This is a big one! Listen Carefully.

No matter how busy, overwhelmed, or unseen you may feel, there’s something I’ve come to trust deeply over the years—both as a nurse and as a spiritual seeker:

No thought goes unheard.

A spiritual teacher once said to me,
“The universe has ears.”

It’s listening to everything EVERYTHING you think iin your mind.

AND speak out loud with your mouth. WOW!

That really stuck with me.

Not in a punitive way.
Not in a shaming way.
But in a deeply intelligent, responsive, relational way.

Every thought we hold carries energy.
Every inner conversation creates momentum.
And the law of cause and effect is always quietly at work—
whether we’re aware of it or not.

As nurses, this matters deeply.

We work in environments saturated with stress, urgency, suffering, and responsibility.
We absorb more than we’re ever taught how to release.

Over time, the thoughts we repeat—
about ourselves, our work, our limits—
begin to shape not just our mood, but our:

Dear nurse,

We’re diving into a topic that’s critical for all professionals, but particularly for those in demanding roles like nursing.

This week, we’re focusing on the importance of work-life balance and the risks of overworking.

First, we want to introduce you to a Japanese term, ‘Karoshi‘, which means death by overwork. Sounds scary, right? But it’s a real issue. Overworking can lead to a state of constant fatigue and serious health problems. Remember, it’s vital to take regular breaks and keep a healthy work-life balance.

Watch the short video below:

Secondly, not only can overworking lead to physical health problems, but it can also cause mental breakdowns. High levels of work-related stress can result in despair and significant mental health challenges. So, take care of your mind just as much as your body.

Finally, even though overworking can cause the body and mind to break down, your spirit remains untouched. The term ‘in spiritus‘ suggests a state of being inspired, filled with spirit. Keeping your spirit alive and inspired can help you cope with the pressures of overwork.

We’d love to hear your thoughts on this topic.

How do you maintain a work-life balance? Have any tips to share? Also, feel free to suggest topics for our future newsletters. Stay healthy and inspired! In Spiritus.

May peace & love go with you wherever you go,

Love Annette And Team YogaNurse

P.S.

Image quote by author Jackson Kiddard

Today is September 30. I write this from my historic town of Beaufort by the Sea, in North Carolina.

It’s pouring down rain. Florida has just been through a historic hurricane. We offer prayers and help as we can for those who have been devastated

Devastation comes in many forms.

Call it chaos.

My latest obsession on the spiritual journey is understanding the role chaos can play and is guaranteed to play in our lives.

Be it personal relationships, broken hearts, hurricanes, war, threat of nuclear annihilation, death of a loved one, losses, financial or otherwise, chaos on the floor as a nurse or any area of nursing, chaos is here to stay.

What to do? One of my premier teachers is Carolyn Myss. She enlightened me about chaos and the despair which accompanies it.

A very yogic adage is:

No mud. No lotus.

Bingo! the counsel is to first expect chaos. Yes I know, not what you wanted to hear. Still there is comfort in knowing it is part of our life. Eventually it will turn up. when we least expect it of course

It lurks around the corner. It pounces. It can cripple us mentally and physically. We fall apart.

Why me? We cry!

As Carolyn Myss reminded me, “why not me?” We feel if we do all the right spiritual practices, and yoga ourselves into pretzels, we can be spared. NOT.

Le sigh. I learned when we embrace our despair related to our chaos, it will give a massive boost to our liberation from suffering.

As the Buddha said, There will always be suffering. Its how we choose to suffer over the suffering. Hmm.

Expect Chaos

To be clear here dear, I repeat. We begin by accepting there will always be chaos.

Yin and yang.

Light and dark,

The hurricane comes, the hurricane goes.

The calm after the storm.

The GOOD NEWS. As much as we can expect chaos and stop thinking we are by virtue of our good actions , we are exempt, we can also…

Expect Joy!

The flip side. Joy to the world, for the love of your friends, family, beloved heart throb, husband, wife, babies and children, and the immense, breathtaking beauty of a sunset, good health, peace and love, animals and fur babies and flowers galore, the glorious fall and falling leaves, and gourmet food, and beaches, and mountains, and, and, and….add your JOY too. NOW!

Pause for a moment and give thanks.

My practice is summed up in two words

Forgiveness + Gratitude.

Rinse and repeat.

My prayer to share if you are lacking at times for either of these, be it forgiveness or gratitude is this…

Dear God, Higher Power, Great Spirit,

When I am not feeling forgiveness, you give me forgiveness.

