Mommy-hood is truly a balancing act full of ups, downs, and unexpected moments that leave us saying, "I didn't sign up for this!" From monitoring fevers until the wee hours of morning to the common cold that seems to last for weeks, we are on call 24/7 to tend to our little ones. Does this sound like your regular routine? That's the boat I'm currently sailing in after booking a random trip in only 20 minutes with about 10 of those being actual "planning." This is unusual for us because we are a family that prepares ahead and dissects every single detail of a trip beforehand- weather, location, hotel reviews, itineraries, activities, restaurants, and any other vital component of going out of town. The one thing I ALWAYS tend to forget? The struggle of traveling with a sick child. We've all been there and since it's already happened to us once, I have made sure that we have a road trip first aid kit on hand this time around.

Here is what you will find in my Road Trip First Aid Kit designed for the little humans in our lives, also known as the germ magnets:

Medication: prescribed or over the counter, it is crucial that all medication be up to date. Our kit always contains Children's Advil® Grape, Children's Robitussin®, and Dimetapp® Cold & Cough.

Small notepad & pen: helpful in keeping track of what time medications are given along with the dosage. Yes, we all have phones to enter these things but sometimes a good old fashioned piece of paper comes in handy.

Barf bags: never leave home without them. As a parent of a child that suffers from car sickness, I always have at least one of these on hand. They're durable and easy for children to hold themselves.

Cold Pack: can provide c00ling comfort to the forehead or back of neck if child becomes warm.

Tissues: for sniffles, sneezes, and wiping those relentless runny noses that ooze with boogies.

Boogie Wipes: moist wipes that are gentle on tender noses and made with saline to soothe. They are very soft and dissolve what I like to call, the "crusties." They're an equal alternative to saline spray, which my daughter HATES.

Disinfectant Wipes: because germs and cootie bugs spread like wildfire. Wipes are an easy way to clean hands, surface areas, and anything that your little one touches or puts in their mouth.

Thermometer: knowing your child's exact temperature is helpful in knowing what medications they need, if any. It's important to stay on top of a fever, especially if you're on the road.

Gatorade or Water: sick kit staples for hydration.

Crackers: easy on the tummy and a terrific way to get a little bit of food into them if they are under the weather. Crackers can also be used to settle a queasy stomach.

Countour Kit by ISH (Retail: $32)- As a pale chick, contouring scares me. It really does. I'm trying to get the hang of it but it's going to take some time. Rome wasn't built in a day and I can't seem to locate my cheek bones. True story! Huge plus that the colors are all bendable and work with my skin tone. Love the highlight and hopelessly devoted to learning how to use the whole kit to its full potential.

Keretin Gloves & Socks (Retail: $9.98)- Sometimes you have to treat yourself to a spa session at home and this duo gives you the easiest mani-pedi treatment ever! I can't wait to give this a try during the week. My nails need a little extra TLC right now.

Tag Necklace by Jook & Nona (Retail: $65)- this dainty necklace is so pretty in person. I love that it's feminine and can be layered with other pieces.

Shaving Emulation Lotion by HelloLegs (Retail: $19.95)- This was the first thing I tried from the spring box and I fell in love immediately. What a huge difference compared to using shaving gel. The combination of lotion and cream make shaving effortless. I don't think I will ever go back!

Argan & Hemp Oil Therapy by Marrakesh (Retail: $22.99)- This stuff is pure magic. I have been using it on my hair every morning after I get out of the shower. I put a small amount in the palm of my hand and run it through the ends, where it tends to get dry. It has made such a huge difference in reducing frizz and leaving my locks silky smooth.

Yoga Mat Strap by Merrithew (Retail: $14.99)- This can be used as a resistance cord for strength training during yoga practice or as an alternative to a mat bag. I have never personally done yoga but this gives me the motivation to try!

When spring arrives and the sun is out, there is nothing that can keep us indoors. From play-dates at the park to our weekend adventures, we always have our healthy snacks packed and ready to go! Today I am sharing a fun way for you to add a little springtime cheer to your kiddo's lunchbox or snack sack with new GoGo squeeZ YogurtZ pouches.

Springtime has been good to us this year. In Florida we are typically bombarded with countless rainstorms and gloomy weather on any given day. This is cue to stay indoors and clean, but what fun is that? While we don't experience the seasons as others around the world do, spring still brings plenty of sunshine and blooming flowers between the rain clouds. Luckily, the weather has been beautiful these past few weeks so we have been spending quite a bit of time outside enjoying nature. Whether we're running around the park or taking a dip in the pool, I always make sure we are prepared with plenty of healthy snacks to keep energy levels high and tummies full until meal time. Some of our favorites include fresh fruit, granola bars, veggie sticks, nuts, cheeses, and GoGo squeeZ YogurtZ.

Remember when applesauce was only eaten with a spoon? No one imagined that kiddos would be squeezing and slurping it out of a pouch until GoGo squeeZ came about. Now they're changing the way they eat their yogurt too! The new GoGo squeeZ YogurtZ are filled with goodness parents love including scrumptious yogurt and real fruit, minus the preservatives.

These delicious yogurt pouches are perfect for snacking because they can be taken on the go and don't have to be refrigerated. Yep, that's right. GoGo squeeZ YogurtZ follow the same basic process as refrigerated yogurt but they also add an additional heating step so you can store them at room temperature for whenever and wherever you want. Stick them in the fridge or the freezer for an extra chilly treat. The choice is yours but either way, no utensils are needed to enjoy. Less mess. More yum.

To make these colorful springtime yogurt pouches you will need the following supplies:

green construction paper or card stock
green pipe cleaners
foam self-adhesive flowers in various sizes & colors
tape
scissors
glue gun (optional)

Begin by cutting a piece of green paper into 2 inch strips. Use scissors to cut jagged individual blades of grass onto the tops of each. Wrap around the front of the yogurt pouch and secure ends in the back with tape.

Next, put your foam flowers together. You can find packs of assorted spring flowers at your local craft store or cut them out of colored construction paper. Tape a green pipe cleaner on the back on the flower.

The flowers I purchased happened to include stems but if yours does not, these can also be cut out of paper and secured with a little bit of glue. Tuck the pipe cleaner inside of the grass liner and cut off any excess that may be poking out of the bottom.
