Blogger's official apps for iPhone vs BlogSpace

2011-09-27T20:13:00.001+01:00

Finally, I've got what I had been waiting for. An iPhone application for Blogger is here ( I don't know if it's a new news for you). And I am currently writing this piece from it, just want to make sure if it lives up to my hope.

After a while.............…
Ok, it is not so fascinating app at all. You can't have access to stats and can't play with the design. You have a facility to upload pictures though. Damn, but no video is allowed. Google is not giving too much freedom in the selection of media.

This is Google's official app for Blogger. However, there are lots of unofficial one available. One of my favourites is BlogSpace (No, you can't access to stats or play with your design here too).

Compare the two apps and you will find BlogSpace having more advantages than Blogger. The topmost is the ability to embed videos in the blog entry along with photos. You can include any video available in your phone's library. The second advantage will be the ability to access the comment section. You can view the comments in your post and leave a reply very easily. There is a separate tab to do that.

Another thing I find difficult in Blogger's app is the preview option. The app opens the whole web template that somehow fits the screen of iPhone- a nuisance to eyes. However, the previewsection of BlogSpace is also not noteworthy, but it is certainly fast.

BlogSpace also gives an option to promote blog post directly to facebook by using facebook connect. It's something that you can't do from Blogger app.

So, lots of demerits Blogger's official app has over BlogSpace. There might be other apps as well that runs better than BlogSpace. Let us know if you know any. I want to conclude this post with a hope that Blogger app might have better features in an Android version. Google might have kept most of its best features hidden in order to force the mobile phone users to shift from iOS to Android. But being an iPhone lover, I will better stick to low functions apps for now.

Know "Kevjumba"- An Asian American Youtube Star

2011-04-21T22:36:00.001+01:00

Youtube has now become an easy platform for people to become popular; only thing you will need is a camcorder (or a mobile device with built-in video camera), a good story plot (it doesn't matter if you don't have one) and a star cast (and that's you). Upload your video on YouTube and now, you become a YouTube star. Easy as it sounds, right? Well, not exactly. There are millions of people who published videos on YouTube but not all of them become popular. Some videos couldn't even reach to 100 views in many months. You will soon find it very hard to increase the number of subscribers for your channel. So, how to make it works for you then? Let's learn that from Kevin Wu, one of the most popular YouTuber exist on the planet EARTH.

Kevin Wu, still in his teenage, becomes a celebrity through his YouTube channel "Kevjumba". He launched this channel in July 27, 2006 and has now over a million subscribers. According to the statistic published in his channel, he is at rank 12 among the most subscribed Youtuber of all time. That's the massive success for the young lad like Kevin. His videos are viewed over 155,340,717 so far. Incredible, isn't it? He's already on that level of stardom, where his every video gets over a million view in a short period of time. What's so special about his videos? That's the question you might be asking now. I've watched some of his videos and they are really funny. Kevin is a vlogger (video blogger) who talks about the thing happening around him. His cameo with his father is loved by most of his subscribers. His videos are entertaining, but also informative as he tries to share his opinions on various subjects. He has also worked along with Wong Fu Productions in some videos, which also worth watching.

Here I am wrapping this post by giving you a look at one of many popular videos from kevjumba channel. Enjoy!!

The best website to learn web designing and computer programming online

2011-04-16T13:57:00.001+01:00

I must confess I am one of those guys who stuck his head in learning every stuffs around him. I build up a crazy idea that I should learn any interesting skills that are available in Internet. Basically, I am more passionate about IT stuffs like programming, web designing, graphic designing and even game designing. I didn't opt to go to school to take academic tuition though, because I felt Internet could become the most effective tutor for me, and that also without any cost. However, to get the right website out of millions available became a real troublesome task for me. Most of the online tutorial sites that I visited had very complicated approach of teaching, and anyone who didn't have prior knowledge of IT terms like me had found those tutorials difficult to follow. I would have given up my ambition if I hadn't stumbled to one great site: The New Boston .

Bucky Roberts, the creator of this wonderful website, is a master of all IT skills that people want to learn. He has a pretty cool and simple approach to teaching these stuffs and make them look so easy to understand. He has given tutorials on various subjects from scratch, that's why this website is so handy for novice. You can learn how to operate adobe applications like photoshop, dreamweaver, flash, premier and after effects, the must learned software for any web and video designer. For the one who is passionate about programming, Bucky has covered tutorials on C, C++, Java, Python and many more. He has lot to offer for people aiming to learn 3D Animation as well, and also for them, who want to make a video game for PC and mobile phones. His latest tutorials include building up cool applications for Iphone, isn't that cool?

Overall, this website is a complete package for IT learners. It's free of course. Thanks to Bucky for doing such a great jobs. You can visit and access his tutorials in his Youtube Channel as well: The New Boston

When a cat knows kung fu

2011-04-11T01:41:00.000+01:00

We're aware of the great rivalry between cats and dogs. Remember the Tom & Jerry cartoons, where Tom the cat always gets scared of a Bulldog. Normally, we think that cats are afraid of dogs because dogs are bigger and stronger, but what if the cat knows "kung fu"? Something similar happens in the video below, where the dog meets its biggest nightmare; a fighting cat. This dog might have never thought that it is going to meet the strongest. Watch the funny video.

I would never mess up with that cat. But, I will love the dog in this second video. It seems even the dog knows the meaning of praying. Unfortunately, we human beings forget the importance of god and involve more in non-human activities. Watch this second video, and learn something from this cute dog.

There are so many funny videos like this in stupidvideos.com. Visit the website and enjoy collection of good, funny and stupid videos.