When I am not feeling gratitude, you give me gratitude.

You give me faith. You give me trust when I have lost it all in my despair and chaos.

Amen

“You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.”

Once years ago when I went to my most influential spiritual teacher in India, he talked to our group about everyone wanted to go TO THE ROOTS of our problems. Our despair. Our chaos. Here is what he said,

“Going to the roots of your problems only augments them, it makes them stronger…

Going to the roots of your being frees from all problems whatsoever.”

Hugo Maier

So it is. In addition to the practice of forgiveness and gratitude there is the Sacred Remedy, part of the YogaNurse curriculum.

Sacred breath, sacred movement, sacred rest.

Yep. 1, 2, 3. There in lies the sum and substance of my personal solution to our chronic angst and anxiety.

Perhaps you feel my counsel is too simplistic. You need more guidance and direction. More personalized to you.

Do you need some help with your chaos?

It has come to me lately, there may be a need for me to begin to work one on one with my students.

How do I know, because living in chaos and despair is my specialty. And learning how to find peace when I am going to pieces is also my specialty. Hence my Divinely ordained assignment to create the YogaNurse mission and vision.

Apart from the YogaNurse courses available here at https://yoganurse.com once upon a time, years ago, I gave private consultations. On how to live with chaos and despair in nursing and in our private lives…and or a combo of business and personal guidance,

I would so appreciate it if you would let me know by commenting if this may be of any interest to anyone of you. I am here to give you service, to relieve and help you with your ok, call it beautiful mess.

AND, that’s a wrap.

May peace & love go with you wherever you go,

Love Annette

And Team YogaNurse

Do write to me or comment if the spirit moves you. I read every single reply, although I cannot always guarantee a reply, I’d love to hear from you. xooooom

Tapping Into the Intelligence of the Universe

Greetings

Honoring you today and the Wheel of the Year which attunes you to the cycles and rhythms of life’s sacred flow. There’s a natural cycle of life: it begins, it sustains, it lets go.

Nurses witness the cycle of birth, life in between, death.

The first breath, the period of inhalations and exhalations we call life, and then the last breath.

By attuning to this cycle and learning to align with it, we experience ourselves within the natural flow of which we are a part, and tap into the underlying fabric that connects all life.

When the Sun “Stands Still”

The word “solstice” comes from the Latin word solstitium meaning “the sun stands still.” I’m loving on the imagery of this statement.

On solstice, the sun appears to stand still as it pauses and reverses direction (as seen from earth).

Summer Solstice marks the longest day and shortest night of the year.

On Summer Solstice, we experience the peak of light. Days begin to get shorter after the Summer Solstice.

Six Ideas for Pausing to Honor This Moment

Use this list as inspiration or choose your own way to connect with nature.

Adorn your body with colors of the sun: golds, reds, oranges.

Gather wildflowers.

Choose a symbol to honor ancestors, whether from your family, or cultural symbols.

Place a jar or bowl of water in the sun to be energized by the solstice sun. Drink it and gratefully receive the vital energy of the sun. ( I LOVE THIS ONE. I make sun tea. Add your fave tea herbal or caffeinated to a glass jug full of water. Sit it near a sunny window. Then drink at room temp or put into fridge to drink cold.)

Visualize the light of the sun entering your heart and renewing you.

Celebrate with a bonfire or torches.

“The winter solstice is calling us home, home to the cycles, to the rhythms of life’s sacred flow. She is calling us deep into the dark cave of our own being, into the deep stillness, where our soul resides. As we breathe into our fears, in that very moment of deepest darkness, the light is reborn and life renews. The cycles are but the flow of life itself, to which our souls are entwined… The winter solstice is the last point in the sacred wheel of the year, where we reach the darkest point and the light is reborn and we move again into the fullness of light. These points remind us that we are part of life and always connected, that even in the darkest moments, there is light.”
Saul David Raye

Speaking of flow and cycles of life, I want to thank all of you who wrote to me to wish me Happy Birthday for the 71st cycle of my extraordinary life. It was a massive surprise!

Shout out to Kady LaLoo my nurse webmaster genie genius for her surprise newsletter take over. If you missed it you can check it out here. Her story is the BEST part.

A Secret Birthday Takeover

Honoring the turn in the wheel of the year gives you an opportunity to tune into your connection with the greater whole.

Wishing you the warmest, coolest peaceful solstice of your life.

May love be with you wherever you go,

This is what nurses do.

