Have you been to City Triangle fronting Ateneo de Davao University and Marco Polo Hotel and tried the latest craze in town?

Last June 3, 2013 at the City Triangle in a large area center space a small food cart corner opens its store that offers perfect combination of ChekHup drinks and crispylicious fresh baked FAMOUS BELGIAN WAFFLES, the first branch in Mindanao.

I was not able to come on their first opening day, but I've noticed its instant hit as they started. If you still remember my blog about CREPELATO in City Triangle, you can see Belgian Waffles beside GELATEA.

I notice how customers waiting for their queue to try and enjoy the waffles and drink their imported coffee from Malaysia.

PERFECT! The day we visited their cart store their place is not that pack of customers.

So we easily place our orders.

Available that time from their PERFECT COMBINATION MENU is BANANA PEANUT BUTTER and BANANA HAZELNUT. I choose Banana Hazelnut.

Honestly, for me the waffles are mediocre. It is just a typical waffles that cook like a pancake and taste different because of its hazelnut and banana spread.

The hazelnut butter isn't bad it taste like peanut butter..hehehehe...and I love peanut butter. I can't compare because for me it has the same taste.

And for our drinks I choose ChekHup Malaysian Hot Choco. An instant chocolate drink from Borneo.

Only one staff present that time and she's very accommodating, I ask her if I can take some pictures on how she prepare the waffles and she nodded (but not to include her face-as she agree).

One thing that really describe me is my addiction with Pasta and Pizza. And the place that answer my craving is GREENWICH.

With all the Italian Cuisine we have here in Davao City I still go with the Greenwich Pizza and Pasta cooking. Not only that they give me what I want but it is also a budget-friendly food chain.

Their LASAGNA SUPREME is my best pasta favorite ever.

Place is big. Nice location. But I don't like their service. I am referring here with their Cashier's and Staffs attitude.

Problem arises when the cashier forget to take my mothers order. I already have my meal and I started eating then while waiting and waiting for my mothers meal, it seems that they forget it. It is not a busy time because its already 3 in the afternoon. I call the attention of one of their staff but she just ignore me and turn her way to another side. I get the receipt inside my purse, and I notice also as I count my money she forget to give us our change, she only give us our order number. I went down stair and confronted the cashier, I ask her nicely and thank God she remembered that she forget to give us our change and forget to get my mothers order too. I'm not angry just disappointed with what happened.

As I said the place is quite big but not that spacious at all.

Strolling in a mall is also a great time for me to look for a food express that I haven't tried yet.

NCCC Main Davao-Uyanguren. Together with my youngest daughter, we went to our favorite grocery store ever. Love doing my shopping here because they have tons of products to choose from and gives great deals and I never leave empty handed. And as we finish shopping we stroll to look for a food that we haven't tried, something that will indulge our taste buds in a unique, delicious and healthy treats. Then we saw KUSHIKATSU FOOD EXPRESS.

Kushikatsu is a breaded and deep-fried meat or vegetables on skewers in Japanese.

A small kiosk fronting the grocery, so easy to see. And a beautiful and humble staff will get your order and if you're not sure what to order she's there to give you suggestions.

As you can see the shelf was almost empty, that is because people who have tasted their food love it so much.

I've order PORK KATSU, TUNA BELLY KATSU and their GREEN ICE TEA for a total price of PHp80 only.

Taste good and so yummy. Easy to eat and served with dipping sauce.

The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf

The COFFEE BEAN and TEA LEAF was founded by HERB & MONA HYMAN of Los Angeles, California in 1963. As coffee lovers, they traveled all over Europe to find the best coffee shops and decided to bring the specialty coffeehouse concept to America. And now popularly known all over the world as CBTL.

Here in Davao City, Philippines they have three branches, Abreeza Mall, SM LANANG Premier and THE PEAK Gaisano Mall. I'd already visited their place at Abreeza and I love the exterior of their coffeehouse.

And now for the first time I visited their branch located at the main entrance of SM LANANG PREMIER fronting BREADTALK and beside Banco de Oro.

A really nice furnished and equipped place, quite big compared to CBTL Abreeza branch. The location is good too, in 10 seconds you are walking to the main taxi station.

I like the menu of this coffeehouse, for me it is better than STARBUCKS.

My all time favorite from CBTL is their bitter-sweet and yummy WHITE CHOCOLATE DREAM HOT LATTE. Smooth and the right balance of bitter and sweet and not so milky. Unlike with other hot choco I've tasted, which are very irritating to the throat because of coarse texture of a cocoa powder use in a drink.

