This year, our annual Alumni Dinner will honor all past and present faculty. As part of the continuing celebration of Loyola High School’s 150th anniversary, this year’s Alumni Dinner, which customarily presents the Cahalan Award, will put that tradition on hold, for just this year, so that Loyola alumni may collectively thank the Faculty and Staff on their countless contributions in educating the Men for Others who distinguish our school.

Tickets to our next Varsity Football home game - Loyola vs. Chaminade High School on Friday, October 2 - can be purchased in advance or on the night of the game starting at 5:30p.m. Students may use Promo Code LHSFB15 for their free Student ticket. Please note: a valid school ID will be required at the gate entrance to use a Promo Code ticket. Gates open at 5:30p.m. and kickoff is at 7:30p.m. For more, click here.

School Testing Day: Wednesday, October 14, 2015

All Freshmen, Sophomores and Juniors will be required to be at Loyola on School Testing Day, Wednesday, October 14, 2015. The day will begin at the regular time and students will be taking the PSAT. Freshmen will take the PSAT 8/9. Sophomores and Juniors will take the PSAT. Student locations will be posted on the Loyola Website Homepage starting OCTOBER 9^th, 2015. All students will need to bring two #2 PENCILS. A scientific or graphing calculator is permitted (and recommended) or any standard four-function calculator. Dismissal will be roughly 12:00pm. Seniors are not required to be at Loyola High on Testing day. Seniors are invited to attend LMU for the annual “CUBS ON CAMPUS” day. Please see the invitation posted on the Loyola High School website for signups or Mr. Gallagher in the Counseling Office.

Sign Up For the San Diego College Tour

The Loyola counseling department is offering a college day tour to San Diego, Ca on Monday, October 12, 2015. A bus will take students down to visit San Diego State University, University of San Diego, and University of California at San Diego in the morning and return in the early evening. October 12 is a faculty inservice day and students will not have classes. Parents of Seniors and Juniors are invited to view the following two links to get details. Seniors students do get some priority but we anticipate there may also be room for some juniors students. Space is limited.

Eighteen very lucky Loyola Cubs touched down in Philadelphia on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 to take part in 2Philly4Francis, a celebration of the Holy Father’s visit to the US. They joined hundreds of fellow students from more than 40 Jesuit high schools who participated in this momentous event, organized by Philadelphia’s Jesuit high school, St. Joseph’s Prep. Led by Loyola Dean of Men and St. Joseph alumnus Daniel Annarelli, they gathered at St. Joseph’s on Friday, September 25, for a day of prayer, reflection and discussion, attended Pope Francis’ address at the Festival of Families on Saturday, September 26, as well as the Mass on Sunday, September 27.
