In the complex world of the internet there are several terms and concepts which must be learned in order to keep maximum security and protection while surfing the web. As you know many people are afraid of getting their computers hacked or have their personal and financial information compromised due to security holes in the system being used. REAL-TIME RATES
As you may or may not know, over the summer Adversal switched to a
real-time pricing model from one that was static. The overall impact of
this has been quite successful. It has proven to not only allow for a
better fill rate, but has also been capable of capturing the best rates
available at a given time for your inventory. We have seen the most
fluctuation in US rates, which by far have been the highest of all regions.

The new model has come with some misconceptions though. One I would like
to address is regarding the raw and unique CPMs. The thought is that
since we now display uCPM (unique CPM) in your account, that we only pay
for unique traffic. This is however, not true. Impressions are still
calculated on a raw basis (page views). The only difference is that the
system is now tracking your uniques as well, making it possible to see
your CPM broken down into a unique rate.
The new model has come with some misconceptions though.

So whats the purpose? A unique CPM that is close to your raw CPM
indicated a low page views to visitor ratio. The higher it is, the
greater your visitor loyalty/retention is.

FILL RATES
If you are seeing a lower then expected fill rate, then there are a
couple of things you can do. First off, if the low fill is for a
non-English speaking country, then its likely because we don’t have much
advertiser demand for that traffic. However, if that’s not the case,
then check your limit setting. The limit being the number of ads that
will be shown to a given user per 30 mins. If you set this to a value
that is lower then your site’s average page views per user, then you may
be missing out on extra earning opportunities.

Another scenario is that you’re only using the InPage Popups. We do
typically have greater inventory when it comes to pop-unders, so if you
are currently using the InPages only, consider switching to the
InPage+Popunder code.

NEW PAYMENT SCHEDULE
Starting next month, we will be moving from a Net 15 to a Net 35
payments schedule. This means that instead of issuing payments 15 days
after the end of the month, we will now be issuing payment 35 days after
the end of the month. The change is to allow us extra time to collect
outstanding balances.

The last Net 15 payment will be October 15th for balance accrued during
September. After that, the Net 35 schedule will kick in and the next
payment period will be December 5th for balances accrued during October.
The minimum payment will still be $20. A Q&A regarding the Net 35 terms
has been added to the FAQ in your account that details out all of the
payment periods throughout the year.

DEFAULTS
A common question that we receive is regarding defaults. Why do we not
offer defaults for pop-unders? The answer is because our pop-unders are
essentially action based (clicking a link to trigger an ad) whereas many
other ad networks will launch a pop-under once your website loads.
The two methods are not compatible, thus a default chain would not work.

USING POP-UP/UNDERS FROM OTHER NETWORKS
In most cases, yes, you can host pop-up/under code from another network
along side our publisher code. Our terms say specifically that you
cannot place the Adversal publisher code on a page which launches a
pop-up/under ad simultaneously to ours. However, since our pop-unders
are action based and many other networks launch pops at the time when your site first loads, the two ads would never load simultaneously. This means that you can in fact use pop-up/under code from another network as long as its not action based.

1. Using your NON-PROXY sites, apply to Adversal.
2. Make sure prior to sign ups, you blocked China [CN], Iran [IR] and Russia [RU]. Use geotargeting on your site, it helps.
3. AFTER signing up, send an email to psupport -a-t- adversal -d-o-t- com and tell them a few additional details about your site such as stats screenshot etc. You may add that you have a few high traffic sites (if you really have them) and give the url out. If you are going to use it on proxies, tell them that you are also interested running their ad network on web proxy sites. You can mention this site too if needed.
4. They might asked you this when they reply:
   

   As a requirement, your site must consist of 50% North American traffic and in reviewing your application, it has been determined that more
   information is necessary.

   – Can you provide country stats?
   – What countries are you currently blocking?
   – Do you own other proxy or proxy related sites that you are planning to use Adversal on? If so, does your block list apply to these sites as well?

Things that you need to understand:
This is from Adversal staff: If the applicant’s site complies with our terms, it could simply come down to a timing issue. Applications can be turned down if we don’t have enough advertisers to fill a site’s inventory, or if we have too many sites of similar focus already active in our network. In the case of proxies, the ladder usually tends to apply more.

