Clicked the below pictures using the 'Backlight' option in the camera. Pictures came out really well which I would not expect even from my Canon camera. Really happy with the results.

Had a great day with my Nokia Lumia 920.
It worked fine the whole day.
Did not hang and the battery also did not give any problem.
Installed the Kolkata/West Bengal maps.
Good going for a change.
Thanx to my vendor.

Had to go to Kolkata from Howrah for some works to complete.
Got on the pillion of bike and wanted to click some pics with the camera of my Nokia Lumia 920.
Took out the camera and clicked one shot and then it wouldn't work.
No options work and nothing works.
I can just only click with the camera button and nothing else.
I get pissed off.
I am not even able to work on my phone.
I really get out of my mind.
I decided to go to the nokia customer care which would eventually fall on my way.
I go to the center and they take my Nokia Lumia 920.
I wait there for one hour still they go on with it without any result.
Then I ask them permission and go ahead to complete my other works pending for the day.
Came back after two hours and find that there is still no result.
They say that 'yes it hangs terribly and that they wouldn't be able to do anything and that I should go to my vendor back and tell him about the problem'
Now that was insane. How can the service center deny with all this.
I really got confused and also angry at the same time.
I went to my vendor and said him all my problems.
The Nokia people there took my cell and it also hung with them.
They got the belief that it really did cause trouble which a normal Nokia Lumia 920 would not.
They told me they would change and that only white and yellow colours were available.
First I hesitated because my nature of business doesn't allow me to have any light colour but on consulting with my wife I went ahead with yellow.
So finally after the whole day's struggle I got another Nokia Lumia 920 and that too yellow in colour.
Took it, got the scratch card put up on it at the shop owner's cost.
Got the bills with IMEI numbers changed.
Got out from there.
Tried and clicked a hell lot of pics and videos on the way.
It performed amazingly fast and this time no hang and no freezing.
Took continuous videos while pillion on the bike.
I must say the output of the videos was amazing. Highly stabilized while really the bike shook so much on Howrah roads.
Came home and did the work around of getting things in sync with my yellow Nokia Lumia 920.
Installed apps of need.
Kept on charged the whole night.

7th March 2013 - After day and office

I came home and connected to my wi-fi.
Got connected and then started the needed applications for my Nokia Lumia 920.
It did hangs but i still go on.
It still consumes more battery than it should.
I keep it charged and go on like this itself.
The day ends with me still discovering things and issues with my Nokia Lumia 920.

Went to office deciding that I would take my Nokia Lumia 920 and go to the customer care at 10 am.
Still thought that a cell can't be made this madly where a user has no options left.
Started searching the net. Found a probable solution and tried it.
It was to hold the volume down + power buttons together and it would be a soft reset.
Yes the phone sprang up to life and even me.
Then I went to the 'about' section in the settings and did the reset the phone.
Everything got erased and phone booted up with the factory settings.
Read in the forums that this happens and that performance of the cell and the battery will get better by the days. Hope so and I am waiting for this.
I turned off the location settings.
I opted out of the linkedin and twitter services so that they do not sync again and again all times. I had no major use of them anyways.
I set the brightness of the phone to the lowest possible in the options.
And did some more tweaks.
Still had to charge. This time I had the charger brought with me and so charged it basically all the time. Huh.
The phone gets heated very much while using the bluetooth.
I still have the same question to ask. Whats the use of such a costly phone when you have to switch off all the connectivity functions in order to save the battery from getting drained out? Overall whats the use of so many features when all they have to do is use the internet and drain the battery. Nokia have to big time get up with a good solid solution for this. Feels really bad when you find that the phone has so much potential and in spite of that you cannot use the full power of the phone. WTF!!!

