R4iTT DSiXL 3D V1.6 now has hacked Nintendo 3DS console with R4iTT-3DS Firmware Updater Ver1.0 by Mar 4th, 2011.

R4itt.net updated its official website and uploaded R4iTT-3DS Firmware Updater last night.

R4iTT users now can be guided as below.

(1) Download latest R4iTT kernel V2.19 and R4iTT-3DS Update Patch;
(2) Decompress Kernel V2.19 on computer and get app, data, moonshl2, NDSMAIL, svsip, SYSTEM (6 folders) and r4.DAT which shown below;
(3) Decompress R4iTT-3DS Update Patch and get R4iTT_Updater.nds and R4iTTFirmware.dat;
(4) Copy and save all folders and files mentioned at step 3 and step 4 into the root directory of memory TF card;
(5) Run R4iTT V1.6 card with kernel installed TF card on DS Lite console;
(6) Press Game Icon and enter into Game List, then navigate and find R4iTT_Updater.nds, or press UPDATA on the left-down corner of bottom screen;
(7) DSLite console enters into R4i Flash Writer with R4iTT Firmware Updater Ver1.0, Press A to start (Do not turn off the power);
(8) After Firmware Update Success, take out and run this firmware updated R4iTT V1.6 on Nintendo 3DS console.

R4i SDHC V1.31b Kernel Installation
There are 3 basic steps to install R4i-SDHC V1.31b kernel
1. Download R4i-SDHC V1.31b kernel package, decompress it to your computer. There will be 4 files inside unzipped folder, the "R4.DAT" for game kernel, the "Moonsh12" for video kernel, "R4iMenu" for DIY interface, and "Moonmemo" files.
2. Connect the MicroSD TF card to computer with TF card reader.
3. Copy the "R4.DAT","Moonsh12", "R4iMenu" and "Moonmemo" files to the root directory of your TF card.
Now R4i-SDHC V1.31b installation completes.

Note: Why we are always talking aoubt r4i-sdhc kernel installation, not kernel update directly ? There maybe some kind of bad fragement on your memory card after long time's playing with kernel R4i-SDHC V1.30b, which will affect the performance of memory card. And we suggest you to use PanasonicSDFormatter to get your memory card formmated before R4i-SDHC V1.31b installation, not update into R4i-SDHC V1.31b directly.

R4i-SDHC V1.30b kernel was released on Dec 18th, 2010.

It is compatible with R4i-SDHC V1.4.1 card, R4-SDHC card. R4i-SDHC V1.4 (out of production ) can also run this kernel well but remember not to update your console into FW1.4.1.

When installed R4i-SDHC V1.30b kernel for R4i-SDHC V1.4.1 card, Game ROM 5388 - Do-Konjou Shougakussei Bon Bita - Hadaka no Choujou Ketsusen!! Bita vs. Dokuro Dei! (Japan).nds was also saved into the memory card.

After power on DS console, it enters into R4i-SDHC Wifi Homepage successfully. However, once press Game Icon, console freezen at File Name Too Long Error, which is shown as below.

How to fix it ?

Once the error takes place, the other buttons do not work but power button. Rename the file name to reduce the length on your computer. Then it get the error fixed.

Wood R4 1.18 kernel for R4 DS has updated today by YWG. It added 'Safe mode', Language interface like Dutch, Spanish and Romanian, and it also fixed many latest Game ROMs.
