Currently Crazoo has 3886 members, 8996 threads, 130,070 posts and have paid $1239.30 to date.

Lets see how much one can make from crazoo. Assuming you having 100 active referrals who post 20 posts a day and you posting 20 posts a day, that will give you $120 from referral earnings and $12 from your own post. This adds up to $132 per month. Wow it does sounds good but not exactly possible.

Having 100 referrals is not an easy task let alone active referrals who makes up to 20 posts a day. Based on the statistics, on average each Crazoo member is only paid $0.3188 to date. That is 32 cents only!!

Assuming only 1% of the memebers are active. Each member would only have made an average of about $32 ever since Crazoo started a couple of years back. While browsing through the forum i come across this member who joined in January 2006. He/she have 4000 posts and have made $42 so far. That is 2 years 4 months and 4000 posts to make $42.

My point is it is not possible to make lots of money from forums like this because pay per posts are too little. However you can try it out if you wish.

Blogger rolled out 2 new features namely the scheduled posting and a blogroll feature on 2nd april 2008.

Scheduled Post Publishing If you write a post on Blogger in draft and set the post’s date and time to some time in the future, we’ll schedule the post to appear on your blog at that time, and not before.
Blog List Add a blogroll to your blog’s sidebar. The Blog List is powered by Google Reader, so it can show when each blog was last updated and even include post titles and snippets.

These are new features which are not available in the current blogger but they are available on Blogger in Draft. In order to use this features now you will have to log in to http://draft.blogger.com.

Currently in order to schedule a post and post them automatically one will have to install wordpress plugins. But with blogger's scheduled posting it makes things much more convinent.

Alright you will ask what is so great about scheduled posting?

Believe me, scheduled posting does wonders!

For example you away on a vacation but wants to update your blog regularly, schedule posting can come into play. Just write all the articles in advance, set a time/date stamp and leave it there to work automatically.

This question have been raging on for quite some time. BlogRush the blog syndication network that have promised bloggers traffic to their blogs have failed in their promises or have they not?

Many bloggers are shouting out loud that BlogRush have failed miserably and are removing the BlogRush widget from their sidebars, while there are few who still believes in BlogRush and said that bloggers are to be blamed for low BlogRush traffic because of the unattractive post titles they gave to their blog posts.

Alex Sysoef is one of those who believe that it is blogger's to be blame instead of BlogRush. He did a little experiment by writing an article on How to Get $27,497 In One Hour Blogging. This fetched him a 11% click through rate from BlogRush. His rationale is to show bloggers that an attractive title is all that it takes to get a high CTR and the fault lies in bloggers not BlogRush.

Personally, BlogRush haven been a success for me. BlogRush have syndicated my last 12 post 6400 times but there were only 22 readers which makes a low CTR of 0.354%. This is pathetic!

BlogRush also came up with a new site called TrafficJam. TrafficJam also serve to help bloggers increase their site traffic. Popular posts, according to the BlogRush buzz meter, will be featured in TrafficJam.

No doubt being featured will get you more traffic. But this only applies to blog posts which are doing well on the BlogRush buzz meter? What about blog posts which are not doing well on the BlogRush buzz meter?

At the end of the day. More popular blog post on the BlohRush buzz meter will get even more traffic from TrafficJam, while others which are less popular will be denied of extra traffic.

Ouch i have been slapped!

Smorty really does what they preach. Smorty's rule 15 for bloggers,

"Bloggers caught submitting posts with duplicate content will be banned from
the Smorty network for life, there are no excuses"

Believe me, they are serious about it. I received a new opportunity yesterday to review on ashopcommerce dot com. I remember reviewing ashop dot com dot au 2 months back. Both websites are totally identical except for their domain name. Being curious and to a certain extend lazy i duplicated the whole post and made some changes to the anchor text only.

Guess what suprise i have in my email inbox the next day?

Unfortunately your blog was declined due to the following reason(s).
duplicate post content Once you fix these errors you can re-enter your
blog(s)
from your admin panel under the My Account section. Smorty."

Gosh!

And another email from Smorty saying the post have been declined too.

That means you're making an extra $500 per month WITHOUT DOING ANYTHING and that's just the first referral tier!"

Refer 10 people. 5 signed up and $1000 from adsense per month? What are the chances of these 3 cases happening to you at the same time? Too good to be true! Making $1000 off adsense per month? Majority of the people just cant do that.

Some simple calculations. Assuming a click through rate of 1.5% (which is the average CTR for most people) and cost per click of $0.20 (which is an above averave CPC for most blogs) one will need 333333.333 page views per month in order to hit $1000 in adsense revenue. Only A-list bloggers like John Chow can garner more than 300,000 page views per month.

My point is that it's extremely difficult to generate $1000/month from adsense. Only few are able to achieve this. This implies that income through referrals are low as many bloggers can only hit a low adsense revenue each month.

Even if you were able to make $1000/month through adsense from your own blog BlogBurner will be taking 50% off leaving only $500/month. That is half of your hard earn income gone. I would rather forsake earning through referrals and set up a blog at other free blog hosts.

Alright if you do not know what is a FeedJit widget, it is basically a small sidebar widget that shows where your recent site visitors comes from. This includes the country, and the referring url that the visitor comes from.

Just last week i placed a 125 Exchange button ad on zooble sidebar which was linking to John Cow. I guess there are a number of visitors clicking on the ad and visited John Cow Dot Com. This places my blog address on the FeedJit widget on John Cow Dot Com. That explains the free backlinks.

In order to effectively get your blog URL up on the FeedJit widget, there must be people constantly visiting the site with the FeedJit widget from your site. This is because the widget can only show up to 10 latest visitors. If the last referred visit from your blog is quite sometime ago, your blog URL may not appear on the widget as it is being replaced by visits which are more recent. This is especially true for big blogs like John Cow Dot Com due to its high number of daily visitors.

Previously i mentioned about earning lots of credits from 1800Banners even though you have have less than 100 pageviews on your site per day. It is possible to hit up to 20,000 credits or more using some underhand methods.

I believe this method is not allowed by 1800Banners if caught they will probably ban your account. For those who are interested and want to take a risk, here it is..Use Auto Refresher!

1. Download Auto URL Refresher 2.0.

2. Type in the URL of your own webpage.

3. set the min sec, max sec to refresh, number of times to refresh. I will suggest the minimum second to be 10 seconds if your computer is able to load the page quickly or 20 secons or more if your computer loads the page too slowly. In order to earn credits effectively, the banner must be fully loaded before the page is refreshed. Max seconds doesnt really matter.

4. Click start and relax! Everytime the page refreshes once, it will show one 1800banner which is equals to 0.5 credits earned.

Enter 9 URLs which contain a 1800Banner code in the page and speed up the credit earning process by up to 9 times!Take note, 1800Banners may not be shown everytime your page refreshes however such occurences are only occasional.
