Evident ca nu m-am dus s-o vad in comedii pentru adolescente gen “Letter to Juliet” ori pentru bunici precum “Mamma mia!”, am ignorat trailerul “Red Riding Hood” dar am vazut-o in “&lt;b&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1637688/"&gt;In Time&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/b&gt;”, un curios film fantastic pe care-l asteptam la cotitura din cauza lui Andrew Niccol care m-a fermecat demult, cand cu “&lt;a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119177/"&gt;Gattaca&lt;/a&gt;”. Are aici Amanda un rol oarecum ingrat (o fata frumoasa, bogata si foarte sperioasa care descopera frisonii luptei cu timpul si se transforma intr-un fel de papusica Bonnie putin edulcorata, mai degraba sexy trash).&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

Tot Julianne care-mi place mie este cea facuta pentru melodrama, ea a fost superba Sarah, motorul unui film intimist precum “&lt;a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0172396/"&gt;The End of the Affair&lt;/a&gt;”, un Graham Greene in viziunea lui Neil Jordan si mai ales ea a fost Cathy in “&lt;a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0297884/"&gt;Far from Heaven&lt;/a&gt;” (m-am tot intrebat daca fantoma lui Douglas Sirk s-ar fi gandit la ea pentru “&lt;a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0052918/"&gt;Imitation of Life&lt;/a&gt;”).&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

Un bolnav lipsit de amintirea starii de sanatate, ba chiar mai rau, un bolnav care confunda sanatatea cu vreo boala trecatoare, usor de vindecat, si de care a suferit vreme de mai multi ani. N-am avut niciodata sentimentul vanzarii cartilor ca painea calda, nici macar atunci cand si cartile si painea lipseau din galantare si de pe rafturi: am numarat 6 minute si 21 de secunde si stocul de 500 de bucati alocat unui titlu cu de 60% reducere s-a topit ca zapada la soare. Am lasat balta cumparaturile ametita de frenezia online si de scurgerea stocurilor de carte pana la secare.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Contrapartea amaruie a acestui sentiment a fost ocazionata la numai cateva zile mai apoi, de vizita facuta in libraria mea preferata. Lume multa, tropaitoare si iscoditoare. Cartile insa locuiesc aici cu sfiala, cumva pierdute in excesul de ceaiuri, papusi, vinuri, paste, ceainice, hartii de ambalat, carnetele, tirbusoane, serviete si haine. Punctul de plecare il constituie tribulatiile Mozambicului in perioada imediat urmatoare proclamarii independentei, iar punctul de sosire ar fi un roman cu o legatura de chei lasata la vedere. Sunt folosite foarte mult referinte la traditia orala africana, limba este presarata cu cuvinte si expresii din dialectele locale, cu aluzii la credinte si practici din registrul etnologic.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

Asadar Ermelindo a murit candva cam cand Mozambicul isi castiga independenta si a fost inmormantat in graba, fara respectarea ritualului funerar, la umbra unui &lt;a href="http://www.baobabs.com/Plumerias_fv.htm"&gt;frangipani&lt;/a&gt; in curtea unei foste fortarete portugheze. Ca atare, mortul a ramas in starea confuza de &lt;i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;"&gt;xipoco&lt;/i&gt;, o umbra benigna si nelinistita, fara amintiri personale, care insa nu se poate desprinde de pamant. Tovaras ii este un pangolin si copacul acesta cu nume ciudat, singurul se pare in stare sa simuleze trecerea timpului prin infrunziri si desfrunziri succesive. In momentul in care linistea mormantului este perturbata de cei vii care vor sa-l transforme pe cel mort in erou national, pangolinul vine cu o solutie salvatoare: Ermelindo sa faca bine sa “ocupe” temporar corpul lui Izidine Naita, un tanar politai detasat de la centru in zona si destinat sa moara in urmatoarele sapte zile. Astfel mortul viu are ocazia sa moara cum trebuie, inca o data si bine. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Reinvierea temporara a lui Ermelindo, devenit un soi de doppelganger al tanarului politai (“ma ascund intr-un colt al sufletului lui, veghez atent sa nu-i tulbur intimitatea… merg impreuna cu el, merg inauntrul lui, merg eu, fiind el. Vorbesc cu cei cu care vorbeste. Doresc ce doreste. Visez ce viseaza”) este posibila pentru ca aparent sinele este o locuinta cu mai multe compartimente usor permeabile, dar distincte.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Ancheta politista desfasurata de Izidine prilejuieste cascade de confesiuni ale unora dintre pensionarii azilului de batrani al carui director fusese ucis in mod misterios cu putin timp in urma. Interogatoriul este pretextul reinvierii unei lumi deja disparute din care locatarii s-au retras demult iar crima are tot atatea variante cate personaje, pentru ca aparent toata lumea dorea sa-l ucida pe uratul de Vasto Excelencio. Naratiunea in rama aduna laolalta teme folclorice (trecutul vrajitoarei Naozinha, confesiunea lui Navaia), politice (Ernestina si Marta evoca in tonuri mult mai realiste razboiul, independenta, abuzurile politice, birocratia si spolierea la care se dedau membrii proaspatului guvern), ori pescuite din istoria coloniala (povestea lui Xidimingo). Aici adevarul nu este ceea ce pare a fi, ci produsul unei fabulatii generalizate in care fiecare isi aduce cu ravna aportul, o lucratura menita sa conjure realitatea. Care realitate mai exact? Personajele lui Couto traiesc intr-un spatiu decalat in care elicopterul militar si sarpele ceresc aducator de furtuna &lt;i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;"&gt;wamulambo&lt;/i&gt; sunt totuna, femeile se lichefiaza noaptea, ca atare dorm in cada, ori pot aduce pe lume acelasi copil de mai multe ori. Fraza este adesea inflorita si impodobita, metaforele curg, uneori au asa un aer sententios (“cine confunda cerul cu apa ajunge sa nu mai deosebeasca viata de moarte”) incat il suspectez pe autor de accente ironice pe alocuri.