I am just disappointed with their staff's. Upon entering no one greet us or ushered us to our table. We call the guard attention who just came in from a break and ask him if we can drag the other table to make it one with the reserved table that we have. Another thing that disappoint me is their Wi-Fi service, they are only FREE if you are a REGISTERED CBTL MEMBER.

Nevertheless, all in all this will be my favorite place of drinking coffee and meeting with friends. Next time I drop here I will registered myself to avail their FREE Wi-Fi Service.

When you walked inside the City Triangle you will see a super cute little gelato spot that also serve meals, snacks, coffee and hot teas.

Love to see the different flavors they have. All of which you love to try and taste but need to decide on the "one" of your choice.

The verdict: CAPUCHILLO GELATO, super rich and creamy and I love their cookies and cream glaze cone. GELATEA, super rich and smooth. You can taste the TARO MILK TEA mix with the Gelato, the flavor is not that sweet so it's super refreshing.

For me the two are the BEST PRODUCTS from CREPELATO.

Customer service was great and they were awesome to answer all of my queries.

The place is quite small, considering they are just renting the area inside the City Triangle wherein they have a large center space for common dining area.

They have an ongoing PROMO as their treat to all of us from CREPELATO.

We stop here every time we go to the banks to pay our bills. We've eaten several times and each time we leave satisfied with what we spend with our money.

SYM'S Gourmet Center is located at Ateneo De Davao University Complex C.M Recto St., beside Philippine Planters Bank.

We quickly found seats at the corner since the place is not that big and crowded. Then I proceed to the counter and take our orders.

I ask the Cashier what they were serving for lunch and she proceeded to give me a list of their MENU.

We waited for about 15 minutes to have our orders serve.

All our meals are very good, BAKED SPAGHETTI and CHICKEN SPAGHETTI were fantastic and worth raving over. But you must try their Delicious Baby Back Ribs! The taste is excellent and very light. So yummy.

And they serve UNLIMITED RICE TOO!

Overall we have a wonderful lunch. The food is worth heaven even if we ordered soft drinks only.

The ambiance was pleasant, not crowded and not noisy(maybe because its still summer) there are no students around yet.

The service was better. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Makes the place we love to return to again and again.

I've been hearing about this nice and cozy coffee shop located at V. Mapa St- Mabini St.,near TumbleTots Davao City fronting a Fellowship Church.

Thanks to Ms. Ria Abella for inviting me to attend the Eye Workshop of the Davao Bloggers because I have the right time to go and visit this place. A residential house turns to a Coffee Shop called Yellow Hauz.

A homey feel ambiance with FREE Wi-Fi. It's just like you are in your own house wherein you have a good time sitting down on a comfortable couch and while waiting for your food, enjoy listening to their music playing as your background. PERFECT!

Creativity is much appreciated in this shop.

Happened to be my first time to enter their store, its popularity has made me eager to have a taste with their doughnuts.

Yes this is it! I will have my first time bite with the popular doughnut in town.

I choose KRISPY KREME PEANUT BUTTER and KREME. Everyone who knows me understand that my most steadfast love is peanut butter. Mix with bread or rice or banana or anything that makes my mouth watering. It's always my ritual that when I have my peanut butter I rigorously embrace it! SALIVATING? YES!

When I taste their PEANUT BUTTER and KREME, the HEDONISM really kicked in. Why? PLEASURE OF TASTE. Because what I taste is something explicit, the saltiness and crispness really add flavor and texture to the doughnut.

This doughnut is ridiculously sweet and nice to partner with HOT or COLD COFFEE.

Another baked creations from Krispy Kreme, KRUFFINS. Very popular in the USA, a hand made muffin with a hole with fruit, nuts, or chocolates fillings in the middle with many
varieties to choose from MANGO KRUFFIN, CARROT PECAN, DOUBLE CHOCOLATE KRUFFIN, etc...

I was able to try their CHOCOLATE CHIP KRUFFIN and I loved it! Not so sweet and what makes me go gaga with this food is that it is freshly baked a perfect match with their hot brewed caramel latte. Since I already have my ICE COLD COFFEE, I did not order for more.

Their doughnuts are really mouthwatering and addicting. I'd recommend the place for hanging out for a couple of hours or a casual rendezvous.

BLUGRE at SKYGARDEN SM LANANG PREMIER

After a sumptuous dinner with my fellow bloggers at Giligan's Restaurant we transfer to another place called BLUGRE, just fronting the said restaurant.

This is my first time to enter BLUGRE SM LANANG, but not my first time to drink BLUGRE coffee. When I'm still working at LANDCO after work we usually hang out at their JP Laurel Ave., Davao branch. I have been loving their coffee for years.

