Since Puella Magi Oriko Magika has been fully scanlated, we are putting that project on indefinite hold.  I’d like to complete the scanlation, but Oriko requires a huge amount of redrawing and I’d like to focus on higher priorities.  Over the last several months we’ve acquired innumerable yuri doujins and there are quite a few that I’d like to scanlate.

Blue Friend, 2nd Season is a new serialization with different characters than the first series (Blue Friend). The first chapter was published in the July edition of Ribon. The manga ran for five regular chapters plus an additional chapter in a special Ribon release.  Yurikai.com has all the chapters of this manga available for scanlation.

Blue Friend, 2nd Season: Chapter 4 is in QC right now and should be out soon (maybe even tomorrow if we rush it).  Though, certainly… No one probably believes me now.  It’s okay, the little girl that cried yuri was immediately pounced by a feisty lesbian recruiter and they lived happily ever after.  The End.  I bet you expected a sad ending like most yuri stories.

Blue Friend: 2nd Season is actively being scanlated! Expect more news soon~  Thank you to everyone that applied or requested information about helping with our scanlations.  We now have four people working here and there on our scanlations, and I’m hoping this will help to improve our release speed.

Yurikai and DoujinPress are hiring! This is a paid/barter position.  Qualified candidates must be local to the San Francisco, California Bay Area.  Applicants must possess most or all of the following skills:

• Organization, multitasking and time management
• Fluent Japanese, spoken and written
• Web development (HTML,CSS,PHP,MySQL)
• Graphic design (Photoshop, Fireworks)
• Attention to detail

Actually, we just moved the entire website to a new hard drive.  We were kind of running out of space and it was beginning to be an issue.  Expect updates next year…  Which begins in less than a week.