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Textul vehiculeaza insa destule naivitati atunci cand insista sa vorbeasca despre pierderea si degradarea traditiei, despre lumea aflata in postura de schimbare accelerata care respinge valorizarea trecutului, despre tineretea opaca la sensul lucrurilor pentru ca dezradacinata prin plecarea la studii occidentale. Astfel de reflectii artificiale plus cateva vagi reprosuri post coloniale strica teribil continuul liric al romanului. Sfarsitul este un ultra fantastic &lt;i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;"&gt;happy end&lt;/i&gt;, o fereastra prin care mortul se reintoarce impacat sa doarma “mai linistit decat moartea” impreuna cu toti batranii din azil deveniti anacronici.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

Traducerea semnata de Dan Shafran suna placut. Imi ramane mintea la platitudinea peisajului “supleant” si ma intreb daca acesta poate bantui si cinema-ul. Sa fie Jodorovsky? Povestile sale sunt atat de adevarate ”incat ar putea fi inventii”. Se spune ca mai ales curiozitatea unui colportor i-a descoperit talentul si i-a publicat prima carte fara stirea lui. Nu stiu sa fi fost tradus in limba romana, desi s-ar fi cuvenit sa fie, probabil ca astazi el este unul dintre ultimii marii povestitori-colportori.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 0.2in; text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 0.2in; text-align: justify;"&gt;Fiecare volumas de Jørn Riel incepe cu o prima pagina care plaseaza titlul cu pricina in cronologia trilogiilor si ciclurilor deja publicate pe care oricum le poti citi in ce ordine vrei. Fiecare carte este independenta si in acelasi timp legata de celelalte surate ale sale printr-o libera circulatie a personajelor, a stilului si mai ales a ambiantei polare in care toate aceste aventuri au loc. Timpul nu prea are importanta in acest context. Ca dovada, autorul dedica doua cicluri ternare de povestiri existentei unui trib inuit undeva &lt;i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;"&gt;in illo tempore&lt;/i&gt; si un set de culegeri de ”povestiri arctice” existentei unui grup de vanatori plasati in nord estul Groenlandei undeva la inceputul secolului XX.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 0.2in; text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: &amp;quot;Times New Roman&amp;quot;; font-size: 12pt;"&gt;Sunt doua lumi complet diferite, abordate de autor in tonalitati diferite. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Primul meu Jørn Riel, “Heq” alcatuieste impreuna cu “Arluk“ si “Soré” trilogia “&lt;i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;"&gt;Le Chant pour celui qui désire vivre&lt;/i&gt;” (Cantec pentru cel ce doreste sa traiasca) despre care voi vorbi probabil alta data. Am sa spun doar ca aceste povestei poseda gratia complicata si ceremonioasa cu care este relatat un mit iar cititorul se regaseste pe sine la sfarsit cumva coplesit si cumva vulnerabil, consecinta a unei experiente iesite din comun.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;De curand am atacat “&lt;i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;"&gt;La passion secrète de Fjordur&lt;/i&gt;” si am regretat ca nu cunosc daneza. Traducerea in franceza semnata de Susanne Juul si Bernard Saint Bonnet are savoare, rotunjime si consistenta, lucru care ma face sa banuiesc ca in limba originara o astfel de lectura rivalizeaza cu o experienta gustativa. Cartulia include 7 povestiri “groenlandeze” din complicata (acum disparuta) existenta a vanatorilor angajati de administratia coroanei daneze sa exploateze teritoriul sau cel mai Nordic, Groenlanda. Ca sa vii vanator al Companiei trebuie sa accepti sa imparti in doi sau chiar in trei o “statie”, sa treci cu brio de perioada de ucenicie de trei ani omorand singur un urs polar, sa-ti cresti singur cainii de sanie si de vanatoare, sa fii tolerant si mai ales primitor cu oaspetii cei mai deranjanti si mai ales sa-ti placa pustietatea bantuita de vanturi si lunga noapte polara.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Pentru neofiti, intalnirea cu Groenlanda este o revelatie mistica pe care autorul o descrie cu tandra ironie; pentru avocatul Volmersen de exemplu, purificat prin lunga ordalie datorata raului de mare indurat in timpul calatoriei cu vaporul, pamantul pietros si inghetat este o fecioara glaciala “bine facuta, intinsa pe spate si oferindu-se in toata goliciunea sa”.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;"&gt;Quand Volmersen posa le pied sur le granit groenlandais, il sentit, pour la première fois de sa vie, que le monde n’avait pas de limite. (…) Il saisit d’un coup la grandeur de la nature et la sienne propre. Il pensa “grandeur” mais aurait&amp;nbsp; aussi bien pu penser “divinité”. Parce que ce qu’il voyait, ce qu’il sentait en cet instant, était du domaine du sacré.