Now, lets come to the number of people who accompanied him.

Referring to l’express of the 5th Nov 2009 (yes, I am a daily reader), the title says “douze avocats” :

This blog post was initially written early yesterday morning, the 7th Nov 2009.

To my surprise, while reading l’express dimanche today (yes, I read this too), I became pretty confused, again!

On the same page(pg 11), someone says (I quote) “Onze avocats, tout de meme” while another journalist wrote (I quote) : “Accompagné de dix avocats“.

I am not a law graduate or anything, perhaps lawyers or attorneys can be regrouped in same category, I have no idea. Can anyone please explain me?

So, is it 10, 11 or 12?

• How can a law be applied without any time delay or notice given to the population?
• In which ways is the new law communicated to the population?

Do you still remember this song of Craig David – “Rise and Fall” ?

That title can be used to describe the trend for the price of petrol in Mauritius.

But there is simply no logic in this monthly review of prices! Personally, I was awaiting a small increase since the trend since the last month was Rise – Fall – Rise – Fall….

Finally the head of the STC simply remains away from the media when he has to explain for the high price of Petroleum Products in the island compared to the worldwide price.

Anyway, I can’t complain about the decrease in the price of petrol (Essence) for this month but nothing is predictable with the State Trading Cooperation.

As I said on Twitter, there will definitely be an increase in the number of vehicles on our roads as from tomorrow…

For lunch and dinner, we ate home made fried rice. During the day, she had a choco mousse while I ordered a “Planters’ Punch” at Black Steer of Flic en Flac.

Or perhaps you would you like to have a HUGE beer mug of Phoenix in Sunset Cafe at only Rs 100?

For those working in Ebene and the surroundings, it can be quite tiresome to drive down to the Grand Bay, Port Louis or to Flic en Flac, especially on a Friday night.

Four Points by Sheraton is the new 4 star hotel right in the heart of the Ebene Cybercity. Great atmosphere and I think its much easier for people to get a corner or a sofa for themselves compared to Le Suffren.

And the service is definitely much better!

Finally, if you want to have some “cacahuettes”, just ask… At Le Suffren, you might finish your beer without any sign of your “gajak”!

Formerly known as Kitsch, Keops is another altenative for those around Ebene and it is located right into the Ebene Way Complex

Lambic

A few months back, Lambic opened its doors.

Situated near the police headquarters in Port Louis, it has a huge variety of beers from different parts of the world! Indeed, you will be amazed when you will see yourself in the middle of a room with thousands of bottles of beer!

Boire fini, bouteille rester!

That’s the place to go if you want to taste that beer you had in London or Belgium! And of course, you can even have The Phoenix beer!

Parking : At your own risk, i.e. on the streets of the capital.

This is only part of the review since there are loads more of pubs and restos out there, especially in Grand Bay and Flic en Flac, may be I will talk about them later on.
