After two years of Pinterest's way of registering users through user invitation, they finally give way and made it open to the public.

Pinterest announced through their blog:
“We’re really excited to have the capacity to offer Pinterest to more people and if you’re a Pinner with friends who’ve been waiting on the sidelines, we hope you’ll let them know. Happy pinning to everyone!”

After the announcement, anyone can now register to their site using your twitter, facebook or an email account.

Pinterest hits 10 million unique US visitors way back last February and continued to grow up. A clear sign that their invitation to join style of registration would give way sooner to increase their users more.

The first Word Lens app came available to the mobile community last 2010 and unfortunately, was only available on iOS devices. Due to this unavailability, a number of mobile users asked for an Andoird version. So now, the developers of Word Lens app, Quest Visual, finally heard the people's plea by making it available on Android through Google Play.

The Word Lens translates captured texts/words on an Android device's camera from one language to another. The app includes an optical character recognition and a dictionary making it functional without an internet connection. To add with the original packed language translation, Quest Visual added Italian/English and French/English pairs to the original Spanish/English language translation which are now available on both iOS and Android platforms. To know more about the Word Lens app, check out Quest Visual's site.

Today, Google, together with its partner Samsung, launched a new Chromebook and it's first Desktop Chromebox.

The new Chromebook comes with a promising speed that is significantly faster than the other Samsung Series.

This new version of Chromebook also has an Intel Core chip, an HD camera, a 4GB of RAM, 2 USB 2.0 ports and a 1280x800 display resolution.

Other than that, Google also release its first Chromebox, a Mac Mini-like desktop version of Chromebook with more ports than Chromebook except that an SD card reader is missing.

Pricing for Chromebook starts at $449 for the WiFi-only version. While $239 for the new Chromebox.

Have you been dreaming of hiking through the beautiful Alps mountain one day and see all the beautiful sceneries that lies with it?

That won't just be a dream anymore today, and you should thank technology for the amazing experience offered by WebWandered.ch.

This site allows visitors to virtually see the most beautiful places the Alps offer. How did they do this? The project starter used real hikers to take HD footage of their mountain treks and uploaded the videos to their website.

There are 10 stages that cover 130 kilometers of hiking, starting from Thusis (Switzerland) to Tirano (Italy). The video is on normal play so normally, it would take you days to finish "hiking". Fortunately, you can just jump to whichever part you like in the whole travel and see all the beautiful views in a couple of minutes.

If you really want to experience how's this done, try visiting the site for yourself, and see all it's beautiful and cool spots.

Today, I came to a problem with my Google Chrome browser.

I was seriously doing my work when my AOC CRT monitor act weirdly and zoomed in my display in the middle of the screen about half of its size smaller.

Since, there's an available PC on my side, I decided to access my PC remotely.

After a while my work resume. When suddenly, everytime I click a tab on my Chrome browser, it automatically close. I decided to click a few more tabs and all of them closed.

I was thinking that the remote connection might be the reason. So I tried searching for clues on the internet. I have read one suggesting that it might be a cause of some viruses, so I automatically updated my AV and did a scan.

I continued reading until I came to the right reason and exact solution to the problem.

Problem:

The problem was in my mouse.

Explanation:

Chrome tabs normally close when you click it using the scroll wheel button.

When for some other reasons, your mouse scroll button jams, everytime you click using your left mouse button, will be registered as a scroll button click on your PC.

And that's what happened to my mouse.

Solution:

So what I did, I tried fixing it, just do whatever you think you can do to unjam it. And after that, my Chrome tabs won't close again when left clicked.

This problem occurs in almost all brands and types of mouse with scroll wheel button including Microsoft, Logitech, etc.

According to reviewers, the Ivy Bridge Processor has been running a little hotter than overclockers liked.

Overclockers.net found out that regular thermal paste between the CPU die and the outwardly visible heatspreader is the possible cause.

Japanese site PC Watch launch a test by replacing the stock thermal paste in a Core i7-3770K with a bit expensive alternative to see the result. What they found out? The temperatures dropped by 18 percent against stock while overclocked temperatures dropped by 23 percent which significantly shows that better thermal solutions allowed the Ivy Bridge to sustain higher core voltages and core clock speeds and deliver greater performance.

“Our projector consists of hundreds of tiny microprojectors in an array, each of which generates a complete image,” according to Marcel Sieler.

Modeled from nature on compound eye found in some insects, this technology called array projection was derived. Additionaly, using infrared beams, the researchers able to make the screen touch sensitive which allows selection, swiping and tapping of objects on the screen.

Additionally, it allows users to view contents in 2D and 3D using microprojectors technology and comes with an integrated earbuds to give you the amazing experience you need. It is the first see-through wearable display that runs on Google's popular Operating System, the Android OS so expect that it runs any Android apps available on the net now. The only thing that's not nice to this thing is the $699 price it has on the market!