We care. A whole lot. Until we can’t care anymore. We work. A whole lot. Until we can’t work anymore.
We suffer. We strive. We give. We forget to live.

I am not Annette Tersigni. My name is Kady and I have temporarily taken over Annette’s blog (she knows I’m writing to you but doesn’t know what I’m about to say).

I was a nurse.

I held up the four elongated walls of my ward with my latex-gloved hands. Just like you do right now. Nobody truly sees the work you do behind the scenes. The lives you quietly save and the effect you truly have. How could the general public ever understand what goes into the life of a nurse? The spark that you have, pushing you to get things right, to do good and be better. I remember it serving others while pushing me into overwork. I remember doing the job of 10 nurses.

I remember running jam-packed hospital wards with the help of a student nurse and losing patients to the nursing shortage crisis. I remember getting angry about it, my heart breaking, being unheard and reaching the edge of my burnout in tears, feeling like a failure.

I quit on the day I recognized my compassion had flatlined (it took a long time for my brain to catch up with my body).

I was empty inside. It creeps up on you. You don’t see it coming.

You just do what you have to do until you lose a portion of yourself you didn’t notice leaving.

Like a neglected partner, your soul begs for attention and slowly moves out, the longer you ignore it.
Work life balance is not an easy feat for nurses.

The day I quit, I pivoted quickly to building websites for a living but my connection to nurses and nursing never left. It changes you. From an innocent kid who knew absolutely nothing about the world, to suddenly having to grow up fast and be faced with the most incredibly traumatizing stories of human life from every category.

I remember being 20 years old, confronted with the sight of a cancer-ridden body. I was new, young, with an untrained poker face and the bedside manner of a rock.

My jaw unintentionally dropped. She’d lost two limbs and was coming in to remove a third. Lost in devastation, I completely forgot she was watching me.

Her voice sang through my shocked stupor and she said “It’s okay. I’m more than my body.”

Shame washed over me. I didn’t mean to be so transparent.

It was then that I saw her face and she was beautiful. Lightness radiating from her smile, she was the most powerful patient I’d experienced. With one limb left, she did all she could do for herself, refusing to ring that bell. With a bright and brilliant personality, she was comforting me as I prepared her for surgery!

How do you process something like that, coming from the safety of your mum’s home, still youthful and fresh, bright-eyed with a zest for life? How do you process that?

The answer for most nurses is: you don’t. You suck it all in.

The shift must go on!

You take in human suffering every 12 hour run, never giving yourself a chance to pause and then you just break or at least I did.

While starting up my web dev biz, I found myself crossing paths with nursing again…I met Annette Tersigni, RN and founder of Yoganurse on twitter!

She hired me to help her build a retreat booking site, for retreats she’d organized for nurses to practice yoga, and enjoy green smoothies together on the beach. We somehow pulled it off and it was a success.

I continued to work with her…for 10 more years.

I am one of the lucky few who got an inside look at the creation process behind the yoganurse movement. I’ve watched Annette painstakingly pour her heart and soul into it, weaving love into every little thing she does, making sure that it serves to heal the broken hearts of nurses. Like the fairy godmother of nurses, she watches over us with compassion and love.

So many of our conversations start with something like:

“Is it impactful Kady? Do you think it will inspire and move them?”
“Does it bring peace? Does it serve? Is it good?”
“Is it affordable? I want it to be accessible to nurses, Kady”
“Kady, I am trusting in the divine, I want to serve first.”
“Please oh please, I believe in my heart, nurses will benefit.”

Out of curiosity, I did a keyword search from all the hundreds of emails I have from Annette – almost every email contains these words: “serve, love, honor, heart, integrity, bless, lovely nurses, sacred, yoga, divine power, healing, trust, consciousness, enlightenment, community”

I recently designed a series of images celebrating the nurses who are making an impact as Certified Yoganurses and Annette beamed “Oh Kady, these nurses are so beautiful and so powerful! I could just look at these pictures all day and it eases my soul.”

When I stay up late working, Annette tells me to go to bed and get sacred rest.

Last night, I listened to her and went to bed. I put on a guided meditation and a powerful voice streamed through my headphones, talking about good people. People who are willing to give more than take. People who are looking to love instead of hate. People who want to understand instead of judge. People who see a gap in the world that needs filling, and dedicate their lives to bridging that gap for others. The entire time he spoke, Annette continuously came to mind. I couldn’t stop thinking about it. 4:20AM, here I am, typing this post, thinking, Annette is that person.