Giligan's Restaurant at SM Lanang Premier

Have you visited this place located in the Sky Garden of SM Lanang Premier?

GILIGAN'S RESTAURANT a unique place to eat that serves good food at very reasonable prices. Why unique? Well aside from detectable dishes they serve you can feel the sailing out to the sea experience, as if you are in a voyage boat. It has a good ambiance and I love it!

Our mini FBW meet up happened here(read story).

Honestly, this is the first time I've enter the restaurant and looking at their menu I was impressed on what they offer especially for a group. They have good price as they called it GROUPIES FOOD PROMO.

We pick GOOD FOR 6 S4 GROUP MEALS, assuming that we are all hungry. Hahahaha...

I love their BULALO SOUP, the flavorful broth and the texture of the meat makes it a treat.

About their service not so impressive. To be fair they get our order fast, they bring our order fast too! But what I'm not impressed was when we ordered a bucket of beer and they forget it. We do understand that they have many guests that night, the proper way to tell us ahead of time so that we will not wait for our beer order.

Nevertheless, we still enjoy our night talking to each other, laughing and cracking some jokes.

It was August of 2011, as we celebrate Kadayawan Festival when my friend Joanne Caysido-Miller arrived from Melbourne, Australia with her husband Ross Miller. She contacts me to gather other batch mates from ASD BATCH 93.

I've done TEXT BRIGADE inviting all bath mates to gather at BON APPETIT LA BOUTIQUE, 6PM, to have a SMALL SALO-SALO with Mr. & Mrs. Miller.

While waiting for the others to arrive, we've made our orders:

This is my first time to eat here in a French Restaurant. A small restaurant located at Plaza del Carmen, Loyola Street, Bo. Obrero, Davao City.

After we ordered so many dishes, we are all in great shock because the owner, Yves Monestier, was very pleased with our presence. He even mingled with us explaining his food, wine,etc...we really have good time chatting with him.

If you love FRENCH and PALATABLE FOOD, I highly recommend this place and it has a reasonable price. For our meal, appetizer and drinks(2 red wines & 10 beers) we pay PHp3,000, a good price for a big group. That's okay, we found their food EXCELLENT then.

They already have a branch in Gaisano Mall's THE PEAK.

RAZON'S at SM LANANG PREMIER

Been to The Original Razon's Pancit Palabok and Halo-Halo at Gaisano Mall of Davao. And I found their food so tempting and deliciously good. Got positives reviews from food, service and place.

How about their branch here at SM LANANG PREMIER?

When I got inside, the place is very inviting and comfortable. The place was packed so I was worried we weren't going to get a table. Their staff's are still inviting customers to come inside, so I hurried to look for a place and we got one table available good for four
persons.

Together with my mama and my two daughters, Mikaela and Chelsea.

When I went to the counter, I've found out that they have a different menu compared to Razon's Gaisano Branch. The only same menu that they have is the PANCIT PALABOK and HALO-HALO.

FOODS are superb. Love to combine PORKCHOP and their SIZZLING BANGUS. Halo-halo is really great, that is how they are popular to have the BEST HALO-HALO in town. The SIZZLING SISIG is so yummy,my kids love it. TOCINO is sweet and tender.

Though the service is not that quite good because you have to call their staff all the time for lacking of FORK and SPOON serve. Well that is why how I observed their service. Customers are always calling for something.

I invited my mother and my eldest daughter to join me stroll around the city of Davao by accompanying me to pay bills and at the same time strolling inside GAISANO MALL OF DAVAO. Well, shopping is one way of relieving stress from work, right? So it's our occasional shopping spree using my UNION EON VISA CARD.

Let's take a break, I am hungry!

Tired from our blowing money fever, we need to take a break to have our lunch. Doing our restaurant selections I saw this small place just in the corner of GAISANO FOODCOURT. We stopped at THE ORIGINAL RAZON'S Restaurant.

The name sounds familiar and I'd remember I eat here when I'm still working in Manila, this place is so famous of their PANCIT PALABOK and HALO-HALO. But I did not order their famous dish because I want to taste their other food delicacy. I'd remember that they have the biggest, juiciest, and most tender beef meat served. So I ordered...

Barrio Obrero is already a commercialized place, I've noticed many establishments the likes of INTERNET CAFE'S, MASSAGE CLINIC and SPAS and many retails outlets and restaurants are being constructed.

One of these restaurant that is already OPEN is BARRIO BISTRO RESTAURANT, located at Lacson St.,Bo. Obrero, Davao City.

