Hi guys,

So I thought I might as well make a list of shops that have a petite clothing range.
Not just some short peices - they actually have to have a whole special petite section. For example I'm sure that bhs might have some short length ranges, but they don't have a petite section on their site so they can't be included in this list.

Skiing - where can we find petite salopettes

So I'm back from skiing in Andorra... it was fab! And best of all I found some petite salopettes!!

So I thought I would share these with you. I got mine in a Trespass outlet in Newcastle but you can get them too in short length at The Skiwear Service or search for Trespass Halma Ladies trousers and you should be able to get them.

Yo Shorty - catering to the petite lady

I've just had a thought... after searching around for a bit and speaking to some of the fab online shops that sell petite fashion, I've realised that we are one of the few sites dedicated to reviewing Petite clothing!!

Can you believe that! With so many women being under 5'3" I can't believe that Yo Shorty is the only site that does this.

Oh well I suppose I should just keep going as I am then! After all what would you all do if I wasn't here to trawl the internet looking for the best petite clothing?

Petite Jeans at Dorothy Perkins

Ok, ok so I just love the petite jeans from Dorothy Perkins. Unlike some other shops where things are a different size every time you try them on, I don't even have to try on the jeans in the petite range at Dotty P's!!

No matter what colour or what size, they fit! It's like magic or something. Go to the Petite Jeans section at Dorothy Perkins by clicking on this link.

They have sizes 8 to 22 so they basically cater for the majority of us... which is fab! My favourite is the skinny flare petite jeans. Check them out here.

Marks&Spencers Petite Trousers

Well I know what you're thinking, "god this is a cool blog starting with M&S!" But checking out their site they seem to have a great petite fashion section at really reasonable prices... who would have thunk it??

So here are my fav petite trousers from that fantastic British Institution that is marks and sparks...

High waisted wide leg petite trousers - only £15

Perfect for work, the high waist will make your legs look about two inches longer... and that can't be bad!

Petite Skinny Jeans - only £12

Oh yes, you read it right, SKINNY jeans on a petite. I'm a lovely size 14 with what I would consider ample thighs and I'm telling you this now, once you've gone skinny there's no going back. Plus at £12 they're a steal!

Petite (short) jogger bottoms - £18

I couldn't overlook the holy grail of petite leg length that is short jogging bottoms! Black, plain and simple, perfect for the gym a run or lazing about. You'll be thanking me when you get your hands on these.

Petite Nautical Marl Trousers - £35

So I've welcomed you to the site and I thought it was worth me introducing myself. I'm Petite Vikki and I'm the one who got so sick of their being no sites dedicated to Petite Fashion I made a blog myself... and you never know, one day it might flurish into a fully fledged website!

My mission is to get a listing on here for every petite clothing range online. I might die doing it, but it'll all be worth it if I can know deep down that I've helped the little people - bum,bum... that was a joke! I'm sorry but you must have a sense of humor to come to a site called yo shorty in the first place right?

Other than shopping I love watching soaps, and programmes like Dancing on Ice and Strictly Come Dancing. So if something goes on in Hollyoaks or another programme I like you might see a post on here about that too!

Oh and shoes, and belts and accessories, I love them... they always fit! So if I see something nice on my hunt I'll add it in here too.

Here at yo shorty we are sick of looking for petite clothing and finding the dregs of fashion. We want petite everything... oh and did I say we really hate all the tall models who parade clothing around that we would love to have but are just too short to wear.

We also understand that petite is not a set measurement. I'm the same hight as my sister give or take a centimeter (well, more like take away a centimeter) and you know what... my bum is about 2 inches lower than hers!

I know I'm a freak! I sometimes have to take trousers up by 6 inches... and then normal tops are a little too short. Just goes to show not all petites are the same. Me I'm a petite trouser girl, my friend Shaz is a petite lady all over and can't for the life of her find size 6 petite clothing.

My mother is a size 20 and is just over 5 foot, so she is looking for plus size petite clothing. My Nanna is under five foot and can't find fashionable petite clothing for the over fifties. My sister has a big chest and a small torso... where can she find petite fitted tops? No where... until now!

I'm going to make it my mission to find all of the petite clothing ranges online and blog about them for women who like all good things come in small packages - what a cliche, I love it!