Annette has literally dedicated her life to nurses. Her training program is the culmination of 50 years of her education in nursing, yoga and Ayurveda. She pioneered the Yoganurse movement which sprung a wellspring of wisdom and knowledge, with conscious caring contributions from connected nursing souls who she loves as sons and daughters – her army of modern day Nightingales!

Annette turns 71 on the 27th May. I wanted to do something special for her – so I wrote this to share with you, but she hasn’t read it yet.

Please leave a comment if you’d like to wish her a happy birthday – it will pop up in her email and it will be a wonderful surprise.

She’s too humble to publish writing that praises her like this but I couldn’t let this go. I am in a unique position to tell you the human story of a nurse who cares about you because I’ve seen her put in sweat, blood and tears to create something that speaks to the needs of nurses.

I know what it means to have someone that cares about your experience of life.
I wanted to tell you that while you might be feeling the pressure of the nursing world, Annette is here looking out for you, shifting consciousness in healthcare with a movement made to heal the nurse first, then the world.

“We can’t change the nursing culture unless we change the nursing consciousness.” – Annette Tersigni RN

I didn’t know it when I first came across the Yoganurse movement but I know it now. Annette is a living legend. Her story reads like a novel and the Yoganurse movement is UNSTOPPABLE.

The Yoganurse training programs are the result of Annette’s absolute love and adoration for nurses and yoga. Annette has planted seeds of wisdom in her Certified Yoganurses that have and will continue to blossom across the world. Seeds that will calmly, and gently with sacred breathing, (Annette would say, “the great spirit, the holy spirit”) LIFT the nursing profession away from crisis mode, as more and more nurses awaken to their inner divinity.

Annette and her spiritually gifted co-host RN Lisbeth Overton (also beautifully moved by Annette’s work) recently ran an AMAZING, heartfelt, mindfulness webinar for nurses and the response was magnificent.

If you are a nurse, whether you do yoga or not, whether you’re an expert or novice, a nurse who never pauses, a nurse who somewhat understands but hasn’t fully committed to the power of combining these two art forms, if you work in healthcare, or intend to, I believe fully that Annette has created the perfect community of amaaaazing, spirited, brilliant, loving and supportive nurses for you – where you are already loved, where you are understood, where nurses cheer you on toward a consciousness shift that brings you the work-life balance you truly yearn for.

Why Connect with Annette? For no other reason than this:

Nurses love her work because she is the nurse that nurses nurses.
She is the yoganurse that teaches yoga nurses with incredible wisdom, unique to her 50-year long journey as a nurse yoga teacher expert, further empowered by the experiences of thousands of nurses around the world who she mentored and also learned from.
You will feel uplifted as more nurses join forces to create a consciousness shift together powered by the yoganurse model of care.
Love is all you need…for Beatles lovers everywhere

Greetings to you today,

Yep. I love the Beatles. I actually saw them in person when I was the tender age of 14.

Did your jaw drop. Full disclosure I’m 70 years young as of this writing.

Born in the era of peace and love.

This letter lands in your hands as Mother’s Day + Nurses Week coincide. Whether you are literally a mother who birthed children, or not, I DO know, as a nurse, you are ever a mother to all whom you serve.

Being a mother is hard. Sometimes.

Being a nurse is hard. Sometimes.

It can be more, or less, it’s all relative.

The common thread of gold which binds the heart to the recipient of your care, as mother or nurse, is…

LOVE!

Here is a FREE gift of love I created for you with love!

A quick video based on a viral interview I did for Elephant Journal which I turned into a video.

It’s the #1 secret of success I learned to become a Beloved NURSE yoga teacher, and on how anyone, (that means you, dear reader), can become a more enlightened and evolved soul.

Even if you never teach or even practice yoga, this revelation will serve you for the rest of your life.

It’s guaranteed to work.

HIT PLAY! Watch the video below. Don’t miss out on this one.

Seriously. Then if it moves you, write to me and tell me how it felt for you.

Our Yoganurse team has been working with love non stop for the last three months preparing to launch our once a year, YNYTT- YogaNurse teacher training, exclusively for nurses and nursing students.

Our movement has become UNSTOPPABLE!

Our courses are all about YOU, empowering you to merge your loves of nursing, yoga, spirituality, enlightenment, entrepreneurship into a career and life you love.

And Loves you back. Boom!

Latora Grant Scott, PhD Nurse YNYTT Grad 2021. THE NURSE DOC IS ZEN.

