Иногда нужно быстро сделать снимок экрана или отдельной области экрана, чтобы отправить по электронной почте коллеге или разместить в социальной сети. Помимо отправки снимка экрана без изменений, нужно, чтобы была возможность редактировать скриншот: добавлять указатели, текст, размывать отдельные участки изображения, изменять размер изображения и т. д.

Какие существуют бесплатные способы выполнить заявленные цели?

Я попробовал 4 распространенных способа:

нажатие клавиши «Print Screen»;
программа «Скриншоты в Яндекс.Диске»;
программа Lightshot;
программа PicPick.

Есть еще одно бесплатное решение под названием ShareX, ознакомиться с которым можно по ссылке getsharex.com

Итак, если нажать клавишу «Print Screen» на клавиатуре, то операционная система сделает снимок всего экрана, включая Панель задач, названия вкладок браузера, окон, запущенных программ и т. п. Более того, файл изображения экрана будет помещен в буфер обмена компьютера и, чтобы отредактировать полученный результат, нужно будет вставить текущее содержимое буфера в любой графический редактор, например в Paint. Таким образом, это крайне быстрый, но очень неудобный способ создания снимка экрана, когда нужно выполнять массу действий и тратить время на лишнее редактирование.

Ситуация станет лучше, если вы воспользуетесь облачным хранилищем «Яндекс.Диск». Тогда у вас появится возможность попробовать программу «Скриншоты в Яндекс.Диске». Это отдельный модуль в Яндекс.Диске, который позволяет сделать снимок всего экрана, активного окна или произвольной области экрана. Поддерживаются «горячие» клавиши, что еще больше ускоряет работу.

После создания скриншота, изображение сразу попадает в редактор, с помощью которого можно добавить дополнительные элементы: указатель, текст, фигуры, размытие и т. д. Это довольно удобно, но есть недостаток: без установки программы Яндекс.Диск у вас не будет редактора скриншотов.

Третий способ из нашего списка — это установить небольшую бесплатную программу Lightshot. С ее помощью можно:

быстро сделать снимок выбранной области экрана;
скопировать полученный скриншот в буфер обмена, чтобы вставить в другую программу: графический редактор, текстовый редактор, электронное сообщение и т. д.;
сразу после создания скриншота его можно быстро отредактировать: добавить указатели, линии, фигуры, текст;
поделиться скриншотами, загрузив его в облако и получить публичную ссылку.

Я пользовался этой программой несколько лет, пока не попробовал PicPick.

Чем меня привлекла эта программа? Во-первых, не нужно ничего устанавливать, потому что есть портативная версия. Во-вторых, помимо возможностей Lightshot, есть несколько дополнительных функций:

можно захватывать что угодно: окно, выделенную область и даже окно с прокруткой. Это очень удобно, если нужно полностью захватить веб-страницу, у которой есть полоса прокрутки;
усиление изображения различными эффектами;
выбор разных графических аксессуаров: выбор цвета, цветовая палитра, пиксельные линейки, транспортир и т. д.;
отправка скриншотов на сайты, электронную почту, Dropbox, Google Drive, в социальные сети и т. д.

Why Immigration Courts Need Interpreters

Each year, the Executive Office for Immigration Review publishes a Statistics Yearbook on immigration court matters. This past year’s report highlighted several trends in immigration, including an increase in the number of immigration cases when compared to previous years. In addition to an increase of immigration cases, the report also showed an increased need for translation services in the courtroom.

An Unbalanced System & An Unbalanced Workload

U.S. Immigration Courts are estimating a rise in court cases due to current changes in immigration policies.

In fact, last year’s trends displayed a 14 percent increase in court matters compared with 2015.

Further data confirmed an unbalanced system and an unbalanced workload. This was evident in the fact that 25 percent of all cases brought to the attention of the immigration court system were only accounted by five city immigration courts (there are 58 nationwide).

The cities most affected by immigration-related court cases include:

Los Angeles, CA
New York City, NY
San Francisco, CA
Arlington, VA
Miami, FL

Language Trends

According to the Executive Office for Immigration, the top five languages represented in 2016 include:

Spanish – 75.73% of all initial case completions
English – 10.21% of all initial case completions
Mandarin Chinese – 3.80% of all initial case completions
Punjabi – 0.81% of all initial case completions
Arabic – 0.60% of all initial case completions

While Spanish is the most requested language for court interpreters, Administrative Deputy Clerk for the Racine County of Courts Office, Sam Christensen, says a few other language requests have been showing up, including Arabic, American Sign Language, Gujarati, Burmese, Hindi, Portuguese, Tagalog, Russian, Korean, Serbian, and Vietnamese.

