First good thing – Queens Of The Stone Age reissued their second album “Rated R”. On B-Sides you’ll find nine unreleased songs and some live versions.

And a second good thing – on press release Josh mentioned that in september band will gather on studio for recording of a new album.

Alina was born and grew up in Lithuanian town near the atomic station, not far from borders with Russia. She sings in three languages with her magic voice: English, Russian and Lithuanian. So it’s quite understandable for many many people. Penetrating female vocals, light piano melody, amazing words – this music touches the soul and doesn’t let it go.

Her debut CD was called «Laukinis šuo dingo» («A Wild Dog Got Lost»), released in 2008 and included 16 tracks.
And now we are waiting for the second one, called «Mutabor», which will be released on July,1.

the ghost who walks

First of all British supermodel Karen Elson is beautiful and charming, secondly – she sings wonderfully, and third – she is the wife of Jack White. And Elson’s solo debut, The Ghost Who Walks, was produced by that genius guy and was released on 25 of May.

“He’s brilliant because he gets the realness of you,” Elson says of working with White.

In general, the album is gentle, flowing, nice and filled with hints of Gothic elements.

The Legendary Tigerman is the artistic name of Paulo Furtado, a Portuguese blues performer in a one-man-band style. With a singular style, Furtado plays guitar, harmonica and drums alone on stage. He has released 5 albums: 2002 “In Cold Blood”, 2003 “Fuck Christmas, I Got the Blues”, 2004 “Naked Blues”, 2006 “Masquerade” and the last one in 2009 “Femina”, in collaboration with a number of female singers including Maria de Medeiros, Asia Argento, Peaches, Becky Lee, Rita Redshoes, Cláudia Efe, Lisa Kekaula, Cibelle, Mafalda Nascimento.

be2gether

Along with other festivals, which will take place this summer, would like to tell you about this, which is so conveniently located to many people in Europe.

The largest music and art festival in the Baltic States Be2gether which takes place in Norviliskes (Lithuania), 50 metres to Belarusian border, is going to be arranged on the 25th-27th of June, 2010.

Be2gether announced that performing bands will include Empire of the Sun, Skunk Anansie, WhoMadeWho, Roots Manuva, Casiokids, Crystal Fighters, Ruble, Hydamaky, Everithing Is Made In China and many others.

In addition to musical performances, the festival offers other activities, including craft studios, cinema in the open air; also there you would be able to take part in mass wedding (the activity was very popular during the first festival), could see a 50 sq.m. artistic installation made of clay,  play space volleyball Bossaball, meet a lot of people from many countries, because Be2gether was created with a slogan Music Opens Borders to unite people.

The price of tickets will increase on the 25th of May.

Jacknife is a poster production studio located at Bristol, UK.

It was founded by Chris Hopewell after he met Ron Donovan and Chuck Sperry of the Firehouse Kustom Rockart Company at a silkscreen print demonstration at Flatstock poster convention in 2007.

He went back to United Kingdom and opened his own poster print studio. He named it Jacknife.