&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Iata cum avocatul eficace si constiincios isi revede existenta trecuta ca pe o impostura si se converteste la agricultura-extrema ca hobby promovata de catre Conte. Acesta din urma, vanator cu numele, visator autoexilat in Groenlanda din placerea de a suferi adaptand soiuri diverse de vita-de-vie si cereale la solul imposibil si la frigul crancen este un soi de arbitru al savoir faire-ului local. Aveti dreptate, “localnici“ este mult spus pentru ca regiunea este un spatiu de tranzit. Esecurile sunt “reproduse“ de autor intr-un set de minipovestiri de dimensiuni epice cvasi homerice: pasiunea nemasurata a lui Sofus pentru ceea ce patiseria franceza numea altadata “&lt;i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;"&gt;tête de nègre&lt;/i&gt;” si concursul de tir organizat de Jalle pentru a se debarasa de prajiturile restante, tanjirea altuia pentru papagalii amazonieni, duelul “traditional-inuit” dintre Lause si Locotenent ori incrancenarea pe care o pune Lasselille in depistarea primului sau urs. Comunitatea este mica si transparenta, in ciuda distantelor mari care separa “statiile” locatarilor groenlandezi, ca atare pasiunile nu pot ramane secrete iar evenimentele speciale precum inaugurarea postului telegrafic, duelul intre doi rivali sau un concert de muzica se cer onorate de toata lumea. Se improvizeaza chiar activitati comune nemaiauzite precum tricotatul in grup sau activitati muzicale colective dupa cum urmeaza:&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;"&gt;... il faut ajouter qu’au cours du printemps, les chasseurs créèrent quelque chose de comparable à un petit orchestre symphonique. Bjørken, Mads Madsen, William, Fjordur, Lodvig et Valfred avaient chacun construit son propre instrument et se réunissaient une fois toutes les deux mois chez Doc et Mortensen pour l’apprentissage du solfège et les répetitions.&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;"&gt;Seul Valfred quitta l’orchestre en cours de route. Son instrument était constitué de huit bouteilles remplies et accordées sur chaque ton de la gamme.&amp;nbsp; Au plus grand désespoir de Doc, il se trouva que Valfred avait du mal à garder les accords intacts toute une soirée. Quand on examina son instrument à la recherche de la cause, on découvrit que les bouteilles&amp;nbsp; ré et fa avaient été remplies d’eau-de-vie et non pas d’eau pure, et que Valfred, en faisant ses gammes, avait bu de son instrument de telle sorte que le ré était devenu fa dièse et le mi bémol fa dièse et le mi bémol un la. Valfred re­çut un avertissement, mais le scandale se répéta et il fallut se résoudre à l’expulser.&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Personajele sunt cu toatele atat de nemasurate, incat imensitatea peisajului din fundal se face discreta. Natura nu este pitoresc pentru Jørn Riel, sentimentul imensitatii, libertatii si pustietatii sunt asimilate in comportamentele personajelor sale. Nu sunt de acord cu cei care vad in&amp;nbsp; povestioarele arctice ale lui Riel o dimensiune etnologica, un simplu exercitiu de imaginatie ii poate teleporta pe Mads Madsen, pe Lodvig, pe Conte sau pe nedespartitii Bjørken si Museau la antipozi fara ca acestia sa isi schimbe sfatosenia, naivitatile si naravurile.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Talentul autorului consta in subtilitatea cu care ajusteaza contururile acestei umanitati in condensat. Fantastice sunt mostrele de dialog imbinate cu stilul indirect. Demonstratia lui Bjørken pe tema influentei luminii si intunericului asupra psihicului lui Lasselille si pulsiunilor obsesionale arctice in general este o proba de maieutica socratica feroce de toata frumusetea. Lucru pe care preopinentul sau Museau (care incaseaza cu stoicism ironiile filozofului facandu-se vinovat de neglijenta in argumentatie) il poate certifica.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Umorul, prezent pana si in descrierea comportamentului animalelor salbatice (vezi ursoaica vinovata de a-l fi mancat “in legitima aparare” pe inspectorul venit in Groenlanda pentru a reglementa vanatoarea din ratiuni de protejare a ecosistemului) este mereu dublat de o unda de melancolie sau de gravitate metafizica care anuleaza distanta temporala intre atunci si acum. Iata o manevra care mi-a adus aminte de raporturile pe care le intretine Ingmar Bergman cu reamintirea &amp;nbsp;in “&lt;a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0050986/"&gt;Smultronstället&lt;/a&gt;”.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

Si asta chiar daca acesta exploateaza mai degraba incredibilele meandre ale vietii uneia dintre cele mai exemplare “voci” intr-ale traducerii, lasand cumva la o parte infernul luptei cu cuvintele.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

Cititorii care fac mofturi la traducere (de obicei mediocra, cartile au mai mult de 350 de pagini) sunt putini. Cititorii infocati nu dau banii pe variantele &lt;i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;"&gt;hardback&lt;/i&gt;, dar sunt in stare de multe cand urmarea seriei preferate intarzie mai mult de 6 luni. Cititorii cei mai contaminati sunt usor de recunoscut, isi poarta in avataruri personajele preferate si citatele cele mai sensibile. Si in sfarsit, cititorii cei mai abulici sunt cei care se dedica trup si suflet unui anumit autor sau unei anumite serii de autor astfel incat orice schimbare sau adaptare in alt format va fi judecata aspru. Acestia sunt “puristii”.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Eu ma consider infocata, foarte mofturoasa la traducerile standard, dar deloc fidela in fond, imi place sa variez si sa amestec povestile, pledand pentru diversitate. In acest context, primul volum din trilogia “The First Law” de Joe Abercrombie a fost comandat intr-o doara, ca sa vad cum se mai scrie in Marea Britanie. Altfel decat Terry Pratchett si Neil Gaiman.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;La ora respective habar nu aveam ca:&lt;/div&gt;&lt;ol start="1" style="margin-top: 0in;" type="1"&gt;&lt;li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Carticica de vreo 400 de pagini face parte      dintr-o trilogie agrementata cu inca doua volume in afara seriei.