We give you the blueprint, with the HOW TO, safe, teaching protocols, anyone can do.

It’s the biggest growing segment in teaching and coaching in our era. Estimated at $350 Billion, with growth to continue for the next 10 years.

Happy Mother’s Day & Happy Nurses Week!

Love Annette

And Team YogaNurse

P.S. Share this newsletter with someone who would love some love.

And I’d love to hear from you. xooooom

Greetings,

Cut to the chase. I had a biopsy about 10 days ago.

They found a suspicious area in my right breast, from an earlier mammogram and ultrasound. Not a lump, still a small area of unusual tissue.

The expert team from the hospital I worked at for almost 20 years performed the procedure. Then came the waiting game, Easter weekend was coming up and the imaging center, where I was to return to get the results, was taking a well deserved holiday.

Ergo, I had to wait longer than usual. I played out every possible story line, outcome in the back of my mind. OK, in the front of my mind too. Truly, it is my strong faith and hope which kept me going.

At times I felt utter despair, fear and hopelessness.

A week later, at the imaging center, the radiologist walked into the waiting room. I didn’t have to wait more than 30 seconds before he gave me the results. As my heart was beating out of my chest, I heard only one magic word. ‘Benign.” Uh Huh. Hope.

As I am about to turn 71, yes seventy-one, you can imagine it was beyond a great relief, it was a boon from God, the universe and the great spirit. Indeed the Holy Spirit. Buddha. Krishna. All the names of the HP. Higher Power.

I’m still recovering with gratitude. I dodged another bullet so to speak. I still have big plans for this close to the last chapter of my life. No it’s not the end yet, still the larger part of my life journey is behind me, not in front.

A Newsletter of hope!

This Hope Newsletter was motivated by a hope full post from a gifted nurse named Wendy Coulter in a Facebook Nurses group. I read it around the time I was waiting for the results of my biopsy. A God Send.

Wendy wrote about hope. Here’s what she said:

“Hope keeps me motivated. Science supports the healthy cultivation of hope. Our brains respond to our feelings of hope with a flood of “happy” hormones. These chemicals are known to block pain and help to accelerate healing. Some studies have shown that feelings of hope may have a direct effect on health outcomes.

Mental healthcare providers often frame hope as a therapeutic tool and note:

a practitioner’s sense of hope can positively influence hopefulness in their patients and clients.

Here are some suggestions from “hope experts”:

Small steps work best for long-term success.

Read inspirational stories of hope.

Take a moment to pause… take a deep breath… and check-in with your mind and heart.

There are many types of therapeutic mental healthcare that can provide support in nurturing hopefulness. Energy psychology recognizes the role of subtle energy and mind-body practices and offers a growing scientific evidence base.”

THANK YOU WENDY COULTER!

Evidence. Research. Beyond what ancient religion and spirituality have told us for ages.

Whenever my body mind spirt has been overwhelmed with fear and hopelessness…It is ever the remembrance of the power of HOPE which has been a pillar of my saving grace.

Hope is your pillar of saving grace too.

The foundation of the YogaNurse Model of Care is infused with these three pillars.

THE BIG THREE

Faith

Hope

Charity

That’s me gently touching a trusting little bird. The bird surely had faith & hope I was not going to hurt it.

NOW this hope full email from NAIROBI from nurse Mary W, one of our members who took the first YNYTT (Yoga Nurse Yoga Teacher Training for Nurses).

Mary hoped she would find a way, a practice, a new movement which would allow her to embody her search for greater meaning and purpose to make changes within the nursing profession in Africa. Here’s what she wrote in reply to one of my recent newsletters.

“Dear Annette,

Wow! I loved it.

Yoga is personal to me too.

I live in Kenya, I teach yoga in Nairobi, the capital city and also upcountry in a county called Tharaka Nithi.

It hasn’t picked up yet as I would want to but only started teaching actively on June last year.

Thank you for reaching out to me and especially for starting the yoga nursing program.

I just need a way to convince the consultants I work with to teach their clients yoga for various clients. For now am working with a gynaecologist who is allowing me to teach prenatal yoga. My plan is to have yoga for therapeutic reasons demanded for in our country.

I learnt of yoga nursing around 2017 and I knew this was a a job description I would like to be a part of.

Thank you Annette for starting this course, I really appreciate it.

God bless

Mary

WOW! Mary is a shining beacon of hope for her community and country!

Greetings Beloved Soul

Everyone is in such a hurry.

