MG Astray Blue Frame 2nd Revised

It's been a long time since my last post. A lot of my time was occupied with work and projects. But it doesn't mean that my love for all things gundam faded. ^-^

Astray Blue Frame 2nd Revised is coming out!! when i saw the pictures, i was very excited. Finally, an MG version. it was really a long wait.

Look at the sword. Simply Awesome!!! ^-^ The Big Swords + Gundam. Nice Combination.

Broken Sinanju's Waist

Bloody hell. my sinanju's waist connector broke. wanted to twist the upper body, but it was very tight so applied a bit force, and accidentally twist the fucking connector loose and twisted. shit. a bad day. i suspect that the connector was in a bad shape before this. planning on buying another sinanju after this. i need to be careful on the waist joint. maybe a bit mod on the joint so that it wouldn't be to tight to twist around when you want to pose your sinanju. I have a similar experience before with my MG Freedom. Bought a second Freedom a week after. i cant stand defects. lol ^_^

Sorry for the long hiatus. Have been busy with work this past few months. Still once a while i would be surfing gundam related sites for the latest news. Anyway, i just got myself a shin musha gundam. Once completed, maybe i would post pictures of it together with my Sinanju. adios. ^_^

PG Red Frame Astray Extra

As indicated by Ngee khiong, there is a nice "gift" for the PG Red Frame Astray.

Clear armor parts, beam rifle, shield and best of all, another Gerbera Straight. Red Frame wielding two katanas is just pure awesomeness. The question is, how do we get it? Is it limited? To tell truth, I really don't get my hope up just yet over the special gift. My early assumption would be this gift is limited to those in Japan and who buy the PG Astray online.

Can't wait for the PG Astray Red Frame to come out later in March or early April. As for the price when it becomes available in Malaysia, some say around RM700++. Quite expensive. Maybe it's because of the higher Yen value against MYR and the rising price of the gunplas themselves. PG strike here is around RM400-RM500.

New pictures of the MG Sinanju Ver. Ka with all the stickers and decals. The gold markings are still foil stickers as Bandai have indicated it not long ago. Ngeekhiong has some insights about the stickers in his blog. I never had a good relationship with foil stickers. Usually when a kit that has those dreaded stickers, i just opt to not apply it. But now i am stuck with this one simply dilemma. I am also not that good in painting. lol.

Gundam Unicorn in action! Hail to this korean guy who made this happen. Found this link while visiting the local forum. Just when the LED trend is becoming apparent, this guy take it to the next level and applied it to the Unicorn!!

Maybe i would try it with my Unicorn. It looks cool with all the reds glowing. This is what Bandai should include in the Unicorn. Imagine how much profit they would earn!! lol

Asuka in Plugsuit (pre-painted)

Saw this gorgeous garage kit figure at E2406. Asuka just looks beautiful. This kit will be released at the end of the year. It cost around US$140+. I wish have a lot of money. I would definitely order this figure. Creator's labo Ayanami Rei in Plugsuit only cost around USD 70+. God, everytime i see her face, it feel like she's asking me to buy her!!

By the way, the breast clothing area is removable! revealing those nice "eyes". For those who are interested, just visit E2046 site.

New Look

Just applied a new template. It's quite difficult to write in CSS for someone who just started to learn them. I didn't even learn HTML that much. Try and error are my modus operandi. For now, I'm just happy with my result. Need some tweaking though. Now, I'm trying to open the blog with different browsers. As always, IE always gave me the headaches, but then again everything running in IE always gives headaches. lol. The site looks okay in Firefox, Opera, and Chrome. There is something doesn't look quite right when I opened the blog in Safari. One of the topmenu elements doesn't align horizontally with the others.

I made a minor adjustment. Instead of the default yellow L.E.D, i confiscated a blue L.E.D from a mouse as a substitute. Since i didnt have a battery, i made a simple wiring with the mouse's PCB so that i can use the usb as a powersource.

swapping the yellow LED with a blue LED.

green wire as positive and white wire as negative. I dont have any soldering device, so i just tie it. a very crude way indeed.

All i need is a resistor. since i didn't have one, i just use the mouse's PCB. the green wire goes to the output side of the resistor. the white wire should be connected to Ground (G). This, again, a very crude circuit. Well, it is meant to be temporary actually. lol.

connect the usb to the computer. illuminate!
One reminder: this is not the best way of making the usb as a power source.

As i wrote previously, it's been a while since i last obtained a gunpla kit. So, i bought a PG Strike Gundam!

I just started assembling the shield and the grand slam. Let's face it, weapon equipments are the easiest part to make. I just wanted to see how big it is really. (i really need to control myself! lol ^_^)

Its been a long time since i have updated my blog. Obviously i'm busy with work but more importantly, i havent bought any goodies as of late. I'm must plan a big shopping spree later!

It seems that Bandai will produce an MG Sinanju. I'm was really looking forward to this. Finally, a rival MG for the Unicorn. I hope that after Sinanju, Bandai will make the Khshatriya!

Tamashii Spec Limited Positron Rifle

I never have thought of actually obtaining this positron rifle. It was by pure chance i found this at my usual toy shop. Lucky.

Unfortunately, my Unit 01 Movie Ver. isn't with me right now coz i have kept it at my hometown, which is an hour and 45 minutes flight over the sea from KL. I do have my spare Unit 01 TV ver. here in kl, just in case i got bored.

In the Box

I wanted to do the sniping-on-the-ground mode, but this earlier version 0f Unit 01 has limited articulation at the neck part, or in simplier terms, it has short neck. The head can't do a 90 degrees elevation.

A revise version of XS-01 Eva-01 Test Type. Coming end of this month or early next month. Few small changes to the head, the upper arms, hips, and feet.

MG Shin Musha Gundam

Gundam and Samurai. Definately a match made in heaven. Or maybe in this case, manufactured in some secret factory at Anaheim Electronics. We'll never know. lol. But there's one thing i'm not satisfied with this mecha. The Musha frame is based on RX 78 OYW (ver 1.5). Why don't the wait for the RX 78 ver 2.0 to come out first, then used its frame for the Musha Gundam. I bet that one day, Bandai with its "superior yet crap in the face" money making tactics will issue the Musha Gundam ver2.0!!! Time will tell. Anyway, this kit does stands out the crowds, like the Crossbone Gundams. A must buy!!. ^_^