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Autorul se ocupa cu montajul de film &lt;i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;"&gt;freelance&lt;/i&gt;, pe langa scrierea si      degustarea de fantasy (ceea ce explica multe, mai ales descrierile de      scene de actiune).&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ol&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Pornesc de la premiza ca in fantasy metaconceptele si tropii care tin de narativitate sunt de mult fumati si parazitati de zona &lt;i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;"&gt;video game&lt;/i&gt; care ia ochii (si mintea) cu mai multa usurinta. Asta pentru ca zona cu pricina detine mai multe smecherii in maneca. Diferentele vor sta totdeauna in nuante, in abilitatea scriitorului de a improviza, in asocieri insolite (vrand nevrand, aici il recunosc ca maestru absolut pe Roger Zelazny, singurul in stare sa faca fantasy pe tema lumilor alternative altfel decat in “the Princess and the Frog”).&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Abercrombie este genul clasic, solid ancorat intr-o fictiune zdravana care se complace in descriptii de personaje si in stilul indirect liber al monologului. Nu afectioneaza dialogurile cine stie ce. Cartea are aparente greoaie pentru ca autorul adora sa-si construiasca personajele din mers. Trebuie spus ca se calatoreste destul de mult in “The Blade Itself” ; o lume statica isi pierde repede farmecul, vezi cel de-al doilea volum din “&lt;a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Curse_of_Chalion"&gt;The Curse of Chalion&lt;/a&gt;” de &lt;a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lois_McMaster_Bujold"&gt;Lois McMaster Bujold&lt;/a&gt;, o aproape catastrofa datorita optiunii pentru “calatoria domesticita” intr-un spatiu foarte previzibil si fara amploare epica.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;In mare perspectiva geopolitica propusa de Abercrombie are frumoase similiaritati cu geografia actuala :o Uniune de regate in zona de centru destul de dezbinata, un Imperiu de sud cu aer absolutist-oriental si o democratie autarhica simili saxono-vikinga in Nord. Pe langa asta, niste insule fantastice cu care cred ca ma voi intalni in volumul doi si&amp;nbsp; nimic mai mult decat un Capat al Lumii (cum altfel?). In contraparte cu acesta, Lumea are bineinteles un Centru, aflat in insasi capitala Uniunii, mai précis in mauzoleul Facatorului (nu prea stiu cum se va traduce The Maker). Am uitat sa precizez de la inceput, “The Blade Itself“ sparge traditia volumului de fantasy agrementat cu o harta, in buna traditie tolken-iana. E un semn ca Facatorul&amp;nbsp; si Autorul in acelasi timp nu se incurca cu aspectele de detaliu ale mapamondului, ci mai degraba cu raporturile dintre personaje.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Planisfera lui Abercrombie intretine de asemenea conflicte tipice: coruptie si neintelegeri intre Nord si Sud, un &lt;i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;"&gt;rex otiosus&lt;/i&gt; sau mai degraba senil la mijloc, un imparat hulpav si grandoman, un rege autointitulat cu forta in Nord cu ambitii de Charlemagne. Nu-i scapa autorului nici conflictele rasiale; populatiile negroide din sud au o parere execrabila despre populatiile aflate la nord (in &lt;i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;"&gt;slang&lt;/i&gt;-ul folosit de Ferro, &lt;i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;"&gt;pink&lt;/i&gt; conota rasial o creatura greoaie, lipsita de agilitate, necredincioasa si mai ales deschisa la piele).&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Civilizatia amesteca fara probleme aspecte medievale timpurii (ocurenta lui “barbar” este lejer suparatoare) si relativ tarzii (armurile si instrumentarul razboinic), cu tinute vestimentare bizantine (robele demnitarilor din Dagoshka) si detalii mult mai tarzii (baia este luata de Bayaz si de Glokta in camere speciale, exista banci si bancheri care tin ostatica puterea &lt;i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;"&gt;de facto&lt;/i&gt;, confreriile si ghildele au putere politica, turnirul este un joc de societate cu sabii boante). Sa zicem ca daca nu facem mofturi, putem compara aceasta ambianta cu un soi de sfarsit de Ev Mediu combinat cu Renasterea europeana aflata la apogeu.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Cateva detalii sunt comice: antrenamentul lui Jezal mi-a adus aminte de” Rocky”, sportul &amp;amp; musculatura, dieta si abstinenta de la alcool sunt la urma urmei inventii tarzii in imaginea corporala masculine. Alte detalii sunt caraghioase (violenta domestica invocata de Ardee este comportament negativ ca in banalul secol XX al istoriei sociale&lt;i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;"&gt; en titre&lt;/i&gt;).&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;In ansamblul acesta destul de abstract se contureaza fara graba si cu multe detururi personajele principale: Vrajitorul (Bayaz e un tip care seamana mai degraba cu un macelar), Razboinicul (Logan Ninefingers aduce infiorator cu Rocky Balboa prin fizic, naivitate si oboseala cronica), Navigatorul (abia creionat in primul volum, genul limbut si descurcaret), Ciracul (Malacus Quai este un nume cum nu se poate mai nimerit pentru tanarul fara aparente calitati). Exista bineinteles si o Ea primprejur. In mod curios &amp;nbsp;masinaria narativa o aduce in prim plan destul de tarziu si cu relativa bruschete. Fosta sclava, actuala fugara angajata in activitati haotice de gherila, Ferro este singurul personaj feminin cat de cat inchegat. Ea se remarca prin agilitate, impulsivitate si o capacitate uimitoare de autovindecare. Insa la strategie si echilibru emotional salbatica aceasta are intotdeauna nota zero. &lt;a href="http://www.sfsite.com/09a/bl231.htm"&gt;Nu sunt singura&lt;/a&gt; care ca observat ca personajele feminine sunt ingrozitor de incomplete, schematice sau discarnate; printesa Terez, Ardee, damele de la curte, vrajitoarea Caurib seamana cu abstractiunile figurand ca femei de pe cartile de joc.