So I wanted to do this post around my birthday but the blog train just wasn't running then. But I really want to make these a traditional post. So I'm doing it now. I love the idea of having these to look back on to see how I change every year. So let's take a crack at my A-Z year 3! ... 4 months late.

My 2020 Reading List

I'm kind of embarrassed about how little I've read these past few years. I've I haven't even really supplemented it with blogs. I just haven't read much. So that is why I have set a goal to read 24 books this year. 2 a month seems doable. I also have a goal for 12 Wicca books this year. So 3 books a month in total. Seems plausible.

I've been aware of how different my views are from my parents since I was 16 or 17. But in these last few weeks, I have never been more grateful for this fact. I am so utterly proud to be so different from my parents.

It's pride month!! My first pride month really out! Tho I never really "hid" my sexuality online, this is my first pride month since I officially said "Hello! I'm Queer!" so I've very excited! To kick off the month I wanted to do the coming out tag.

Yesterday I realized my apples were starting to winkle and one was starting to get really soft. So I need to use them up quick! Apple Crisp is the perfect way to use up apples before they go bad and it's delicious! Personally, I think that apple crisp is better than apple pie. I just love that crunch of the topping!

A big goal for me this year is to become green and switch to as many paperless and plastic-free products as possible. I want to reduce my contribution to Garbage Island as much as possible. So I've been doing some research and finding things to replace my most used single-use items. I've already switched Paper towels and sponges for "bar rags" and I'm so excited to keep switching! A big thing I wanted to do while switching to Zero Waste is also buying my items from fellow makers. So I found as much of these as I could on Etsy. Another big 2020 goal of mine is to buy small any time I can. I'm tired of giving my money to Amazon and Walmart. Makers Unite!

Brands I was Surprised were NOT Cruelty Free

Like a lot of newbie CF consumers, I made some assumptions on brands cruelty-free status. But I learned quickly from research that a large number of well-known brands aren't CF. Some just seem like "why wouldn't they be CF" Some have whole campaigns about being clean and fresh products. It seems like brands like that would be CF right?

So I've decided to revisit this post because almost all of my 15 bucket list items in my original post included travel and or crowded spaces. And we all know that isn't happening in 2020. So I think I'd update it with things I can complete in lockdown. Plus making a list like this will help time make sense again. Like is anyone else going through that right now? Time is just lost. Anyway here are 15 new things I want to do this year. I guess my 2020 bucket list is now my 2021 or 2022 bucket list.

Wow, it has been quite a while since I sat down to write a blog post. I can't seem to stay on the blog train. This year has been a rough one for all of us, hasn't it? I lost my will to just about anything in January. I've been struggling to even fill the occasional Etsy order. But I think I'm finally ready to get back into the blogging world. And get back to my Etsy stuff and maybe YouTube too.

My Sexuality

A topic that I had a lot of trouble with for my teen years. Excepting who I was is something that didn't come easy to me. My parents were born in the 50s and 60s. They were both raised with pretty closed minds and that affected my view on LGBT for a long time. That is a sad and long story I'll save for another post. Eventually, I found YouTube and creators like Hannah Hart and Tyler Oakley who helped me except LGBT and eventually myself.

When I wrote my first fave CF Beauty Brands post I hadn't switched to buying only CF products. So I hadn't really dived into the CF world. I just looked up the brands I loved to see which ones were CF. But last year I decided to go full CF. I've dived in and have started replacing things I've used up with CF products. My favourite CF brands list has expanded.

I found and fell inlove with Wicca in 2019 but I haven't done too much for my new found beliefs in 2019. I want to dedicate more time to Wicca in 2020. I want to get more crystals and do spells and celebrate the sabbaths. Wicca really fits for me and I want to really celebrate that this year.

I can't believe that it's 2020! A sentence we'll all probably be hearing and saying all year. We'll probably be saying that until 2025 honestly. Anyway, new year, new decade. It's time for me to really get myself together. My goals have a theme this year, self-healing. And some are actually healing too. For the most part, the 2010s were the worst years of my life. Lots of mental health issues and physical problems too. In 2020 I'm aiming to take better care of myself.

It's been quite a minute since I've sat down to write a diary post! It's been a minute since I sat down to write any post honestly. I got really sick in October and was coughing my head off. Meet Luna

July was very exciting for us. If you don't follow me on socials, I adopted another kitty! Salem now has a tabby little sister named Luna. She's was a bit shy for the first week but now she is an energetic little fluff ball that follows me and her brother everywhere.