A great problem that e-Book readers have today is the incapability of accessing one file downloaded for a specific device to another device.
For example, a book bought from Amazon can only be read from Kindle e-reader's. It can't be read on another devices. Same thing with buying a book from Apple ehich can only be read from iPhones, iPod touches and iPads. What publishers insist is using encryption through "Digital Rights Management" (DRM) which they think could stop piracy.

But when people buy books from Pottermore, they have the option to download in a variety of formats including those which don't have the DRM thing.

"We believe that people should have the right, once they've bought the book, to read it on any device that they chose to," according to Charles Redmayne, CEO of Pottermore. That was the first reason, while the second reason is of course, to build a nice realtions with the customers.
"It's a very valuable thing to us to own that customer relationship. It gives us a tremendous opportunity to create new products that we can sell to those consumers around the Harry Potter brand," Redmayne added.

YANZITE

Nokia Lumia 900 Official Release April 8 at AT&T for $99

The changes varies worldwide though, as it will only offer movies, books and apps on some countries and only books and apps on another. Nevertheless, Google Play will be the new store for Androis apps.

To add more, you will see the Google Play link on your google account next to Maps.

CNET also reported that Google may start selling movies via Google Play. That would mean more traffic of course to Google.

Google just updated its Software Development Kit (SDK) to revision 17 with new features and bug fixes.

Additionally, x86 is now supported natively using emulator on Windows and Mac OS X. The previous
Android emulator
didn't do well because of it's speed. But Google says the emulator now runs almost same as the native speed with the
help of Intel. An experimental support for multitouch is also present from a tethered Android device to help developers test their software more realistically on PCs.

The Raspberry Pi is a credit-card sized computer that plugs into your TV and a keyboard. It’s a capable little PC which can be used for many of the things that your desktop PC does, like spreadsheets, word-processing and games. It also plays high-definition video. We want to see it being used by kids all over the world to learn programming.

The System on a Chip (SoC) usedis a Broadcom BCM2835. This contains an ARM1176JZFS, with floating point, running at 700Mhz, and a Videocore 4 GPU. The GPU is capable of BluRay quality playback, using H.264 at 40MBits/s. It has a fast 3D core accessed using the supplied OpenGL ES2.0 and OpenVG libraries.

Graphics:
The GPU provides Open GL ES 2.0, hardware-accelerated OpenVG, and 1080p30 H.264 high-profile decode.

The GPU is capable of 1Gpixel/s, 1.5Gtexel/s or 24 GFLOPs of general purpose compute and features a bunch of texture filtering and DMA infrastructure.

That is, graphics capabilities are roughly equivalent to Xbox 1 level of performance. Overall real world performance is something like a 300MHz Pentium 2, only with much, much swankier graphics.
There is composite and HDMI out on the board, so you can hook it up to an old analogue TV, to a digital TV or to a DVI monitor (using a cheap adapter for the DVI). There is no VGA support, but adaptors are available, although these are relatively expensive.

Booting:
You have to boot from SD but a USB HD can “take over” after the initial boot. You cannot boot without an SD card.

Audio:
There’s a standard 3.5mm jack for audio out. You can add any supported USB microphone for audio in with sound over HDMI support.

Power:
The device is powered by 5v micro USB. You can read more about it here. Power supplies will be available at launch.
The device can also run using a 4 x AA cell batterries.

Software:
It uses Fedora as recommended distribution. It’s straightforward to replace the root partition on the SD card with another ARM Linux distro if you want to use something else. The OS is stored on the SD card.

-That was an announcement made by the Pirate Bay last March 18, 2012 that made the internet think about an early "April Fool's day".

But the idea of an inaccessible data physically is very much amazing, even if this wouldn't be a success at first.
We’re just starting so we haven’t figured everything out yet. But we can’t limit ourselves to hosting things just on land anymore. These Low Orbit Server Stations (LOSS) are just the first attempt. With modern radio transmitters we can get over 100Mbps per node up to 50km away. For the proxy system we’re building, that’s more than enough.

But that would be costly, plus the energy consumption and its weight. Well, they mentioned using Raspberry Pi which is only about a size of a credit card and and can be powered using a 5v micro USB.
So I guess the Pirate Bay is really going to provide the real CLOUD service?

Consumer says the new iPad runs a little hotter than it's predecessor the iPad 2 by 5.3 degrees.

Website Tweakers.net tested both iPad2 and iPad3 under an infrared camera to take thermal image.
I came out that the new iPad's temperature reached 33.6C while the iPad 2 reached 28.3C.

“The new iPad delivers a stunning retina display, a5x chip, supports 4G LTE plus 10 hours of battery life all while operating well within our thermal specifications.
If customers have any concerns, they should contact AppleCare."
According to Harrison.