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Inca nu-mi dau seama ce rol joaca Jezal dan Luthar in toata povestea asta, probabil el este Natangul-care-se-maturizeaza pana la urma. “The Blade Itself” este astfel de fapt un preambul in vestiarul caruia se incheaga grupul care in ultimele plagini pleaca in cautarea aventurii la capatul lumii. Trebuie spus ca sabia-insasi din titlu (a lui Bayaz? a zeului?) este foarte discreta pentru moment.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Un ultim lucru intrigant merita deja semnalat: religia. Mai precis raportul dintre religie si magie. In prim plan se afla tragica confruntare Master Maker si Kanedias care ar fi avut loc realmente candva si ar fi dat nastere la ceva care cu siguranta nu este lumea, aceasta preexistand conflictului. Moartea prin inselaciune a acestui Master Maker ar fi sursa unui rit cvasi inexistent sau cazut in uitare a carui singura ramasita este domul caruia autorul ii dedica unul dintre cele mai interesante capitole ale volumului. Explorarea mauzoleului este un fel de condensat al calatoriei care va sa vina; pasajele lungi si foarte descriptive sunt construite interesant, ca un joc de oglinzi si reflectari intre interioritatile fiecarui participant la explorarea acestui teritoriu misterios. Mi-a placut felul in care autorul stie sa dispuna de &lt;i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;"&gt;thrill&lt;/i&gt; fara a face apel la efecte ieftine ori explicatii prea detaliate.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Revenind la religie, aceasta ramane o abstractie care nu explica indestul rolul Inchizitiei. Ceea ce nu-l impiedica pe Abercrombie sa construiasca un inchizitor Glokta deloc unilinear, cu ambitii, indoieli, fixatii si cruzimi care se incheaga intr-un personaj complex. Episodul care-l umanizeaza pe Glokta este secventa in care acesta se improvizeaza in detectiv cu apucaturi de amploaiat FBI, iar cel mai patetic vizeaza reinnodarea amicitiei cu locotenentul West.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;In ceea ce priveste magia, neasteptata si placuta este secventa in care Logan Ninefingers vorbeste cu spiritele focului, ideea unei magii primitive aflate pe cale de disparitie din cauze banuite dar nu confirmate imi place. Aceasta este cumva excentrica “stiintei” magice, la fel si creaturile decazute (Shanka) ori compozite (uriasul albastru si Mancatorii). “Stiinta” de care vorbeam este magia-mestesug, bazata pe studiu si practica, semanand cumva cu amestecul de alchimie-herbologie si medicina practicat acum cateva secole. Contrapartea ei este practica lui Khallul care reuseste sa creeze golemi precum mancatorii de oameni (episodul interactiunii dintre Ferro, cei doi Mancatori neexperimentati si batranul mag este remarcabil prin concizie). Dualitatea permis-nepermis in ceea ce priveste practicile magice este putin cam superficiala (atat canibalismul cat si invocarea demonilor sunt argumente destul de ambigui pentru a le transforma in fundamente ale unei “stari spirituale” precum ar trebui sa fie magia intr-o dimensiune fantastica. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Traducerea e lucru mare. Mai ales cand este vorba de etichetele unor produse venite de la antipozi. Acestea (etichetele, nu produsele) poseda o curioasa caracteristica: descrierea produsului este inlocuita de mici panseuri complet decontextualizate traduse in engleza cu ajutorul motoarelor de traducere automate. Rezultatul seamana cu loteria papagalilor, este adica sibilin si deseori poetic.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

Una dintre acestea din urma priveste reteaua de librarii Diverta, nascuta fiind din multiplele mici incidente inregistrate cu ocazia vizitelor in vreuna din librarii in care mi s-a intarit convingerea ca am de-a face cu o hala de papetarie cu un raion de carte auxiliar destinat necititorilor. Cireasa de pe tort a fost hidosenia diverteasca instalata in centrul orasului, peste drum de Carturesti, in spatiul prost gandit/luminat/organizat din locatia fostului magazin Eva. Mi-am jurat atunci sa nu mai pun piciorul in vreo hala diverteasca oriunde ar fi ea si asa am facut pana mai ieri.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

Practicata cu asiduitate de pamfletul politic si ilustrata de inevitabila caricatura, aceasta se declina in “n” exemple dintre care cel mai productiv pare a fi motivul perei. Despre acesta a ales scriitorul de benzi desenate Fabrice Erre sa diserteze intr-un eseu dragalas, “&lt;span style="color: black;"&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.champ-vallon.com/Pages/PagesChosePublique/Erre.html"&gt;Le règne de la poire: caricatures de l'esprit bourgeois de Louis-Philippe à nos jours&lt;/a&gt;” (ed. Champ Vallon, coll. “La chose publique”) care sub aparentele unui studiu asupra imaginarului satiric politic de la sfarsitul sec XIX incoace ascunde, dupa parerea maestrului de Baecque un parcurs antropologic al imaginarului care a dus la “pirificarea” detinatorului puterii politice de la Louis-Philippe incoace, multumita libertatii de expresie garantata in perioada guvernarii sale. Para ca o cristalizare a caldutei cai de mijloc, ca referire (auto)ironica la baza sociala a regimului burghez isi trage “rotunjimile” semantice si simbolice din deceniile prealabile menite sa legimiteze economic viziunea lui Guizot.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