Reason not blogging and Britney Spears

2011-04-08T01:08:00.000+01:00

It's been a long time since I wrote something in this blog. The reason is people have stopped making interesting videos online. Just Kidding!! Actually, I have been quite busy in writing my MBA dissertation which is due date in May. And at the same time, there was a cricket world cup that concluded few days ago. I haven't told you much about myself, have I? Ok, let me leave that for some other days. I will dedicate a full post describing myself in the future.

So far, my posts include some popular videos from Youtube. There are millions of them, and to sort out the most interesting one for you is always a hard job. But, I will not give up. Today, I bring you a new song by pop star Britney Spears. The music video of the song entitled "TILL THE WORLD ENDS" was premiered on 5 April, 2011. This particular video was extracted from BritneySpearsVevo channel and in just 3 days, it has already got 2,942,644 views. That's amazing.

Britney Spears is getting lots of positive feedback for this video. Here's the review from popular news blog Huffington Post and another entertainment blog Rolling Stone. It seems the pop princess will keep rocking the world with her stunning performance.

The Rock is back-If you smell what he is cooking?

2011-03-10T17:32:00.003+00:00

The World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) is expecting a massive leap in its total payperview earnings with the return of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. It is confirmed that The Rock aka "People's Champion" will be a part of WrestleMania this year, but it is still a secret what his role in the great event would be.

The Rock was the superstar of the golden days of WWE. He achieved an incredible stardom by competing in wrestling events, and won the World Heavy Weight Championship nine times in his career. He carried out his popularity from WWE to Hollywood and was casted in some wonderful action movies like "The Mummy Returns" and "The Scorpion King". He along with his WWE stage intro "If you smell..." became the popular brand among many wrestling lovers.

Annoying Orange is the YouTube star

2011-03-10T01:24:00.001+00:00

Do you know that a talking fruit is one of the biggest stars in YouTube? For those of you who don't know what I am talking, may be I am a nut. But, the truth is what I said. A YouTube channel with the name realannoyingorange made fortune with one very crazy character: an annoying orange. This channel is just an year old, but has already got 1,690,506 subscribers till date. This channel is viewed 53,528,913 times, while the total views from the uploaded videos are 516,623,134. That is an incredible figure for something that sounds so crazy. You might be wondering what's so special about this orangy thing. Here I am uploading a video for you to decide.

The main character of the video is a "talking" orange, supported by many other talking fruits and vegetables. As the name suggests, the orange is quite annoying because of its nonsense behavior and talks. It makes other fruits and vegetable [and the viewers as well] crazy beyond the point of limit. For me, it is more irritating than funny, and surprisingly, people enjoy that. Let me know how you find this video.

Daily Video- I know no English

2011-02-14T12:07:00.003+00:00

Okay, so here we are again with our regular segment "daily video". We hope you like our earlier videos, but hey, how do we know if you don't leave any comment? Do jot down some words of appreciation or criticism if you have any.

So, today's video is a part of many BBC comedy clips on youtube. This one we personally find very funny. We hope you like this as well.

This clip shows an incident when one "probably a tourist" lady asked one lad if he could speak English. It's an irony that the guy replied in English that he couldn't. The series of conversation went on and on...and then, lady started to speak in Deutsch (German language). And the guys (another one joined the group later) started to say that they couldn't speak Deutsch as well, but said everything in Deutsch. It is not an usual situation in real life, but let's take it as a comedy. See you in next post.

2011-02-13T15:03:00.000+00:00

Daily Video- Game Over

2011-02-12T17:00:00.000+00:00

If you love video games, I bet you had played "Super Mario Bros" in your childhood. Remember the two plumber brothers Mario and Luigi, who fought with many creepy creatures in the Mushroom kingdom to get a beautiful princess back from Mr. Dragon. Most of us only saw the happy ending of this story, but one youtuber believes that the story has not ended at this point. This video is much more on Mario's life post marriage. This video is quite funny and I hope you like it.

Instagram is one cool iPhone application you must have

2011-02-12T16:28:00.001+00:00

I own iPhone 4 and this is such a cool mobile phone. In fact, it is much more than a mobile phone. Using internet at handset has never been so exciting before, however; there are many new smartphones with similar features, but iPhone 4 definitely stands out of the crowd.

If you have got iPhone 4 (or iPhone 3GS), you must be aware that you can get loads of cool applications via iTunes. There are so many to choose, and we are quite unsure which one will be the best suited to our taste. Sometimes, it happens that we installed the applications that would crash down after few minutes of launch. Yummylife tv thus wants to give some handful suggestions on some very good iPhone apps that you must have.

As the first part of this category, we would like to suggest about a very exciting photo editing application named "Instagram". Instagram is a free application that you can download from iTunes. It is very good for those amateur photographers, who want to give amazing effects to their photos. It is easy to use application with number of tools to give various looks to your photos. Whether you want to give your photos 70s style look, or want to give black and white touch, instagram do it for you completely in professional way. Here are some photos that I retouch using this application.

I change the blurry picture into 70s style

The lion looks vintage in Early bird style

It's not quite satisfactory, edited in X-Pro II effect

Lomo fi gives a dream like effect

Instagram is also a photo sharing social network, where you can share your creation directly with other users. Besides that, you can share your photos with your friends on other social network sites like facebook and twitter. It is one good application and I recommend all of you photo loving people to install it in your iPhone from iTunes for free.

Here is a youtube video by appvee that reviews on instagram. Thanks to the uploader. It might be helpful to you.

Drop some comments if you have more exciting iPhone applications. See ya in next post.
