Why did you change
An overhaul of has been long overdue. With our new content management system in place, we had an opportunity to take advantage of new capabilities and deliver a better user experience for our readers.
This new site was designed with our online readers in mind, and the numerous ways they enjoy consuming news and information across a number of digital devices. The site was built utilizing a fairly new technology referred to as "responsive design -", which dynamically adjusts our Web pages to conform to the best fit for the device and browser type you are using. What this means is that you no longer need to have an app or special "device specific” Web address to enjoy on your smartphone or tablet.

What does "PUBLIC BETA" mean?
Redesigning a major news site like requires the help of many hands and is a process requiring multiple refinements along the way. By launching our site in a "public beta" mode, we are giving our readers an opportunity to give us comments for site improvements and point out fixes we need to address before finalizing changes to our Website.

The story or page I had bookmarked no longer works. How can I find this content?
Almost all of the content that existed on the former still exists on the new The best way to find your story is by using the search bar at the top of the page. If you still cannot find what you are looking for, please use the feedback button under the Home navigation to let us know and we will do our best to help you locate the story.

What happened to my comments?
Comments left on the former were not carried over to the new site. Because of the way Facebook commenting works, we were unable to move those over with the new site. You are encouraged to continue commenting on stories where any future comments will be kept.

I used to be able to read stories that were years old on Why can't I do this now?
We have made the previous 90 days content available to read at no cost. Stories that are older than 90 days can be accessed through our news archive widget located at the bottom of our Search page for a fee.

What about the pictures I submitted to the old site?
We are in the process of moving all the photos submitted through the former to the new site. We encourage you to create an account on this site and continue to upload your great photos to the new site.

What happened to
The URL will still work, but will bring you to We've integrated into the new site to better focus our resources on delivering a complete sports and news package online. In addition to all the great information you used to get on, you also now get expanded preps sports information by school and more sports video highlights.