Cand a fost intrebat care ii este cartea de capatai, acesta a raspuns “Nu ma intereseaza cartile”&lt;span style="color: navy;"&gt;. &lt;/span&gt;Acum zece ani, acelasi patron ar fi afirmat “Il recitesc pe Proust” chiar daca n-ar fi fost adevarat. Astazi lumea nu se mai simte jenata sa spuna de-a dreptul ca putin ii pasa de carti.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Rareori ma simt atinsa de aripa inspiratiei atunci cand este vorba de arta contemporana, inot contra curentului atunci cand este vorba de tendinte, stiluri si scoli care s-au perindat prin muzee in ultimii 50 de ani. Propria mea reactie m-a surprins acum un deceniu cand am reactionat pozitiv la “&lt;a href="http://paris1900.lartnouveau.com/paris01/les_colonnes_de_buren.htm"&gt;oroarea&lt;/a&gt;” din curtea interioara de la Palais Royal semnata de Daniel Buren si purtand pretentiosul nume de “Les Deux Plateaux” (un dalaj pustiit semanat cu coloane de inaltimi variabile, numai dungi albe si negre).&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;a name='more'&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;L-am pierdut din vedere pe Buren, am trecut ca vantul de scandalul iscat de costisitoarea restaurare a instalatiei de la Palais Royal, nu m-a interesat deloc faptul ca artistul a ajuns sa fie expus la muzeul Guggenheim, dupa ce in urma cu 35 de ani aproximativ curatorii i-au refuzat o expozitie.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Intamplator am dat peste &lt;a href="http://www.centrepompidou-metz.fr/daniel-buren-echos-travaux-situ"&gt;punctul expozitional construit ”in situ” de catre Daniel Buren la Centrul Pompidou-Metz&lt;/a&gt;, ultimul etaj. Suprapunerea cu ramasitele expozitiei “Chefs d’œuvre?” dedicate artei moderne si contemporane din sec XX repeta &lt;a href="http://www.aiga.org/daniel-buren-occupying-the-page/"&gt;figura&lt;/a&gt; de la Guggenheim 2005 cand Buren a tinut sa invadeze (pentru o zi) intregul muzeu cu instalatia “Peinture-Sculpture”.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Desi dungile sunt se pare pentru artist “unealta vizuala” cu se care se testeaza si concepe un nou spatiu, tot scotocind am fost uimita sa vad ca alte spatii expozitionale precum &lt;a href="http://ilikethisart.net/?p=10238-"&gt;Kunsthalle&lt;/a&gt; din Baden Baden au beneficiat de alte figuri geometrice. Din alte scotoceli am aflat ca mania artistului este improvizatia ecourilor vizuale cu tenta conceptualista in functie de spatiul acordat. Doua elemente compun &lt;a href="http://www.centrepompidou-metz.fr/daniel-buren-echos-travaux-situ"&gt;expozitia de la Pompidou-Metz&lt;/a&gt;: unul este sala oglinzilor care deconstruiesc imensa vedere asupra orasului intr-un stilizat ton “&lt;i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;"&gt;inception&lt;/i&gt;”-esc: turnurile catedralei se pot dedubla sau sectiona, blocurile stil anii 70 se curbeaza in forme admirabile sau se golesc de substanta la mijoc, turlele bisericilor se indoaie sau se declina in n-variante. Pentru cunoscatorii topografiei “adevarate”, perspective se roteste cu 90%. Dungile nu lipsesc, de data aceasta ele par a fi folosite ca jaloane intr-un spatiu pe care oglinzile il reconstruiesc fara incetare (instalarea lor a durat, cred, vreo 3 luni de zile).&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

Alaturi, instalatia “Cabanes éclatées imbriquées” se joaca cu superpozitia spatiilor (curbe/dreptunghiuri, cadre&amp;nbsp; unghiulare), a materiilor (opacul si oglindirea) si a culorilor (cele mai acidulate variante de rosu, galben si turcoaz se sting in negru sau in albul cel mai neutru de bordura). Am revazut filmul acum o luna poate la cinemateca si-am tot adunat “pietricelele“ pe care le-a lasat ici-colo in siajul sau filmul acesta devenit cult: contracultura hippie, bikeri pacifisti de inainte de Hell’s Angels, comunitatile din desert cu gestica lor criptica,  George Hanson si &lt;a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/LMc-T6z0YyM&amp;amp;hl=en&amp;amp;fs=1"&gt;finalul doboritor&lt;/a&gt; care se decide sa panorameze post mortem cele doua maluri ale fluviului Mississipi pe genericul de final.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Pentru unii delirul LSD  filmat in 16 mm ca un film de vacanta, montat cu barda si supraexpus cu cruzime este un fel de &lt;a href="http://www.filmcritic.com/misc/emporium.nsf/reviews/Easy-Rider"&gt;secventa mama&lt;/a&gt; pentru portretul halucinogen cinematografic de dupa 1969, poate &lt;a href="http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/12879/easy-rider-35th-anniversary-deluxe-edition/"&gt;cea mai buna&lt;/a&gt; de acest gen. M-a frapat melopeea religioasa pe patru voci a textului cu adieri psihanalitice si fundal sonor metalic ("&lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;Oh Mother why didn't you tell me? Why didn't anybody tell me anything? ... What are you doing to me now? ... Shut up! ... How could you make me hate you so? ... Oh God, I hate you so much.