The place is so small but you will be surprised upon entering the place they have FUNCTION ROOMS that can cater 30-50 people depending on the room selections.

Room A
15 - 20 People

• Two (2) hours of use
• Fee : PhP2,000.00 (Consumable)
• add : PhP 500.00 per hour in excess of two (2) hours or a fraction thereof

Room B
20 - 25 People

• Two (2) hours of use

In our case, the group select ROOM A. This is for The ATENEO DANCE TROUPE COWBOY and COWGIRL CHRISTMAS PARTY(story here).

BARRIO BISTRO is a simple place but very cozy establishment, good for intimate dining. It offers FREE Wi-Fi too. And their staff are all great as well. They also have an "AL FRESCO" area for SMOKING at the back of the restaurant.

The taste of their food are all satisfying. We order these....

And were not mistaken with our choices. Tasty and great especially their BABY BACK RIBS so tender meaty, a bit spicy but the sauce so yummy.

After the concert of David Pomeranz we headed to JAVA JIVE COFFEE and TEA, a 24/7 cafe here in Davao City. The concert was over, but the music of David was just beginning to intensify. Good thing JAVA JIVE is a MUSIC CAFE wherein you will not just enjoy drinking local coffee, tea, soda-blends,eat sweet pastries/cakes and palatable menus,but also you have the chance to jam with their band or just listen and unwind.

THE FOOD. So love their Sans Rival and Chocolava. About their drinks, I am not satisfied with the taste of their WINTERMELON MILK TEA but I have fun playing with the Poppin' Bubbles inside my mouth. Hahahahaha....Watermelon Ice Tea, so refreshing. CARBONARA super LOVE IT!!!

It was a rainy day when my mother and I went shopping then suddenly we've stopped over a CHOWKING STORE and see this big poster.

Good thing because I am not allowed to eat pork that time I choose to order their FISH TAUSI BOWL with ICE TEA for only PHp 108.

Slices of breaded fish fillet with fried Chinese tofu all tossed in savory tausi sauce with a hint of spiciness!

And for my mother her favorite, ORIENTAL BEEF BOWL with ICE TEA still at the same price with me PHp108 but she had her SENIOR CITIZEN CARD so she pay PHp 77.14 only. Nice to have that card too! Hehehehehe....

Tender Beef strips cooked in a sweet , savory sauce tossed in with the essence of ginger and scallions.
Served with sauteed vegetables and boiled egg over a bowl of steamed rice.

I love the FOOD at CHOWKING, very affordable and food serve fresh. Indeed a CHINESE FEAST IN A BOWL, one of my most loved menu from CHOWKING.

I have a very wonderful experience here in this restaurant that is why I would like to share it with you. Aside from the place and nice view they have from the top of the hill, Jack's Ridge and Resort and Restaurant is a place for all events, located at Shrine Hills Matina, Davao City.

A bit history of the place: The place where in the restaurant now stand happen to be part of the headquarter of the retreating Japanese soldiers towards the end of World War 2. Very interesting history then, that is why there are hidden talks about this place that somewhere in the cave are billions of gold and other treasures left by the Japanese forces.

Last year I had my adventure at Eagles Bar at a FIVE STAR HOTEL Marco Polo Davao. Yes, at the luxurious hotel here in Davao.

Filled with excitement because this is my first time to enter such a grandeur hotel located at the heart of Davao City fronting Ateneo de Davao University.

EAGLES BAR(SPORTS BAR) is located at the ground floor, left side of the main entrance of the hotel. The bar welcomes you with a dim and cozy atmosphere.

Very lucky to tasted and experienced the food and service of a FIVE STAR HOTEL.

CHEESE PLATTER: white, goat, cheddar cheese so yummy!

CHICHARONG BULAKLAK as one of our side platters, love their crunchy tomatoes too!

Vic and Glenn enjoy their VODKA. Me as well my FOUR SEASONS DRINK. Hahahahaha.

Though a bit small place, with a sitting capacity of 48 persons, still nice to stay and unwind with friends. Listening and singing with the band, partying from 5pm to 2am.

Hope I could go back and visit this bar again. Though it is extravagant place to chillax but I want to taste again their food and drinks. For me the price is very reasonable. :)

Yogurt is a custard or pudding like food made by natural bacterial fermentation of milk. This healthy dessert is a great supplement for protein and calcium. And to those who can't tolerate with milk why not try this product, this is good for you.

We ordered two kinds of REGULAR YOGURT RECIPE.

Yogurt is very healthy indeed, enjoyed with different flavors and popularly served with mixed fruits. Though somewhat-sour in taste, I think this will complement with sweet ingredients added with their yogurt toppings.
