Freebie: Social Networking Icons

I love giving you guys freebies and I love making cute networking icons so I decided to make up two sets for you! The first set is the fancy (the top set) set and the second one has the fun colors called clouds (the bottom set). To download the full sets just click on the name of the set(s) you want. To download just the one’s you want right click on the images you want and save to your computer.

To use: upload images to your site (for self hosted), or a place like Photobucket.com. Then copy the code below, and replace the bold words with the URL of your social site, the URL (or Direct Link) of your image, and the name of your image. Then copy the entire code and paste into a widget on your sidebar.

Tutorial: Adding Authors/Admin to your Blogger Blog

I get alot of people who ask me how to add someone as admin to their blog. it’s easy enough to do and I thought I would show you how.

First step: Click on Settings on your blogger dashboard

Second Step: Click on Permissions under the settings menu

Third: Click on Add Authors

one you click on that button a box will pop up where you enter the email of the person you want to add as author and then later admin. Once they accept the invitation you’ll see that it says author (where mine say admin)

Fourth Step: Making admin. Click on grant admin privileges.

I’m currently accepting new orders for June!

I’ve also started working on the new layout! I was never really in love with this layout so when I saw the Cre8tive burst theme on studiopress I fell in love and knew it would be perfect for the new layout! As of today all I’ve actually done to the layout is set up the sample pages and posts so that I could see what it looked like. I’m so in love with this theme and I cannot wait till it’s actually done! My goal is to have it done and all set up by June 1st. The one thing I’m stuck on is the colors. I had colors chosen but I don’t love them anymore So I’m asking you. What are some color/combos that you like?

and yes those are cupcake picture placeholders. it’s because I used the cupcake ipsum placeholder text and I thought the cupcake pictures fit.

I also have a new team member! She does custom Illustrations at Miss Pickles Design Studio.

Wait List is closing

I’ve decided that I have to close the wait list for designs for now. My plan is to use March and April to catch up on my school work because I’ve been putting school on the back burner for designs. Which has caused me to fall behind on designs and school. I plan to open it back up for new designs starting in May.

This will also allow me to concentrate on giving you guys the best service possible and hopefully stay on schedule with my school work and my designs. I’m doing this because I have to do better in school because while I love working with you guys I dont make enough to pay for school so I need to keep my financial aid.

I’ll still be accepting new designs but I won’t be adding any to the que till May and then I’m going to do only 3 a month. Also even though the Blog Design wait list is closed doesn’t mean that you still can’t get a media kit done from Jenn.

Maintenance & Questions

The new layout is almost complete and I’m so excited to show you! This week I’ll also be going through and updating our portfolios and possibly redoing the parts of a blog page to match the new layout (this is on the list but may have to wait depending on time). I am back in school now but if you have contacted me about redoing your blog and I haven’t responded let me know because I may have missed your email.

Here’s a sneak peak at the new layout!

I have another poll for you guys. Do you like having the list of clients I’m working on available for you to look at? I took it out when we moved to WP but I was thinking of putting it back in. What do you think?

Also I’m going to try and post more tutorials since I don’t have many on here now. Is there anything you’d like to learn?