Like the rabbit in Alice In Wonderland. “I’m late, I’m late, for a very important date.” We’ve been programmed by modern technology to get it all instantly. Whatever it is.

Lo and behold, I found this in one of my daily readings…

It’s only natural to want a quick fix or an immediate solution to a situation. As one member jokingly puts it, “Grant me patience Lord – and hurray!” My sentiments exactly.

What about you? I know you can relate. Right?

All together now, 1, 2 3…take a deep breath in…and sigh it out.

The #1 technique to slooooow down, is to anchor in your breath. PRN as needed.

NEXT

I made this Video for you. How the YogaNurse® Model of Care was born…at a sacred moment of death. I can only hope you watch, listen and perhaps receive a gem to hold on to. Click to watch.

Now this ZEN GEM came in last week to our email.

Dear Annette

Thank you for being a source of inspiration ever since we met at Kripalu.

I am 64, just retired from inpatient postoperative nursing due to a retinal injury. What I brought to the hospital where I worked for so many years was the “yoga moment”, or “moment of zen” at the conclusion of each huddle. While the phones and call systems rang and the secretaries yelled at us, my manager gave us a few minutes to either engage in a single asana, brief vinyasa, a meditation, a loving-kindness practice, or the like. That was inspired by my three days with your team!

I’m told that the team rarely practices their “moment” at huddles since I’m moved on.

Wanishi, Stephanie Lombardo RN

Thank you Stephanie for sharing your Moment of Zen. And giving me permission to share in my newsletter. xommmmmmm

Happy Holy Days including Easter Sunday.

May peace & love go with you wherever you go,

Love Annette

And Team YogaNurse

Meet Alan Watts: An English writer, speaker and self-styled “philosophical entertainer”, known for interpreting and popularizing Indian and Chinese traditions of Buddhist, Taoist, and Hindu philosophy for a Western audience.

I went to see him in Toronto, Canada, when I was 18 years young in 1969. I wasn’t ready for what he had to say…

Dear one,

I was a sixties baby (boomer) on the path to freedom from suffering.

Already a veteran of suffering, from the personal, private, family war I was brought up with, I was offered a saving grace. My Aunt Emilia. Auntie was a saint. Italian. Old school. St. Frances, St Theresa, St Anthony…

Really she was. She was the instiller of FAITH in my fearful heart.

I kept on seeking the light OR you could say, the light kept on seeking me.

I was given the grace of a mystical revelation once, shortly after 9/11, when the twin towers were blown up. Once you have a WAKE UP CALL, you never fully go back to sleep.

Grace is one of my favorite words. I repeat it often. Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound…you know the rest. Hence, my destiny to be here now with you, this YogaNurse newsletter + blog thing, to share in the world, with a mission to improve self care for nurses and to expand consciousness in healthcare.

Suffering. World Wide. Then. Now.

Here’s what Alan taught me (pic below) waaaay back when I was a mere sprite of a hippie girl at the height of the “Be Here Now” Ram Dass movement.

If you are suffering right now or suffering over suffering, I’d like to pay forward the faith I was gifted by my Aunt Emilia, the wisdom of Alan Watts, and my awakenings through suffering.

My Gift To You Dear Nurse

I recorded this compassion audio for you, especially for nurses…fact is, anyone can benefit from it. About 5 minutes…to chill and find the place within, which is ever free of suffering.

Go into the CLOUD. A fluffy, white, comfy cloud. At least for 5 minutes…good place to start. Today, right?

There will always be suffering. It’s how we deal with the suffering. The cards we’re dealt. Bottom line: we can suffer more or suffer less. Make room for grace, clarity, gratitude and generosity of spirit, to helping others who are suffering and disenfranchised.

We’re at a loss to be of any help to anyone, or any cause, if we are a loss in ourselves.

Oh, lemme know if you listened to my made for you compassion audio, and if it served you.

May peace and love go with you wherever you go,

Love Annette & Team YogaNurse

P.S

My last newsletter garnered plenty of emails including this delightful one (shoutout to Erin Kelley):

Hi Annette,

Love your reflections on the wizard of Oz. I used similar analogy for salutatorian speech in high school and again for a speech for my fellow nurses when we graduated from nursing… but more that we had to overcome the “lions and tigers and bears” of nursing school in order to finally make it to land of OZ (graduation!).

Thanks for the smile today… literary analogy is so much fun.

Blessings,

Erin

P.P.S

If you haven’t taken the newly revamped YogaNurse Essentials.