7th March 2013 - Wake up Morning

I wake up and the first thing I wanted to see was my Nokia Lumia 920.
I reached and pressed the power button. It won't start. I press again and again. It won't start. It was dead. Completely dead. I tried pressing the volume down + power + camera buttons together but to no avail. It won't start.
I felt so disappointed and out of life. That was bad and that was horrible.
How can this happen with such a class of phone. It had never happened on any of my mobile phones ever. So much of money for such a thing which would any fine day leave me in the middle of nowhere and that too completely helpless early in the morning.
I get so tensed and out of my mind. It was good that I did not sell my old cell and I quickly made the switch. If I wouldn't have had my old mobile phone I would have been with no cell for the day.
I decided that I would go to the Nokia Customer Care and ask them to replace it. I really didn't want anyone to repair it.

6th March 2013 - Daytime & Night

My wife and myself try things out with the Nokia Lumia 920. Camera is the first.
My wife tries the panorama and the cinemagraph apps and they hang miserably.
The whole phone now starts freezing and hanging immensely giving us hard time to do things.
For sometime the network connectivity was also lost but got after few minutes.
For sometime I became speechless and helpless.
The phone heats up very much and very fast.
The battery drains out fast.
I panic and start searching the net for possible solutions and I try everything possible to get going till I reach home.
I had to switch on the 'battery saver' option which disables all syncing and other automatic functions.
I would only be able to get my stuff by manually syncing myself. That was not a happy thing.
Whats the use of such a costly phone which does not even last a whole day. My dad will fire me on this.
Somehow I could manage and reach home.
After a break I again start fidgeting with the phone. Installing the apps necessary for me.
Also downloaded the West Bengal maps and also the connectivity manager apps too.

I wake up earlier than usual to start surfing and discovering my Nokia Lumia 920. Do some stuff. Check mails and messages and watsapp from friends. Happy to take it to the office.

Finally I make up my mind to buy this beauty and at the same time the solid beast with tons of features heard from all over the world. I go to the shop in the evening and get the Nokia Lumia 920 Black which I had confirmed and booked in the morning itself. I am so happy and I keep on doing something or the other with it.

Got everything fine and working. The contacts and sms messages only from my old Nokia E72 got transferred with the data transfer feature and i was able to connect and sync to my outlook.com, google, twitter, linkedin, nokia, microsoft accounts with the wi-fi in my house. Some how it seems that 2G works a bit slow on this cell. Lets see what it has in offer.

Still not tired with doing stuff with the cell I connect it to the computer and it starts charging. I keep it this way but again on second thoughts think that it might be dangerous to keep it connected to the PC as it may be haunted by the viruses which might be there on my system. So I connect and charge it through the lovely white charger provided along with the set in the box. I leave it this way and go off for sound sleep.

Reading reviews of Nokia Lumia 920 all over the net and also about its features trying to strengthen my mind to buy it. Pluses and minuses both were equal. Pluses were strong and good. Since the time I had been using cells or even any of my family member we have always used Nokia and nothing else have ever even been able to creep in our bed-rooms. My loyalty to Nokia is still the same. Hope it does not let me down. I keep on reading about its amazing features everyday and on every google search and everywhere possible.

Yes, Nokia Lumia 920 was launched in India. As soon as it hit the shelves my agent called that he has the demo set and its ready for preview along with the newly launched HTC 8X. I was happy and quickly ran to see the products but got stunned on hearing the price. Really took me back. I had to thing hundred times everyday of having such a phone at such a price. At the first impression it felt heavy and huge in shape. I was just continuously looking at it. The price just got off my head and I couldn't buy it then and there. Aahhhh...

I hear and read of official launch of Nokia Lumia 920 on November 14th, 2012. I do not remember exactly if it was launched on that very day but I do remember that it was not released in India. Probably they learnt from their Pureview 808 experience that Indian was not the right market to start the launching with. They release it everywhere but India. India had to wait and I was repeatedly pestering the owner of the shop from where I purchase my mobiles for this product. It was final that it would come to India in December.

Nokia Lumia 920 has been on my everyday search term and list even before its official launch in November. I have it on my mind when Nokia 808 Pureview was launched and was doing the talks everywhere and at one congress Nokia Lumia 920 was announced. So you can understand how much a dream it is for me to have this phone. Looking forward to it.