Some of you might know that ProxyWhereabouts.com has been down more than 12 hours and still down as of the time I’m writing this. At first I thought my site was hacked since it does not detected any of the files structure I used to access. So, I alerted my admin and my DC. To my surprised, my DC replied saying the IP that is associated with ProxyWhereabouts.com was assigned to another server! WTF!

I have been using that IP for more than a year and they give me BS reason that the IP hasn’t been used more than 15 days so it will automatically be assigned to another client. Of course they will not see any activity because the IP was used as a nameserver!

I asked for the IP to be reassigned to my server again but it has already been assigned to another client. So, I guess I have to use another IP. For now it looks like the new IP has propagate itself within US but yet to reach my country. I hope everything will be fine as it should be.

Lesson learnt here is, ALWAYS bind all IPs to your server to prevent them being assigned to someone else.

I put this up because there is people who seems interested to know how to create something similar to what I have on ProxyWhereabouts.com. It even been discussed on a webmaster forum. *happy*. So, Aquarezz I hope you’re happy to have this code. Only that you need to customize it to suit your need.

Now, on solid ground we all desire one thing – our neighbor’s wife but on the internet we all share one common experience, we have been banned from this cool website and we want the access back. But can we get it? Of course we can and that’s what today’s online business is all about – proxies.

Proxies or content filters will always be searched for as there will always be people who get banned from websites so why not try to make a buck out of it? Many schools block popular social networking website such as MySpace and Facebook and other popular destinations for kids and many companies and government institutes block certain websites so their employees can’t scrimshank at work and some people just want to keep their browsing habits anonymous.

Now installing a proxy is not that big of a deal but getting traffic to it can be a pain in the neck, especially today when a visitor has tens of thousands proxy websites to choose from. What make you believe he is going to surf your Proxy?

1. Most common method of promoting a Proxy is getting it listed on several proxy listing site. They do ask for a reciprocal link which most of us are not fans of but it’s worth in this case because some of them are such as Proxy.org is the biggest proxy directory online so you can get sizeable amount of traffic from them. Don’t ignore smaller directories because they’re also a good source of traffic.
2. Template. Apart from listing your proxy to several proxy listing online, you would want to have a site which can be recognizable to your user. Think of it like drawing a map inside your users mind. With a combination of a good domain name, good looking template does converts traffic. If you Google “free custom proxy template”, you will see there are many sites that offered free proxy template.
3. Exchanging links can be a great way to attract visitors but don’t do it with someone running a Proxy like yourself because they’re direct competition so it would make no sense in exchanging links with another Proxy website. Instead, try to make a deal with Arcade website owners since those are usually the type of websites that get blocked. However, by advertising your Proxy on a website like that means direct exposure and can get you banned as well so you’ll have to decide whether it is worth the hassle or not.
4. Also don’t forget to post in forums because forums can be your second biggest traffic income if you do it right. Bulletin boards with off topic (MySpace, Orkut, Facebook) or video game genres (Filefront, Talk-Gaming) are most likely to attract a lot of visitors due to the variety of targeted audience (teenagers) but since nowadays it doesn’t matter where you come from it would be good for your business if you could post on webmaster related forums (DigitalPoint, Sitepoint, WebProxyTalk)
5. MySpace and Facebook. Of course, why you didn’t think of that? It’s so obvious it’s likely to get forgotten but it is also a crucial step in Proxy website promotion. What’s a better way to promote a Proxy than to promote it on a website getting blocked most of the time? You can buy MySpace and Facebook accounts with thousands of friends for 10$ or 20$ but you can always build your society yourself if you like to get things done from scratch. Posting occasional bulletins and commenting your friends’s profiles can make wonders.
6. Last but not least, paid advertising. This can be harder for Proxy owners with no steady income so you’re more than welcomed not to pay a dime on advertising but if you’re thinking about getting serious with your Proxy, PPC programs are money well spent. If you’re new to AdWords, AdBrite, BidVertiser and other Pay Per Click program, do it on a small scale first and if it works, expand your arbitrage.

Whatever you might do, remember you’re here to offer free proxy services to people and the same way you got on the market you can be removed from it so watch you don’t fall off the clip because Proxy business can sometimes be dangerous. Work hard, be patient and results will be overwhelming.

Since at that time I do not have enough time to play with the script, I just let it stopped functioning. LOL..I know, I shouldn’t have done that. About a few minutes ago, I had a chance to look into the source code and play with it. Then, finally I found the code which communicate with the seller’s website and remove it from the script, and now you see our Proxy Listing section is back online again!.
