This release only brings minor bug-fixes – namely to the issue some were having after they entered their settings the first time and didn’t select the server as primary. This is now fixed. This bug will only occur once… unless you delete all you servers, and start over!

A new first-run wizard was also added. This should help new users with less experience in how to setup their first connection. Users who already have configured their servers, should not see the wizard!

There still is an outstanding issue with the breakdown report. Some bytes seem to be miscalculated. This is going to be fixed soon! Now I’m working on the closed alpha release. I still have a few days left before release – so be patient

I discovered the error yesterday by a coincidence! I know some of you have had contact with the bug, as I have had several Google searches pointing to this site, with keywords like “nzbcc does not start” – and that is correct! If you tried to check one of those NZB files, you wouldn’t see any progress, but the program would be running – the indicator at the bottom animating!

While I was at it, I found another error.
This error(s) was in the Breakdown form. If the NZB file you were checking was huge (not the NZB file, but the content it was pointing at) – 30 GB+, the percentage result would sometimes be incorrectly rounded up! The Breakdown form would show 100% complete, but the chart behind it would show a small red vertical line, indicating something was wrong with the check.

I hope that bug is fixed for good now

I’ve been working on the next version of NZBcc, when I found a bug parsing some of the NZB files out there! I’ve been parsing A LOT of NZB files making this program, so I was very surprised to find this bug! And I was even more surprised to discover, that NZBcc failed silently … not reporting the error!

Anyways, a bug fix will be released in a day or two! Got to remove some some of the new features first

To make sure you got the right release, the version number (in the About form) should be: 1.0.4418.21964 – this is the latest and greatest version of NZB Completion Checker currently available enjoy!

It’s been almost an entire year since the last beta release, so a lot of new features have seen the light.

One of the most requested features, SSL, was already available in 0.8 alpha, which was released to testers a few months ago. Since then, new features like multiple servers support has been made possible! And how about the new password checker? Kinda cool And lets not forget batch-processing!

A few minor bugs were fix in this beta release. Now the timer resets instead of continuing counting upwards This bug has been there since the beginning… wonder how nobody never saw it!?!?

A small -bug- button was added on the About form. Click it, and go straight to the bug/feature request form (web) – easy! Please use it to report bugs and new feature requests. It’s completely secure (SSL).