“That’s just for the last couple of months,” Christensen added. “Whether you’re innocent or guilty, you have the right to understand the court process.”

Interpreting the Results

These statistics confirm that native Spanish language speakers were responsible for the majority of court cases in the system last year (76 percent). Which, in turn, has resulted in an increased demand for Spanish court interpreters.

“There is no question the need for interpreters has increased,” Racine County Circuit Court Judge Charles Constantine told The Journal Times. “Primarily Spanish interpreters.”

According to The Journal Times, more than 1,747 hours were logged in Racine County courts by Spanish-speaking court interpreters.

“I think there’s a certain heightened awareness among lawyers (of the need for interpreters),” Christensen said. “When you think about it, legal concepts — even when you speak English — can be complicated.”

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the employment of interpreters and translators is projected to grow 29 percent from 2014 to 2024. This increase will assist in meeting the demand in immigration courts. In order for proceedings in this court to be fair and accurate, all parties involved must understand what’s going on. That is best achieved when information can be conveyed in the appropriate language.

Импорт глоссария в виде Excel файла в MultiTerm

Для импорта простого глоссария (две колонки: оригинал и перевод) воспользуйтесь утилитой Glossary Converter, которая преобразовывает глоссарий в формате Excel в терминологическую базу MultiTerm, которую потом можно подключить к проекту в SDL Trados Studio 2015.

Это операция drag-and-drop, когда файл Excel переносится на окно запущенной программы, которая преобразовывает файл Excel в базу MultiTerm.

Импорт глоссария в виде Excel файла в memoQ 2015

Выберите Resource Console > Term Bases > Create new или выберите уже готовую базу терминов.
Укажите название для новой базы терминов и языки, которые будут включены в эту базу. Можно выбрать несколько языков. Базы терминов в memoQ многоязычные, в отличие от баз переводов.
Выделите созданную базу терминов и нажмите Import terminology.
Выберите на своем компьютере файл Excel и нажмите Открыть.

В файлах TMX информация представлена в сегментированном виде, где каждый сегмент состоит из пары предложений (фраз): оригинал и перевод. TMX файлы могут быть не только двуязычными (напр., англ.-русс.), но и многоязычными. Однако информация в редакторе TMX файлов отображается только для выбранной в данный момент языковой пары.

Если вам необходимо ознакомиться и редактировать TMX базы, воспользуйтесь бесплатными программами: редактор Olifant и редактор Heartsome TMX Editor 8. Обе программы предоставляют возможность создавать TMX файлы, вносить изменения в текст сегментов, удалять ненужные теги, повторы, непереведённые сегменты, изменять тип языковой пары (например, вы хотите изменить en-US-ru-RU на En-Ru), удалять лишние пробелы до и после сегментов, делить TMX файлы на несколько частей, соединять несколько TMX файлов в один, экспортировать TMX в файлы MS Word, MS Excel, txt, tbx и т.д. Более подробно формат TMX описывается в Wikipedia.

Чтобы извлечь пользу из файлов TMX, из следует импортировать в новую или уже готовую базу памяти переводов в САТ-программе.

Импорт TMX файла в SDL Trados Studio 2015

Вкладка Главная > Открыть > Открыть базу переводов из главного меню, или нажмите кнопку "Создать", чтобы создать новую базу переводов.
База переводов появилась в списке слева в разделе "Базы переводов".
Выберите нужную базу переводов из списка и нажмите кнопу "Импорт" на вкладке Главная.
Нажмите кнопку "Добавить файлы", чтобы добавить файлы TMX и нажмите Далее.
Нажмите Далее.
Выберите необходимые опции и нажмите Готово.

Импорт TMX файла в программе MemoQ 2015

Выберите Resource Console > Translation Memories > Create new или выберите уже готовую базу переводов.
Укажите название для новой базы переводов и языковую пару.
Выделите созданную базу переводов и нажмите Import from TMX/CSV.
Выберите на своем компьютере файл TMX и нажмите OK

После импорта необходимого TMX файла в базу переводов САТ-программы вы сможете получать результаты при работе над переводом. При обнаружении полных или частичных совпадений переводимого текста с данными в базе переводов, САТ-программа будет автоматически подставлять перевод, чем значительно ускорит вашу работу.

Создание TM из параллельных текстов

Я занимаюсь поиском параллельных текстов и созданием памятей переводов (англ. translation memory) и глоссариев. Такие накопители переводов используются во всех САТ-программах. Тексты для создания баз переводов нахожу в открытых источниках в Интернете.

Периодически буду делиться своими находками с уважаемым переводческим сообществом.