&lt;/span&gt;") si mizanscena care face tot ce poate sa separe cele patru identitati pierdute asa cum multi si-au imaginat pictural si cinematografic apocalipsa. Nu-mi plac defel ciorbele astea care programeaza, ca si anul trecut, “&lt;a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0053270/"&gt;Shadows&lt;/a&gt;”, apoi “&lt;a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0084133/"&gt;Incubus&lt;/a&gt;” si apoi “&lt;a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0065867/"&gt;Husbands&lt;/a&gt;”. Ceva care ar trebui sa te ajute sa-ti faci o idee despre ce voia taticul filmului independent american ca regizor (lipsesc “&lt;a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0062952/"&gt;Faces&lt;/a&gt;“ si “&lt;a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0072417/"&gt;A Woman Under the Influence&lt;/a&gt;”) si cam cum juca el ca actor - de ce nu si “&lt;a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0061578/"&gt;The Dirty Dozen&lt;/a&gt;” al lui Aldrich atunci ? De ce nu partitura din serialul TV “&lt;a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0052479/"&gt;Johnny Stacatto&lt;/a&gt;”, &lt;a href="http://archive.sensesofcinema.com/contents/cteq/04/johnny_staccato.html"&gt;aici&lt;/a&gt; un articol interesant despre aceasta prestatie? De ce nu rolul din “&lt;a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0063522/"&gt;Rosemary’s Baby&lt;/a&gt;” cotat a fi cel mai bun exemplu de mostra de Cassavetes actor ? De ce nu “&lt;a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0058262/"&gt;The Killers&lt;/a&gt;” cu Lee Marvin ?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;”Incubus” (din 1981 in regia canadianului John Hough) ramine un thriller de mina a doua care se face ca doreste sa cultive misterul si care nu-i prea lasa actorului mare lucru de facut. Ici colo, avem parte de accente horror. Copia este atit de palita incit culorile filmului par nefiresti si transforma personajele in pensionari ai unui muzeu de ceara. Tema vrajitoriei vazuta ca emanatie a unui grup endogam (si prin aceasta nonconforma cu moralitatea) este tratata la modul foarte american. Sexualitatea aberanta a incubului este abordata cu stingacie.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://dryden.eastmanhouse.org/media/shadows.jpg"&gt;&lt;img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 375px; height: 261px;" src="http://dryden.eastmanhouse.org/media/shadows.jpg" alt="" border="0" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;font-size:85%;" &gt;"Shadows"&lt;/span&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Pe “Shadows” (1959) l-am vazut anul trecut si m-am ingrozit, nu intelegeam nimic din dialogurile nesubtitrate, actiunea imi zbura pe la urechi, mirosea a jazz peste tot, oamenii intrau si ieseau din cadru cu nonsalanta, camera se invirtea si le cauta fetele cu incapatinare in prim planuri care parca turtea fruntile si obrajii. Ulterior am aflat povestea lui “Shadows”, un film experiment eminamente inventat si finantat in parte printr-o colecta publica lansata intr-o doara la radio, fara scenariu, cu actori necunoscuti sau improvizati filmat in stada, mormait, fredonat, inginat si atit de neinteligibil incit a trebuit sa fie ulterior dublat pentru iesirea in salile americane. M-am simtit usurata. Pelicula in alb negru este atit de tulbure si de ambigua, incit e imposibil sa nu-i percepi eleganta.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Europa l-a adorat pe Cassavetes dupa ce, ani dupa aceea a descoperit “Shadows” si mai ales “Faces”, se vorbeste acum despre o certa influenta Cassavetes asupra dogmaticilor danezi si asupra lui von Trier in special. ”Shadows” este insa foarte departe de dementa dogmatica de mult mai tirziu, am gasit aici o constructie haotica apropiata de stranietatea unei teme de jazz. Dialogurile se agata unele de altele asa cum, intr-un cvartet, exista un instrument care sustine linia muzicala, iar celelalte vin si se grefeaza in asonante si disonante care imita discutiile dintre oameni. Urechea percepe bucati si frinturi dintre acestea, nicidecum esentialul pe care doar o reascultare sau interpretarea unui specialist o poate revela. Numai feelingul muzical pe care-l ai vrind nevrind in fata lui “Shadows” ii poate explica coplesitoarea melancolie, pe care nu o vei gasi in veci in curiozitatea uscata a dogmaticilor. Se discuta la modul foarte serios daca cineastul adora improvizatia sau aceasta este atent controlata. In comparatie cu “Shadows”, “Husbands“ este mai crud, partitura pentru trei personaje si orchestra de figuranti atrage prin altceva: inefabilul nu mai este, lumea se alcatuieste din aceleasi frinturi de discutii care vor totdeauna sa insemne ceva dar care la modul “ultrarealist” nu se termina niciodata. M-a socat comparatia cu neo-realistii, zau asa, de cind fragmentele de ginduri si sentimentele nelamurite sint realiste?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Povestea suna cam asa: a fost odata un grup de patru prieteni pe care-i cunoastem dintru  inceput inca din fotografii. Patru tipi de virsta medie, casatoriti, cu cit mai multi copii posibil, cu joburi stabile si una-doua case, probleme de cuplu poate sau numai probleme personale. Intr-o zi unul dintre ei moare in floarea virstei, ceilalti trei se decid sa regreseze la virsta adolescentei si sa fuga de la casele lor citeva zile. Este mai multa psihologie in dialogurile din “Husbands“ decit intr-un intreg tom despre deziluziile firesti ale virstei de mijloc. Filmul combina atitudini precum “as fi putut fi un bun jucator de baseball/fotbal american/polo etc“ cu “as fi putut calatori n toata lumea” sau “as fi putut avea o alta femeie” sau “as fi putut sa ma imbat fara sa trebuiasca sa-mi para rau dupa aceea”. Titlul musteste de intelesuri: Harry, Gus si Archie sint niste soti in vacanta improvizata si nicidecum niste barbati in adevaratul sens al cuvintului. Dialogul ar putea fi obiect de studiu pentru cei care cauta “firescul”: nu sint bucati surprinse de catre Cassavetes in cine stie ce fund de bar in care trei betivi se cearta si se impaca dupa aceea, importanta este uluitoarea verosimilitate. Fireasca este si lupta intre barbati si femei din filmul acesta, “&lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;du brut&lt;/span&gt;” cum ar spune francezul. Intre un barbat si o femeie nu exista  decit forta fizica cu nuante mai mult sau mai putin sado-masochiste de ambele parti. Cei trei soti concentreaza umanitatea masculina in intregime fara a se constitui in tipuri. Asta este firescul lui Cassavetes la urma urmei.