
