Yarwil has now regular deliveries of NOxCare 40 all over Europe, as well as to vessels in Brazil, Middle East and Asia. NOxCare 40 is readily available from various production facilities, although Yara’s factories in Sweden and Holland are the most frequently used sources. This of course because most of the current NOxCare 40 end users are located in Europe. However, as US EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) has introduced NOx reduction requirements on new engines for American flagged vessels from 2014, demand here is expected to pick up shortly. In addition, US and Canada will be effecting the North American ECA (Emission Controlled Area), and the demand here is expected to grow further from 2016.

NOxCare SCR SYSTEMS - SALES AND DISTRIBUTION BY WILHELMSEN TECHNICAL SERVICES

Yarwil has an agreement with the recently establilshed Wilhelmsen Technical Services (WTS), to be the customer interface for the NOxCare SCR Systems. Previously, NOxCare SCR systems were supplied from Wilhelmsen Ships Equipment (WSE), which was merged with Wilhelmsen Marine Engineering in the beginning of this year. Through WSE more than 50 NOxCare systems have been successfully delivered to a number of customers. Amongst the most recent deliveries were systems to the Norwegian fishing vessels M/V Hargun and M/V Østerbris, and to the offshore supply vessel M/V Beaucephalus, owned by the Indian operator GARWARE Offshore Services Ltd. Further deliveries are ongoing, such as to the Swedish Coast Guard vessels currently being built at Peene Shipyard in Germany.

The shift from WSE to WTS as distributor of NOxCare SCR systems is continuing seamlessly, and Yarwil is very happy with the cooperation ongoing.