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Mi-e nu stiu cum sa vorbesc despre modernitatea acestui frumos nebun independent si alergic la orice constringere, fondatorul scolii din NY, iubitorul filmului de “trupa” (in acelasi standard intra si Bergman si Fassbinder), interesat de teatru (ca si Bergman, Fassbinder si von Trier) dar iubind sincer cinematograful (spre deosebire de von Trier). Si de ce ma rog sa nu-l vedem pe acesta la pachet cu “Intolerance” al lui Griffith? De vazut pentru rolul delicios pe care il face Sean Penn. Cum putin imi pasa de Oscaruri, habar nu am daca filmul a intrat in competitie sau nu, subiectul se preteaza la asta (tot ce tine de drepturile civice este selectionat cu usurinta la premiile astea cu atit de putina valoare) si nu se preteaza (vezi ceea ce a patit “&lt;a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0388795/"&gt;Brokeback Mountain&lt;/a&gt;”).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Am &lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;adorat&lt;/span&gt; mica polemica creata in jurul filmului atunci cind cenzura locala l-a interzis spectatorilor sub 18 ani pe motiv ca subiectul "face propaganda pentru o orientare sexuala". Intre cenzorii nostri de pe malul Dimbovitei si Anita Bryant &amp;amp; talibanismul protestant din anii 70-80, nici o diferenta. Mi-a placut campania initiata de Stefan Dobroiu si Cinemagia pe marginea &lt;a href="http://www.cinemagia.ro/news.php?news_id=11082&amp;amp;wnd=_default&amp;amp;hist=1"&gt;motivatiilor avansate de catre cenzura locala&lt;/a&gt;, zau, ne situam undeva intre Singapore si Afganistan. As vrea sa vad filmul in afara subiectului politic, dar nu prea pot, conditionata fiind de amintiri amarui. Imi aduc aminte acum citiva ani, la sala Union era programat un foarte cuminte festival “gay&amp;amp;lesbian” (la noi astfel de festivaluri intra cu documentare in mare parte si nicidecum cu fictiuni) dublat fiind cu un mars de acelasi fel care pina la urma s-a soldat cu batai, cu isterii ale studentilor teologi si cu tot felul de inscriptii care frizeaza prostia. In acelasi timp, la “Union” nu mai ramasese decit proiectionistul si persoana care asigura subtitrarile filmelor care pina la urma nu s-au mai dat, de frica sa nu intre derbedeii teologi sa distruga sala de cinema in numele intolerantei lor.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Sint convinsa ca foarte multi cred ca homosexualitatea se ia, ca e o boala (asta desi a fost abrogat articolul acela care pedepsea penal aceasta orientare sexuala), ca homosexual inseamna pedofilie, prostitutie, deturnare de minori, droguri si toate relele din lume. Realizatorul a facut un film care sa marseze mult pe ideologie si pe manipulare, care ideologie si manipulare functioneaza glorios si astazi; este deci imposibil sa vorbesti despre film fara sa nu atingi si problema activismului si a drepturilor minoritatilor de orice fel or fi ele. Mi-ar place sa scriu totusi o cronica mult mai centrata pe film (amestecul de documentar si imagini de arhiva cu fictiunea, inserturile prilejuite de citatele din ziare, fotografiile sint cred modificate dupa look-ul lui Sean Penn) care sa nu doreasca sa intre in polemici legate de subiect. Mi-ar place sa scriu despre delicatetea lui Van Sant (comparatie posibila cu Gregg Araki?) de a filma “dragostea la masculin” si manierele de tip dulce pe care le adopta Sean Penn, interactiunea fizica dintre personaje (atingerile, surisurile si privirile cu subinteles). De urmarit exploatarea corporalitatii (Scotty in piscina, de exemplu, este pur si simplu frumos) care nu se mai rezuma numai la corpul adolescent gratios distorsionat de perioada de crestere (“Elephant”, “Paranoid Park”). Barbatii lui Van Sant sint absolut normali si nu variante de &lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;pin-up&lt;/span&gt; la masculin, 100% urbani, cultivati si sociabili, pentru care notiunea de &lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;coming out&lt;/span&gt; nu este necesarmente o fronda. “Brokeback Mountain“ pune, cu cowboy-i lui de la munte, o cu totul alta problematica gay, mult mai intimista si mai dramatica.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_pxts7tB7dJM/SY1LgmC_l7I/AAAAAAAAAqw/QJuI-9pNO8o/s1600-h/Milk+grup.jpg"&gt;&lt;img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_pxts7tB7dJM/SY1LgmC_l7I/AAAAAAAAAqw/QJuI-9pNO8o/s320/Milk+grup.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5299975359825942450" border="0" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Se pare ca voi rata iremediabil “&lt;a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0864761/"&gt;The Dutchess&lt;/a&gt;“ (ultima sansa saptamina asta la “Patria”) ma incapatinez sa judec filmul dupa trailerul care rezuma foarte corect o poveste moderna de divort in costume de epoca. Probabil un &lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;happening&lt;/span&gt; involuntar din partea  realizatorului.
